I don't remember if I said this before, especially because of how seemingly outlandish the comparison is, but the facial expressions sometimes remind me of Jhonen Vasquez.

I appreciate Shushu armpits on the front cover, but I feel Takemura-sensei draws them a bit too much like Yabuki-sensei, and they're kinda featureless compared to e.g. the work of Horikoshi, which somewhat ironically doesn't aim for overt eroticism. Also like Yabuki, Takemura draws feet kinda weird, which is unfortunate when quite a lot of the femdom fanservice ends up being foot-focused. I'm reminded a lot of 大嘘, actually.

Anyway, plotwise this volume kind of abandons the teaser at the end of Volume 1. We do encounter the Shuuki girl who may or may not be Yuuki's sister, but for the meantime the issue is the mere existence of human-like Shuuki, which prompts the government to have all its soldiers band together going forward, which in turn kicks off a small tournament arc to settle differences between the Seventh and (newly introduced to the reader) Sixth squads. More significantly, the Sixth Squad is home to Himari's sister, and there's bad blood between them, so the main idea is character development for Himari in this arc, kinda unfortunately sidelining Shushu. Did Yuuki even get a new form when bonding with Shushu? I guess not, because he transforms from Himari channeling Kyouka's ability. Digging the new ninja form, even though it maintains this super Japanese idea of "increased speed meaning decreased strength," which is not how force is calculated, but whatever.

I flipped through the volume briefly before actually reading it, and didn't see too much that stood out explicitly as sexy, I guess expecting something like two-page spreads of ass or titties. The fanservice in this volume starts off a bit... well, I don't want to say "light," but at least clothes are mostly kept on; the first "reward" Yuuki gets in this volume is clothed ballbusting by Kyouka. One can understand why VIZ doesn't pick up lewd Jump manga! We segue pretty soon into Kyouka grinding her naked foot on Yuuki's face, which, I think like in Volume 1, doesn't have "steam" or anything you'd expect from foot-centric porn manga (uh, n-not that I know...!). Good upskirts of Kyouka from front and back as well. Then we get Shushu and Himari nipples. Then a panty-flash (with disgusted facial expression, shout out to 40hara!) after Himari first uses Kyouka's power. Then she forces the "reward" to end by removing her skirt and sitting right down on Yuuki's face(!!). After that it's mild nudity by Himari's sister and a newer Sixth Squad girl with fatter titties. Oh wait, I skipped Himari showing her boobs to Yuuki for another reward! Kinda weird, because they look big-ish when she's pushing them up, but then she's shown as flatter to contrast the newly-introduced sleepy titty girl.

Himari's power turns out not to be just turning her arms into weapons, but rather the ability to copy other powers. Her sister has a time stop/rewind power with a DIO-esque time limit. Yuuki's sister is shown to juggle several Mato Peaches, suggesting other not-Arrancars will also have several powers. So the ability system is already kinda broken lol

Yuuki's sister is hot. Himari's sister is also hot. Other new girls are hot as well. I'm interested in the dragon(?) girl at the end of the volume, with the tan muscles.

I like this little tournament at the end of the volume along with the back stories of some of the characters. With that last panel, I'm very curious as to see what comes next!

Reseña Manga: Demon Slave, de Takahiro y Yoei Takemura.

🍑Hoy os traigo otra de las últimas novedades manga aunque esta vez viene cargada de demonios, acción y un toque de lo más picante: Demon Slave.

🍑Esta serie manga cuenta con una premisa un poco diferente a las típicas historias de cazadores de demonios:

🍑Resulta que en el mundo han aparecido portales de los cuales surgen demonios y monstruos, y solamente las chicas son capaces de plantearles cara.

🍑Gracias a una fruta mágica con forma de 🍑 (forma de melocotón, no de culo, que os veo venir), las mujeres pueden conseguir poderes para luchar contra los demonios, optando a un gran reconocimiento y formando parte de la primera línea de fuego y dejando el sexo masculino relegado a tareas tales como ser amo de casa.

🍑Pero a pesar de no contar con poderes nuestro protagonista se ve envuelto en una situación y se ve obligado a sellar un pacto con una cazadora de demonios, lo que lo transforma en una bestia ideal para el combate pero a su vez siendo totalmente esclavo de la capitana en cuestión.

🍑El manga cuenta con una premisa muuuy original, un dibujo chulísimo y grandes dosis de humor y acción, eso sí, como os decía al principio también tiene un toque picantón, y es que resulta que cuenta con una parte bastante erótica.

🍑No os preocupéis que no salen marranadas de las grandes y la cantidad de desnudos o cosillas son quizás...unas 10 páginas totales de casi 200 que cuenta el manga.

🍑A mi no me entusiasma nada esa parte guarrilla pero una vez pasas esas páginas el resto del manga mola muchísimo!!

🍑Os lo recomiendo si buscáis algo divertido y que entretenga bastante o si os gusta la temática de cazadores de demonios!!

Training and eroticism included

This volume delves a bit more into how Peaches work and begins a training arc, understanding more about Yuukis abilities and how they work in relation to the team. Also including some new characters from other squads and some pretty sweet, if basic, battle moments.

