Scouting Uncovered: A Look Inside The Great American Past Time

Rate this book
Scouting Uncovered is not an expose on baseball scouting and it is probably not the definitive work on the subject either. Scouting Uncovered tells one scout’s story.

From the heart of the Midwest to make-shift fields in the Mekong Delta, to the inner circles of Major League Baseball, Scouting Uncovered tells the story of one scout's experiences in the Great American Past Time.

Learn about the lost art of the "Old School" scout, armed with nothing more than a stop watch and a well trained eye, they shaped the history of the game and influenced the future in Major League Baseball.

Joe did a great job of telling a story with many sub-stories that all tie together. He explains what a scout thinks about and looks for when scoping out potential players. He also confronts many life lessons and how they have affected him and his family. Nothing is sugar coated, it's all very blunt. That's Joe's style.
