Neither the best Zane Grey, much less the best westerns I have read. There were a handful of scenes during the Buffalo Hunter that had some powerful imagery of the last surviving herds and such but mostly I found myself struggling to stay interested with this book.

If you don't know much about the old west and more importantly the majestic buffalo, grab this great classic book.
