In the blink of an eye, love and lust turns to tragedy and death, and sex is the only way to make amends for her sins... She had the face of an angel and a body to rival the Venus the Milo’s… A lethal combination on a good day. So, ummm...dont really know what to say...The book went from sexy and kind of soap-operish to sordid in the last 10% of the book. I was left thinking...WTF?

The story begins with Lexie having not such a good time on her boyfriend's sister bachelorette party and suddenly...an accident happens and we are thrown into a completely different situation several months after. At this point Lexie and Enzo have become f#ck-buddies that are entangled in a masochistic-obssesive relationship. The next 75% of the book is about hot sex scenes and 5% side characters lacking any kind of coherence or depth.

And suddenly in the last 10% of the book the whole thing just takes another turn. As a woman, having Lexie think she doesn't deserve any better from Enzo because she was in an accident was infuriating, but we all know that guilt can make people act crazy. But when Enzo finally comes clean as to the real reasons he broke the engagement for and the bomb explodes , the whole Lexie trying, nearly begging him not to blame himself became disgusting.

So you just discover that your boyfriend actually saw you being , and that in his self righteous fury left you there without I don't know...thinking: " My girlfriend wouldn't do that, what the hell is this " and instead of acting furious, hurt... You act as the most important thing in the world are his feelings and him not feeling responsible at all????. Give me a break!!!!

The story was just ok. First chapter was good but then it dragged and then mindless sex with one hate f&@king the other. I felt the heroine was a doormat. I understood her choices except the last chapter. She carried lots of guilt and I get that but her response to the hero at the secret reveal was wtf moment. The main secret/issue did not come out until the end? There should of been more chapters dedicated to dealing with this revelation. I did not like the hero. I understand his anger but to punish someone you love for seven months. That's something a toddler would do for seven seconds. When he found out what really happened there should of been chapters of him groveling at least. No I got to read chapter after chapter of him being an ass. But two pages of him acting like a man in love. Really sad. For the heroine to know he did nothing. I don't think I could forgive or forget. The hero thinks so little his response is to blame the woman he loves. Terrible ending. 99% of the book was pretty ugly and 1% positive. He needed to earn that forgiveness and he didn't.

I really didn't like this story. I liked this author's Indigo books and she writes amazing H's. However, this one was a total miss. The story was disappointing and every character was awful. Basically everyone treats the h poorly bc she is blamed for an accident that happened while she was intoxicated. She takes the abuse for everyone and then near the end another bombshell is dropped that made an already frustrating story, worse.

This short, easy read was not my favorite. That's because I really couldn't figure out the point of the book. There were so many unlikely plot points, too many to make the book anywhere near believable, that it really damaged the credibility of the book as a whole. It's probably those situations where my daughter or sister tell me, "Only you would be bothered by that, Robin." But when the entire book is riddled with things that bother me? Ugh.

One I will mention is the flippant mentioning one character's bipolar disorder. It's mishandled and unrealistic in the book. One of my greatest pet peeves is authors who don't research psychological disorders, and adequate research was lacking in this book.

I did love another work by this author, so I won't hold this one against her.

Talk about paying for your sins. One night of drinking changed everything for Lexi, her best friend and her fiance. Lexi lost everything and her guilt and shame forced her into herself. Everyone wanted her to pay. Her bestie wanted her gone and her ex wanted her to pay in flesh after he caught her in a compromising position after the horrific accident. I felt so bad for Lexi. No one should have blame solely placed on them after an accident, especially one she wasn't responsible for. She was devastated and broken and willing to be used for sex by her ex, just to be near him. Enzo used sex as punishment. Enzo treated Lexi like she was nothing because he thought she betrayed him. Enzo had to keep telling himself that Lexi meant nothing to him, but when Lexi wanted to cut all ties, he realized she meant much, much more to him. This book was about forgiveness and second chances and how miscommunication and not following gut instincts can destroy a relationship.

This is a story of Lexi and Enzo meeting while Salsa Dancing instant connection then a powerful love. Everything changes one night a vey bad accident that tears apart everyone's lives. Blame put all on Lexi. Enzo and Lexi reconnect but for all the wrong reasons. For her she is punishing herself for being wreckless the night of the accident, Enzo wants to punish her for what he thinks he saw a year ago a few nights ofter th acciden as betrayal but was misread. Can these two figure out how to get back what they loss can everyone forgive each other for what happen that night a year ago. I think you should give this book a chance. Oh before I forget you get some very hot sex in this book. Get your copy.

Wow this was really different. I really wasn't sure at first and I didn't really feel the emotional connection at times, the story is great and I was confused like really confused for Lexi most of the way through.....oh Enzo you are one hot specimen, the sex throughout this is really HOT. It's just a shame how it ended so suddenly

This felt like a really short read. I enjoyed the storyline but I wanted more. I would have loved to read the full, detailed version of how Lexi and Enzo met and got together, also, the aftermath of the accident. Don't get me wrong this is definitely worth a read... It's just that instead of finishing this book and feeling satiated, I have been left with an unbidding thirst for more.

I was hesitant because there weren't many reviews, but this book was really good. Steamy, but with a plot to keep you interested. It is one of those reads you start and don't put it down until you are finished.

THIS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN THE BEST ZARA COX STORY, AND I KIND OF UNDERSTAND WHY THERE ARE SEVERAL BAD REVIEWS ON THIS...BUT THE THIRD STAR IS FOR ALL THE HOT, PASSIONATE SCENES.

OUR HERO is a jerk at the beginning, and since this wasn't a lengthy novel, his presence was rather abrupt and technically the characters were already in a relationship since chapter one until the accident ended their engagement. I like Salsa but I am biased about it being viewed as a manly sport because if compared to hockey...or football...it's a more elegant sport. Anyways, I don't really know what Enzo does per day except running some clubs at night and well throughout the entire story, he misunderstands the heroine's situation and treats her like dirt...and still has sex with her.

OUR HEROINE was out celebrating her friend's bachelorette party until the night ended in a nightmare. One friend dead, another in a comatose and the other with half her face ruined, except Lexi got out unscathed. Now, she's enduring survivor's guilt and it doesn't help when Cara, one of the friends is blaming her for everything, inducing more guilt and the man she was supposed to marry broke off their engagement and treats her so coldly now. I guess she's quite a strong woman in that sense, but she still soldiers on.

OVERALL the plot wasn't brilliant, but if you want it for the angst and sex...then this is your to go book. If you want something meaningful, with an alpha hero who didn't misunderstand his girlfriend getting raped as consensual sex...then read something else.
