Andrew Adam’s returns with the second baker’s dozen sized installment of his death obsessed trilogy.  Featuring thirteen new tales of terror, in this book he builds on his original collection of dark hearted reading for horror fans.  Coming in at 141 pages, the second gathering of the symposium continues on in the fast paced, easy to read format of short stories.  This book is a great distraction from the pressures of reality, I found myself chuckling at some of the stories and found myself reading from cover to cover in one seating. Special thanks to Andrew Adams for sending me these 2 little gems .
Horns up!🤘🏼

Title: Symposium Of The Reaper: Volume 2

Author: Andrew Adams

Synopsis: Symposium of the Reaper: Volume 2 continues as the second entry in the trilogy. Continuing where the first volume left off, only with even more venom and absurdity, the reader can expect pitch black humor and an experience that will chill them to the bone like the Reaper's touch itself. Symposium of the Reaper is for fans of horror anthologies with vast variety and from a single author.

Review: I loved Symposium of The reaper Volume one and I loved it! If you loved the goosebumps books or the show as a kid but wanted it to be more scary this is the book for you! When Andrew Adams himself told me there will be two more additional books I was ecstatic! More horror short stories to chill me to the bone! The stories in volume two are even better and I think scarier than volume one is! Each story kept me invested and I found myself covered in goose bumps when I finished them! I really enjoyed The beast and Me! I won’t spoil it but it’s about a dog named Jake and his owner who go out to find food for him to eat. I was left flabbergasted! In the end! So mucc happens in all of the short stories and I know it will stick with me for a long time! If your love horror or if you want to dip your toes I would recommend reading Symposium of the reaper volume one and two! This is also a great read for October if you want a good scare! Symposium Of The Reaper Volume 2 comes out February 10, 2023!

I want to thank Andrew Adams himself for giving me the opportunity to read this before it comes out! I appreciate it!

Attention attention dear horror lovers. Spring might be slowly creeping in, but here's Andrew Adams once again with his 'Symposium of the Reaper Volume 2 ', bringing horror to the masses and casting his beautiful dark veil full of scary tales.

Get ready to dive into 13 more short stories of utterly creepy atmospherics and experience genuine chills down your spine courtesy of the talented Mr Adams.

These beautiful stabs of horror come with an extreme dose of horror steroids as these are even more twisted and with more dark delightful humor than Volume 1 (which I loved).
Dear reader get ready to embark on a maniacally scary, horror roller-coaster thrill-ride, one that you will enjoy and yet leave you shaken at the finale.

The total result is an amazing collection of bizzare, dreadful , fun horror entertainment guaranteed to make you squirm and yet ask for more.

The overall atmospherics of the stories is like taking the wonderful and fun creepiness of 'Tales From the Crypt' and injecting the old school raw horror intensity of 'Evil Dead' resulting in pure horror fun, with a little cannibalism and some Satan and witches thrown here and there among some other essential elements of the wonderful horror genre.

'As Within, So Without' , 'The Truth about Cannibalism 'and 'You only Die Onve ' are three of my favorite tales found here. All three of them delightfully dark, delicious and eerily weird little tales that pack a serious punch.

Don't fear the Reaper, take his hand and dive deep into this terrific anthology of horrors.

It's a wonderful, fun and wild ride, laced with horrors and dangerous delights; one that you will enjoy for sure.

💫 my top 4 stories 💫

✨ Killers Anonymous
✨ Satan Claus
✨ Lake Umbra

When my husband found me curled up in creepy corner, cackling away to myself he asked what I was up to. I told him I was reading Symposium of A Reaper volume 2. Sometimes I like my horror served with a little side of tongue in cheek humour and this book brings you a great big portion!!
I really enjoy horror as short stories and this is a brilliant mix, there is all kinds of everything lurking in this book as the author displays great versatility to move between various styles and themes. I’ve still to read the first volume but I’ll be jumping straight on that!! If you love short stories, want a little fun in your frights then get yourself an invite to the Symposium of The Reaper!

After recently finishing Symposium of the Reaper Volume One and really enjoying it, it was time to move on to the second volume. Once again we’re treated to an anthology of 13 short stories and once again they’re all brilliantly done.

I love how the writing style differs so much in each story and how each story is so different to the others even though they’re all by the one author. It’s quite impressive really. The stories have also definitely stepped up a level in nature from those in the first volume.

Favourites from this anthology include Fear of Life, You Only Die Once, Killers Anonymous and The Beast and Man.

