What can I say...other than I am impressed with Reclaimed. It started a little slow for me. I think the main reason was that I was trying to get myself back into the Superi World and remember what happened in the last book. The main characters in this story have developed tremendously since the book one. Tristan has accepted that he is now Angeli though he may not know what all that will entail in the future. Set is probably one of my favorite characters. Being Epoto he has no one to guide him so he is learning has he goes. I also like the way Shashara has grown. She is still emotional with everything she went through but she has changed. She has developed her abilities further and does not back down when challenged. The main characters make new allies and go through harsh battles to make it to Palus Regia where they hope to find the help they need. Disaster does strike the closer they get to Palus Regia. Cliffhanger alert! I cannot wait until book 3 comes out so I can find out what happens!

I’m going to start out by saying I liked Reborn better. I felt like this book was a stepping stone to get to the next part in the series. It started out somewhat slow but once it picked up it grabbed my attention completely! The details in this book were extraordinary! I fell in love with Set even more! I feel like his character is growing in an extreme way. Not only is he maturing he is growing as an epoto and a person. I also liked seeing Anliac and Tristan’s bond grow.

I liked this line from the book

“Everything’s going to be okay, Shashara,” Anliac said as she curled into a ball for warmth. “Or it won’t be, and we’ll survive anyways.” Shashara replied (pg. 168)

That line right there shows how many times these kids have been let down. That the world has abandoned them. That all they have are themselves to depend on to move forward. It was a powerful line!

This may not be my favorite in the series but it had to happen to get to the next part in the story. I am excited for book 3! The build up from this book promises that the next will be GREAT!

Diving deeper into the world of Superi

My favorite part of this book was seeing the heroes grow into their powers, and deciding to accept their destiny. Tristan and Co. are on a long journey to victory, and not many people can help them, besides themselves. I thought the middle section of the book started to get long, but then I really started to like the way the relationships between the 5 main characters developed in that part of the book. Tristan and Anilac may be the flashier heroes, but Set and Shashara are my personal favorites. Then the action kicks in, and it’s really intense. You can’t help but feel for the heroes, and hope that the villains get what’s coming to them. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in Book 3!
