Mark Foster, an 18 year old living in a technologically evolved world, becomes an intern at a prestigious company known as Ares. Ares is the company responsible for allowing the city to run smoothly, by powering their electricity and appliances, and controlling their self-driving cars. At the heart of each city in the country, there lies a generator that carries out these actions. However, the generator of Mark's city is completely unique- an android who resides in a suspension tank at the center of the control room in a seemingly peaceful slumber.
