Anika Patel has a loving family, a bright career, and a sweet man who is her best friend with the possibility of becoming something more. But one phone call and an impulsive decision changed it all. Trapped in a violent land where family honor meant everything, she is forced to marry a brutal and terrifying stranger who threatens to steal her heart and soul. Abhay Singham has only one burning ambition—to end the bloodshed and bring peace among his people. If that means marrying his enemy's daughter, then so be it. He expected to hate his beautiful, reluctant wife who fears him and wants to escape him. But what he didn’t expect is to feel a burning desire to hold her in his arms and make her his forever.
2.5-3 Stars ehhhhh another just not really for me book
I wasn't crazy about the writing/execution style of story. It didn't flow smoothly it felt more like "forced" dialogue. Maybe it's just a me and not you thing sadly:)
A Lethal read! Certainly, my kind of novel! Loved it, lived it!!! The painful Intensity of MV Kasi and The scorching passion of PG Van, the combination leads to a lethal read. There were places which reminded me of Barbara Cartland novel moments. And yes I had the signature moments of M V Kasi’s intensities and P G Van’s scorching Passion. I am not going to go into any details friends. I would love to dive in again into the world of Singham. The journey of a strong woman who is thrown into the wild and barbarous world of revenge, blackmail, and force is intense and passionate. How the cowering scared Anika tames the monstrous and impassive husband: Abhay Singham. Certainly, my kind of novel! Loved it, lived it!!!
Not my type. Judging a book by its cover, I thought it is going to be an arrogant male protagonist and his revenge stories. The book turned out to be a yucky romance story. Yucky cuz there is too much of physicality involved. There is a lot of violence too. That is just not my type.
The 'heroine' comes to India for seeing her father's family; gets married in a blur and starts to notice how brutal her husband and others are. Then gradually she starts to learn about her husband and his family. She also learns that violence is okay, and then she takes on life, too. From hating others who killed, to becoming one herself, the transition was very quick, and not in a good way.
Disclaimer: I have BOUGHT this book and the author has NOT paid me. It's only my serious, under the blanket, dream that reviewing becomes a booming business and I am paid thousands of dollars from every author for my two lines of reviews. But since that is not happening, Amazon/Goodreads please don't take down my reviews since I really love reading and reviewing books. Thank you.
Abhay Singham is one of the most unbelievably to die for character Authors MV Kasi and PG Van can create. Dangerous and brooding. Bloody (Literally) yet the heroine can only think of kissing him. How powerful can that kind of charisma be? In all the romances I have read recently, this is one of the most action-oriented heroes I have met for a while. Though some of us might cringe when it comes to the bloody scenes, yet hold on to your kindles for every scene is justified.
Anika, on the other hand, is more believable. She has a pride yet that does not mean she is suicidal. I mean how can you expect to fight one whole clan, without having superpowers? So her accepting the situation and slowly winning the hearts of those around her makes it more doable.
The relationship between the two protags is hot. Sizzling. There are moments you want to push them together of the butterflies in your stomach.
The dialogues sound natural. Very much the way the authors have written their other books. So it's a surprise to me that two individuals have maintained their individualistic traits yet able to merge their style of writing.
The secondary characters are very strong. The villains, the belles, and even the relatives, all leave a mark in the psyche of the reader. The storyline stays steady throughout and though in the ending you have a few moments of frustration because being an HEA book you know the ending, yet to reach it you have to cross a few more pages.
Looking forward to reading the second part of this series. A definite 5 star to this book.
Have absolutely no words for this story. Reading a collaboration between two brilliant authors who write effortlessly and leave readers spellbound . One is a queen of writing complex human emotions and capturing it beautifully while the other is pro at writing passion The intensity & powerful writing style of both these authors had pulled me in as a reader to reading the stories written by each one of them. But reading this story I was blown by the effortless collaboration and the intensity of the story and how smoothly & effortlessly these two pulled it off . Definitely a must read. Absolutely loved Anika & Abhay characters and their lethal chemistry. So glad I had pre ordered this story as soon as I saw it on Amazon and the minute I saw it delivered on my Kindle I had to read it just couldn't leave the story. It's totally captivating and engrossing. I can't wait for the next story in the Singham series. A must recommendation and read for those who enjoy reading books with a strong plots with captivating characters and storyline . A must read 👍👍
This book has a strong plot, quick pressing, and locks in with unexpected twists and turns and intense romance. Two best authors wrote the book, one is good in plot twist writing, and one is good with dialogue writing. At the beginning of the book, as suspenseful as it should be to intrigue us about the story.