The artwork is the star here, with very nice and soft art panelling that give this bubble like line art to the characters. The world hasn't moved much in this volume but the character design is pretty stellar. This volume also picks up on much more eroticism, with more butts and breasts than before with Yuuki getting his share of oodling. Maybe comes across a little bit forced here and there just to have it but it's there for oggling. Ultimately though, the training arc kind of feels a bit early and doesn't move the plot along that much. It would of been nice to have more of how it is all connecting and some journey but it's building to that.

Loved: Artwork. Wonderfully bubbly and clean to read.
Liked: New characters introduced.
Disliked: Seems to plod along and not much is accomplished as we head into a battle volume.

Demon Slave Tome 2 by Yohei Takemura/ Kurokawa /Sorti le 8 Avril 2021. 192 Pages. Pierre Giner (Traducteur).

Même si j’ai moyennement aimé le T1 je décide de laisser une chance au T2 pour éclaircir les mystères des démons, de la sœur disparue et profiter des fameuses « récompenses » …

L’escadron anti-démons numéro 7 affronte un paquet de mauvaises créatures dont une en particulier qui se révèle être une bonne connaissance à Yûki.

Malgré un tableau des enjeux basiques, une vague intrigue familiale, tout tourne autour des petites culottes, poitrines généreuses et récompenses « pervers » j’ai quand même été emporté par la candeur du truc, voir les filles motivées au combat, comme des vrais mecs ; -) …

Les « démons » de base font davantage penser à des zombies, voir des titans…

Les escadrons 6 & 7 s’affrontent entre eux pour savoir qui a la plus grosse, et qui convoite Yûki … C’est l’occasion d’introduire de nouveaux personnages qui se révèlent plus forts que prévu.

Not much good-versus-evil stuff went on in this tankoubon of Chained Soldier as I predicted, but it was nice to witness new character introductions, a tournament to test the female protagonist Kyouka as she still goes about her journey, and the male protagonist (Kyouka's underdog aide Yuuki), and the birth of a beautiful bond between Yuuki and Himari (Kyouka's right-hand woman) amid the discovery of a commonality between them. So far, the sexual content (which matters to the story by the way) was executed in a way that tastes just right, and if your stomach can take it as well as panels featuring sexy women in birthday suits, you'll find it's actually a very good series (actually more enjoyable than Akame ga Kill! Zero and Succubus & Hitman if I may add), although not a series you wanna' read in a public area. On to the 3rd tankoubon of Chained Soldier for me!

More of a 3.5 star rating;
This volume picks up right where volume 1 ended and I have mixed emotions on whether or not that demon girl was truly Yuuki’s lost sister.
It was also pretty interesting seeing Yuuki interacting with the other girls on the 7th Squad of the Demon Defense Force. Yuuki and Nei give off lovely brother-sister energy and I will be very upset if the storyline turns their dynamic lewd. Seeing how Yuuki and Himari interacted throughout this volume was very amusing and I’m curious to see how their dynamic continues going forward.
This volume ended up on a very unique cliffhanger and I’m really liking this series so far.

I’m loving the story so far. The pacing seems pretty good too. Appreciate the authors notes at the end too, has a huge heart for fanservice so that makes me very happy. This author is very intentional and the notes very much spell that our. Some of the action scenes remind me of kill la kill and some panels were so well executed (like the shower scene with Himari’s sister)

Can’t wait for volume 3!

There is actually a lot more story in this, a character that might be the brother’s sister (I’m sure she is, but it’s not 100% confirmed) is introduced who disappeared in a disaster, turns out she switched teams!

We also get backstory from the most reserved girl and she develops a better relationship with the protagonist, it was actually quite sweet to see.

And then, there is a ton of fan service.

Another enjoyable volume. Still developing relationships between characters. The Mato Exhibition Games brings a bit more excitement and story telling to the series in this volume. While still plenty of fan service, it doesn't feel like it's relying solely on that anymore. It's more of a reward after each fight.

I am very disappointed in this series. I thought it would be more than fan service. The art is great, don't get me wrong but the characters aren't very interesting apart from their designs.
You can see that a great deal went on behind pacing the story but it's just not something I'm interested in.

J’avais beaucoup aimé le premier tome et j’avais hâte de retrouver les personnages dans ce second tome. J’ai beaucoup aimé cette suite. Il ya toujours du fan service qui peut mettre mal à l’oie sur le moment. Lorsque l’on tourne une page et qu’o ose retrouve avec une paire de seins en gros plans, il faut bien l’avouer, c’est quelque peu déroutant. Mais bon, on s’y fait très vite au final.

Dans ce second tome, le 7ème escadron rencontre Unicorne le démon qui a anéanti le village de Kyôka. Elle veut clairement prendre sa revanche et est prête à en découdre avec lui. Mais un détail chiffonné Yûki. En effet, une personne chevauche Unicorne. Et cette personne ne semble pas être étrangère à Yûki…

On en découvre un peu plus sur les personnages dans ce tome. On découvre par exemple la soeur de Himari, on apprend qu’il y a une grosse rivalité entre les deux soeurs. Elles vont d’ailleurs lancer les matchs inter-escadrons. Himari va donc essayer d’entrainer Yûki pour pouvoir battre sa soeur.

La fin nous promet une suite palpitante. On sent qu’il va se passer quelque chose d’important et que l’action sera au rendez vous. J’ai très hâte de découvrir le troisième tome. J’aime beaucoup cette série, le fait qu’il y ai de l’action mais en même temps beaucoup d’humour, je suis vraiment fan de ce mélange!
