Dreamweaver Trail: An Eternity Springs Novel

Rate this book
After another lonely Valentine’s Day, Gabi Romano trades mountain snowfall for sunshine and sand at a luxurious Caribbean getaway. There she finds not one but two thrilling new passions: creating art glass, and Flynn Brogan, the sexy caretaker next door who brings her fantasies to life. But when violence interrupts their romantic interlude, she learns that Flynn is living a lie. Heartsick, she decides to concentrate on her craft. Playing with fire is safer than loving a man like Flynn.

Flynn is determined to make things right with Gabi—until his enemies interfere. Now damaged and driven by a need he cannot define, he seeks out Gabi’s Colorado community as a mystery man searching for peace, though not expecting redemption. But he never imagined a place like Eternity Springs, where lives are changed, second chances are given, and the possibility exists for two wounded souls to find their way home . . . to each other.

I did enjoy this book. I have had a review copy of this book for years and finally decided to give it a try recently. I did read another book in the series a little more than a year before and had mixed results so I was a little hesitant with this one. Thankfully, I had much better luck with this book, and am glad that I gave this series a second try.

Gabi is looking for a change and takes a job taking care of a puppy in a tropical paradise. Flynn is trying to get away from everything as well and his escape happens to be next door to Gabi. I really liked these two together. I thought that they had wonderful chemistry and thought that they were just perfect for each other. I thought it was pretty obvious that they really cared for each other. They do have a lot of obstacles that they need to overcome during this story. There was a lot more excitement in the story than I expected going in. Both Flynn and Gabi go through a lot during this story and my heart really went out to both of them.

I thought that the narration of this story was very well done. I feel like Amy Landon did a great job adding a lot of emotion to the story and some excitement when necessary. I had no problem listening to her narration for hours at a time and believe that her narration added to my enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this story to others. I thought that was a very well done and exciting story filled with some wonderful characters. I would read more of this author's work in the future.

I received a digital review copy of this book from Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine Books via NetGalley and purchased a copy of the audiobook.

Initial Thoughts
I did enjoy this book. I have had a digital review copy of this book for years but it somehow got lost in my tbr pile. I did read another book from this series and had mixed feelings about it so I was a little hesitant to jump into this book but it turns out that I had much better luck with this installment. This book is a part of a series but it works perfectly fine as a stand-alone story. I liked Gabi and Flynn and thought that they had a pretty interesting story to tell. I thought that they worked really well as a couple and I enjoyed seeing how hard they worked to be together. I also enjoyed what the dog, Bismark brought to the story and wish that we had seen more of him in the book especially during the second half of the story. The narration of the audiobook was very well done and added to my enjoyment of the story.

I received an advanced readers copy of this book from Random House Publishing Group- Ballentine Books in exchange for an honest review. The expected publication date is May 27, 2014. Thank You!

Dreamweaver Trail is the 8th book in the Eternity Springs series that tells the story of the different characters living there. I did not have the opportunity to read any of the previous books but I was able to read this as a stand alone. March gives enough details within the book to understand the history behind all of the key players in the story.

This book was a little busy for my liking. It starts with Gabi being in limbo over her career and ex to dog sitting in the Caribbean to finding a passion for glass and then for Flynn. then fighting pirates to landing back in Eternity Springs and then jet setting across the globe to fulfill her passion for glass. With Flynn there is a dark past with a murder trial, a successful business, Gabi, pirates and beach side events that leave him shattered and broken to landing in Eternity Springs. If these sentences seem a little long winded and confusing then it totally explains how I felt as the reader. It was almost too much to be believable or to take in. With there being so many stories within the story I felt that a bit of the chemistry and romance was lost to me. I wanted to believe in Gabi and Flynn and route for them but I found myself constantly thinking "what next?"

I did enjoy the description and feel of Eternity Springs and the comradry between the people that lived there. March made it sound like an incredibly magical and beautiful place to be. Also the story gained more appeal once all of the characters were there. At this point I could feel the chemistry a little bit more but still not to the point that I desired.

Although I didn't love the book I didn't hate it either. I am curious about the other books now and the stories behind the other residents of Eternity Springs.

Original read May 2014, ARC REVIEW
Eternity Springs book 8 by Emily March is Dreamweaver Trail. My first in the series I was worried I would be lost but fret not it was so easy to get into, I instantly fell in love with Gabi and her family. A heart wrenching story about love over coming obstacles and proving that love shall prevail.

Gabi is feeling lonely with everyone around her married and happy and expecting babies, she needs a break from her family as much as she loves them she needs time to herself she needs to find something that ignites her passion and gives her something to look forward to everyday, she finds a pet sitting job for a Newfoundland puppy in a little island in the Caribbean. Gabi loves the little island and the little newfie puppy, Bismarck, as soon as she figures out how to handle him. Most of all she finds something that sparks that interest that passion in her that makes her feel that it is something she could all her life, glass blowing.