Anika's character was innocent, shy, caring, and selfless. But she was a brave, mature, and strong-willed woman and passionate about her dreams as a doctor. She was in a mess after marriage but never gave up on her dream. The best thing about her, things are not favorable to her, but she decides not to give up. Abhay's character was dominant, less spoken, and secretive. At the start of the book, Abhay's character is entirely different, brutal, violent, and emotionless, but the turn of events shows me an alternate man, and that makes me like him more. Abhay is not quite the same as what we generally imagined alpha males to be.
Anika and Abhay have slow-burning, intense romance and sizzling chemistry. Other supported characters make the story more impressive with their hidden motive and tale. Bound by Revenge has a dark theme and expositive violent scenes. This book is light on Indian village's problems and rape issue and also society mentality. This book's language is straightforward, easy, and simple to read. Three families fighting for a long time have too many secrets. To uncover them, the author uses proper time and space in the story to not reveal more detail to create more suspense. The author isn't just centered around the progress of the couple's relationship but took more space to tell and portray their world. This book has twist-turns, thrill rides, drama, secrets, stunning romance, and unforeseen turns with a happy ending and teases us with the following book plot. This book has the power to make you want to read the second installment. I am excessively charmed with this book and the couple, which suggests it is a must-read.
In this technology age we would think we are liberal..but in villages still people have fued among themselves..it's quite well written..I could visualise Virasat movie when there were fights in the book..it was a great experience to read something different..waiting for the next..keep up the good work and all the best!!!
Anika is a spineless woman who can only stutter and mumble and act incredibly passive. I liked the hero and the whole Indian atmosphere brought me in a mystical 101 Arabian Nights mood!
"Welcome to India, the mystical land of varied cultures and traditions."
Anika Patel led a perfect life.
Anika She had a loving family, a bright career as a doctor, and a man who was her best friend with a possibility of turning into something more.
But one phone call and an impulsive decision changed it all...
She headed for a two week vacation to a place in India to meet with her late father's relatives. When she got there, what transpired was right out of her nightmares. Stuck in a land of no rules or law, where family honor meant everything, she was to be bound by revenge to a man who threatened to steal her soul and also her heart...
Abhay Singham
WARNING: This is a fictional romance story that transports you to a different world that has no restraints or boundaries. Please proceed with caution as the book contains graphic violence and sexual content that is recommended for mature reading audiences with an open mind only!
I found Bound by Revenge while searching for suspenseful reads by Indian authors on Amazon and I am so glad that I read this book. Absolutely stunning, I have found two incredibly talented authors, MV Kasi, and PG Van through this book and I can't stop raving about their writing styles.
The first book in the Singham Bloodlines series, Bound by Revenge is a brutally engaging read. It sucks you into a world that is reeling from decades-old feud among three powerful families that has already claimed so many lives and still continues to claim more. In this violent world, everyone has hidden depths to their characters and the three powerful families lay down the law.
An alpha hero who comes across as beastly and a seemingly meek heroine, the protagonists were able to fool me with their first impressions and then left me wide-eyed and completely in love with their development as the story progressed.
Due to explicit intimate scenes and violence, this book is suited only to readers above the age of eighteen. I usually shy away from books that have too much violence but in this book, every aspect of the story is so beautifully and skillfully woven that I sat engrossed and compulsively turning pages. Every scene is necessary to the build-up of the story and nothing feels out of place.
Njkinny highly recommends Bound by Revenge and give it super shiny 4.5 stars out of 5. A must-read book, this book has everything right from a crisp and masterfully executed storyline to unpredictable twists and turns to characters that are delightfully wicked but totally adorable. The first book that has made me fall in love with grey-shade characters that are unrepentant for their almost seemingly villainous actions and still make my heart go aflutter when they show their real self, Bound by Revenge has earned its place in Njkinny's list of the Best of Books of 2018. I have already re-read this book four times and each time it still manages to surprise me. It is that good!
I feel short of words to describe my experience reading this book and then the subsequent books in The Singham Bloodlines series that I happily admit I obsessively devoured one after the other. Don't wait and go read this book and then the whole series. You can thank me later!