I’m really enjoying this series. I’ve said it a million times but short horror is sub genre that works so well. I think I liked this second volume slightly more than the first volume but they are both super fun. Most of the stories are around 10-12 pages long which makes the whole collection super fast paced because you just want to keep reading to know what the next story is. I can’t wait to read the third collection.

I was enthralled, captivated and put into a world of pure horror fun! Start to finish this book continues its excellency from its first volume. Mysterious lake tales, beef stew, serial killers in recovery… these tales have it all. The author is an upcoming legend in my opinion!! Book after book is well written and well thought out. Excited to see what comes next 🤌🏻

When the author asked me if I wanted to listen to the audio version of Symposium of The Reaper 2, I don’t think I even had time to think before saying yes! Andrew Adams is one of my favourite authors, an amazing versatile writer, and it shows in this second collection too!

This collection is a feast for the horror lover, with each story evoking strong feelings, be it existential dread (I’m still recovering lol), full-on dark humour, urban legends, the ultimate serial killer and all in all utter madness! I know that everyone will love every story equally when they reach the end like it happened to me, urging me to dive straight away into volume 3. Andrew’s writing is just so good, I can’t have enough!

I also have to say that the truly immersive audio production enhances the experience tenfold, together with the beautiful narration by Chadwick Poulsen hurling the listener into the stories with the characters.

Horror lovers, if you know this author but haven’t gotten to this collection, get on it. For those that love horror and haven’t read this author yet, Symposium of the Reaper is the perfect way to appreciate his talent and skills.

Thanks to the author for an audiobook and this is my honest opinion.

It's a short story collection of 13 stories with topics that will thrill, haunt and question your sanity. This anthology is the second book in the Reaper trilogy and the stories share the somewhat absurd atmosphere of the first collection. There's suspense, dark humor, gore and a lot of psychological nuances that can be interpreted in different ways. Starting off strong with a particular hunger (you'll have to read the collection to understand this), it carries all the way through every story. There's no escape for the wicked and neither for those who, in any way, are seized by them - something in common for the characters portrayed. Anonymous or not 💀😉

Stories vary in themes but they're all horror stories nonetheless. Creepy yet imaginative, over the top and fun (yes, fun!) with twists and turns and/or taking your every day possible situations and turning them into something sinister (like visiting a new neighbor, night out with friends, a writing retreat etc). Or even more frightening, the "what's real, what is not" scenarios.

These are short stories with a memorable punch, some borderline psychotic, all thoroughly enjoyable for the fans of the genre.

The Reaper is back with 13 new tales of terror to tantalize your brain. Continuing where the previous one left off, this volume features stories of Cannibalism, witches, Man's Best Friend, Murderers, and more. Take The Reaper's Hand and enter a world of dark humor, the macabre, and unimaginable.

While this set of stories had some gems, notably: The Hunger…It Aches", "You Only Die Once", "Killer's Anonymous", and "The Beast and Me", it just didn't grab ahold of me like the first set. It is still a great collection of short horror stories. I recommend you check it out if you love anthologies and enjoyed the first book.

So...I thought book one was fantastic...book two just gets better. There's so much I want to say but can't as it'd spoil it, so what I will say, is read these books... not only are some of these incredibly original and imaginative, but they are full of edge of your seat, thrilling horror which will grip you tightly until you've finished every page, or mind twisting stories which make you question what the reality is. I had some stories in here I wished were full-length novels, and some which were the perfect length to tell a story with maximum intrigue and thrills. I definitely need to read the rest of the series to see what else this author has written.

This is a great horror anthology book which holds thirteen short stories within. Continuing off of Symposium of the Reaper Vol. 1 (which I also had the pleasure of reading) in vol. 2 you can expect some bone chilling stories along with a decent amount of dark humor that will leave you with goosebumps.

Each story is so unique and written quite well. You never get the same feel twice and I love that about these stories. You never know what to expect out of each one.

Personally, I adored “The Hunger…it Aches” and “Killers Anonymous”

This is volume 2 in a continuation of brilliantly written short stories that bring you dark humor, satire, spooky vibes and a few bone tingling chills. I love the smart dark humor the author uses and the unexpected round about way he brings those spooky horror vibes without all the usual scare tactics. Each story brings you something different and interesting making it so hard to not want to read on to the next story. It gives me all the nostalgia vibes of scary stories to tell in the dark and I loved every single page!