I recently started reading books M.V.Kasi, when I came across The Singham Bloodline series, I searched the order and downloaded all books and started reading from Abhimanyu and Devasena's story in Bound by forever. Following there might be spoilers. Before reading, I read description of all the books. When I finished Vijay and Arundathi's story in Bound by Love, I had lots of questions related to the descriptions of the three main books...How Arundathi was killed? Why sabita's father killed Arundathi? Why Singhams and Prajapatis are fighting when Ajay and Neelambri are about to get married? Why Anika is called as Patel instead of Prajapati? But the authors have scripted the story excellent revealing detail by detail still maintaining the thriller in the story keeping the readers captive.
PS: I'm a reader from TN, when the character Neelambri was introduced in Bound by Love, I thought the author just named to keep the character a royal born. But as most of the 90s kid from TN, when I came across the name, the first thing came to my mind was Ramakrishna's role in Padaiyapa movie instead as a name of a Raga. But I was flabbergasted when this Neelambri was exactly inspired from the movie.
This is one of my favorites series in 2021 reads. After Devil's series, This was the one that motivated me to proceed with my reading streak. Thanks to both the authors.
Can two strangers who hate each other because of family history, get attracted at first sight and yearn for each other. If you think no, you are in for one hell of a story to prove you wrong. if Yes, it's worth it! Abhay Singham is the proof I can guarantee.
Abhay is strong, brave, and fierce as a lion (as his surname) and man of few words. he is respected by everyone in his village and feared by his enemies. Oh, He is HOT AND HANDSOME🥰. Her first impression on him was admiration mixed with fear. Anika Patel, a doctor in United States, is soft spoken and caring. His first impression of her was the timidness she had but the need to posses her overwhelmed. Amidst all that is happening, they found themselves in each other but when he asked her to leave, she was shattered. Was he serious? what happened after, with twists and turns is more interesting. I guarantee they have a HEA you would like.
I re-read it like for the Fourth time while writing this review 😅
The Singham Bloodlines series comprised of total of three books. The stories revolve around three groups of people: Prajapatis, Singhams and Senanis. These stories are full of hatred, revenge, bloodbaths and LOVE. In these lands people brutally murder each other and justice is done by people themselves. There is no law and order in these lands except the rules made by these groups of people themselves. Of all the three groups, Singhams are the strongest and richest and the only one who give equal importance to the people of their land. These stories reminded me a bit of Ram-Leela movie.
I loved all the three books but my favorite is the first book “Bound by Revenge”. This is the story of Abhay Singham and Anika Prajapati. Their love is so intense and knows no boundaries. They give in to each other completely. I loved it how Abhay can be extremely ruthless while serving the justice and meanwhile is the caring and gentle lover to his wife. He is extremely protective of his people, his family and most importantly his wife. His love for Anika has no limits, and that’s what draws me to the story most.
So, what drew me to this book? Two things: 1) I was away from the husband for a couple of weeks and what better thing to do than immerse myself in a romantic read and miss him more? :D 2) This was an 'Indian MNB' material. And if that wasn't enough - it was set in Rayalaseema - well, it's not mentioned explicitly but you just can't miss the connection with obvious references to factionalism and inspiration the story seeks from some of the movies set against this backdrop. I was intrigued to see such high ratings and was eager to check it out.
Was it worth it? Partly yes - there were some toe curling moments, but it was drab beyond that. The blatant references to popular films - including the naming of a character as 'Neelambari' - were too distracting. I would have preferred if the author did away with these unnecessary movie overtones and stuck to building more depth to Abhay's and Anika's characters.
Did I like it? Enough to make me read the next one in this series :D
Would I recommend it? Only if you are lovesick and have nothing better to do - which was exactly why I picked it up!
I was really intrigued at the beginning. I thought, “Yes, a story with Indian touches!” But I was disappointed.
The story wasn’t written well. It felt amateurish, with everything phrased so simply.
And the story itself was boring as hell. Like I said, I was intrigued at first, but as time went on, I became bored. The FMC was a trembling leaf throughout the story, and the MMC was a growling mess. Neither of them could, for the life of me, get their act together.
I’m frustrated that the FMC never really tried to escape—first from her father’s family’s control, and then from her husband’s. She was just so weak. It was pathetic!
Then there was the part where the FMC returned to the States after the MMC sent her away upon discovering she didn’t want her family to come to India. Why was there a chunk missing? I wanted to know how she reunited with her family, and later, why she decided to go back to India.
Having two of my favourite authors written the story I was really excited about the first book in the series and it stood by my expectations. It was thrilling and exciting from the beginning to end. It made me angsty to know what's gonna happen next and also to know what happened in the past. Abhay and Anika are one of my favourite book couples.. they are meant to be with each other, their characters balance and complete each other like Ying and Yang. A silent alpha hero who is worshipped with forced marriage and the hidden history which lead to everything is a perfect concoction for a great read. Would not want to reveal any of the story but would suggest to read. Loved the read.😁👍
PG and M.V.Kasi have written this book in a really good way . Reading this book reminds me Southern side movies . Hottie Abhay Shingham has won my heart . Not only that Anika 's character made me feel like she was all made for him . Despite the family war ,their love blossoms like a pink lotus in a dirty pond its amazing to read it . Thank you ladies for the wonderful piece of fiction work which you have given the world. Bound by Revenge is very interesting yet gut wrenching tale of two powerful families.
This is the first book I have read by the author(s) and I thoroughly loved it. A true page-turner. I don't know if it was because I belong to the state where the story is based but I could actually visualise the scenes unfolding in front of my eyes. I loved the way Anika Patel became Anika Singham. The progress / the change in her thought process was shown beautifully. I never could appreciate or connect with meek / shy females. Anika suited me to a T. A perfect match for Abhay. Sabitha captured my interest in this one so now I am off to read her story. Bound by Hatred.
The story is gripping. The 3/4 part of the book keeps you hooked. But somewhere after that I found that story became less intense. Some part like neelabari and all were just left off with her walking out. Maybe it will be shown more in next book...but still. There were some portion were a bit more of Dev and Ahina could have been shown. Something was missing .... I am not able to pin point it. Please take this as constructive feedback. I absolutely loved the story and will read the whole series.
What Singham is one hero with whom you will definitely fall in love. One of the most beautiful quality of this book is it's characterization and portrayal of the hero and the heroine. Action oriented, fast paced -this story will grip you from page one. Pg Van's most important quality as an author is the way she portrays the action sequence. The love scenes are fabulously written and it's this boldness of the author that the romance readers will love.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. I just loved Abhay’s strong character. He appeared to be so stoic & impassive but there was a subtle warmth & compassion to his character. I loved the way author has weaved the story. Difficult to drop the book before completing the same. I liked the theme around which story revolves. The fued between three powerful families with twist & turns. I have read the other stories also from this series & loved all of them. 5 star to the author.
“Because without you… it feels as though I’m not living. I’m simply surviving. I need my life back.”
I loved and adored it so much. The chemistry between Anika and Abhay was so amazing.

This is probably my 5 fifth book by the author...ever since I read the land of singoor series I've become a fan of the authors and they delivered again. Love the dynamics and understanding between the leads...I love when the characters are mature and then there's this older brother syndrome that just makes me drool over the MMC. Over all the plot building and the mysteries revolving around along with the cute lovie dovie moments between the main characters makes this a 5 star read for me
This book is the read of my year. Despite having read tons of romance thrillers right from childhood, this book got me hooked. The compelling narrative, character development and the sizzling chemistry between the protagonists left me wanting for me. I would recommend this book to all kinds of readers. I applaud both the authors for bringing this trilogy for our delight.
The writing was terrible and so stilted. It also switched pretenses constantly. It made the story really confusing and the dialogue somewhat childish. The hero was also called “the man” instead of his name, which I found super irritating. I think it was meant to be mysterious, but it was just weird.
Honestly I didn’t like this one. There was no chemistry and I couldn’t care less about the main characters. I was expecting sm more from this book but it just didn’t give what I wanted it to ☹️ I would give it one star only but I feel bad cause there’s not much desi rep out there n I was getting huge padayappa vibes ifykyk
I am looking forward to continuing this story. Though there were some minor editing issues it was really enjoyable to read about a different culture. I always enjoy hearing how similar American culture is to the rest of the world. Everyone protects their family!
Wow...what a book...Being a Andhraite factionism is what I grew up seeing in movies....there mass, there is class. there is love, there is lust, there is responsibility, there is struggle, there is belongingness and there is forgiveness....overall a pakka entertainment packed book....