Flynn Brogan is running from his life and starting a new one. Being blamed for his estranged wife's murder but acquitted by the judge, Flynn legally changed his name and moved to a remote estate in the Caribbean he just happened to be next door to the sexy curvy dark-haired beauty, Gabi. Trying to heal and rebuild his life he never expected to fall in love with Gabi and Bismarck. Both deciding to move slowly they build up a wonderful friendship over the next couple of weeks. But one bad turn after they end up in bed together and they are invaded by pirates, the puppy Bismarck goes missing and Flynn's true identity come out. Flynn is now certain that Gabi will hate him. But still he doesn't give up looking for Bismarck. Unfortunately the events that follow are not pretty.

Gabi is flown home after the owners of Bismarck fire her, and at home she is as despondent now then when she left. The birth of a nephew brings good tidings and bad, Gabi's mother breaks her foot and Gabi must fill in for her at the B&B but she gets word that Bismarck is finally found. Some time passes and Gabi is visited by her mentor, Cicero, and given the opportunity of a live time to learn glass blowing from one of the masters in Italy. She jumps at the chance to spend time learning in Italy and then set up shop with her mentor in her hometown.

Flynn in the meantime is slowly healing, he found Bismarck on a bird sanctuary island but he wasn't alone the father, a man in a high Mexican political position, of one of the pirates was out for revenge against Flynn. Luckily Bismarck is a very protective dog and helped save Flynn from death. Flynn however is badly scared and almost blind in one eye. Knowing the Eternity Springs is a magical place that helps heal both body and mind he moves to an isolated cabin on the outskirts of town. Flynn planned it with Cicero so he would be in town when Gabi isn't there, he never expected Gabi to come home early for Christmas or that a stray wolf would attack and Bismarck would get injured.

Thrown together again Flynn is determined to keep Gabi away but Gabi has other plans and no matter what he says Gabi isn't giving up on him. A touching and heart felt story that has you falling in love with the characters as they fall in love with each other.

SECOND READ AUGUST 2015 :Personal copy
Well I did not cry as much this time as I did the first time around. I still love the story. I was able to appreciate all the little things I miss not having read the first seven books. My heart still beat faster the first time Gabi watched Cicero work. It was so well written that it makes me want to learn how to work glass. I still think Flynn is one of the best.

I really enjoyed this book! Ms March delivers yet another wonderfully emotional, heartwarming story from Eternity Springs.
FYI...I've only read a few of Ms March's books but I've yet to find what I call a typical romance. Her books are SO much more!! If you enjoy a lovely, emotional read than I'm sure you'll love this book. This isn't one of those "meet for the first time, fall in love, break up, get back together, find HEA in one week" books. Her stories are more drawn out than that and to me, they seem more realistic that way. I loved it and can't wait to see what comes next!!!

This book is the story of Gabi Romano and Flynn Brogan. Gabi has left the police force and is at loose ends. She takes a job as a pet sitter for a couple that live on an island in the Caribbean. While there she meets Flynn who is at loose ends and has a secret. Gabi & Flynn begin seeing one another and while out sailing are attacked by pirates. Both survive after killing the pirates but loose the dog that Gabi was watching. Gabi returns home but has no contact with Flynn after learning part of his secret. Months pass and there is a new person in Eternity Springs - a man with a dog who wants no contact with anyone. Of course it is Flynn and on Christmas Eve he and Gabi see one another. The book was a quick easy read.

What an incredibly difficult journey our two main characters had to separately take before eventually coming together. I'm so glad that we were spared some of the intricate details. My imagination did enough. Wonderful read. Great series.

This is the 8th book of a series I’d never heard about. Obviously, I haven’t read the others, not that it matters any, since it’s easy to read as a stand-alone. But it does make you want to read the others, to find out more about this amazing, healing place called Eternity Springs.

This is not the best book I’ve ever read, and it’s certainly not the worst. I guess it’s somewhere in the middle, and that’s what makes it so hard to review, because there were things that I liked, and there were things that I equally disliked – or that I wish had been different.

By God, this one is hard to review. I’d love nothing more than sing its praise, but something just won’t let me…

The plot in itself, wasn’t something all that new: girl arrives on dream island, meets millionaire (with a dose of mistaken identity, of course), falls in love, stuff happens, they break up, he moves to her hometown, they meet again, they rekindle the flame, the end. Obviously, that’s not all there is to it: Gabby, fortunately, finds the passion she’d been looking for (the scene was absolutely amazing), they’re attacked by pirates, Flynn kills two of the pirates then gets tortured as payback for it, leaving him heavily scarred both physically and emotionally.

Gabriella Romano – ex-cop, gave up the badge after killing a woman who was threatening to kill her brother. A good woman, opinionated, self-sufficient, looking for a life that she’s passionate about (I absolutely loved that about her – this quest for passion. Not many people do that nowadays)
Flynn – a man with a dark past. Accused of murdering his wife Lisa in the middle of their divorce, but sentenced not guilty at the trial.
They have a lot in common – recently having lost someone close to them, both having been cheated on, both at the right place and at the right time for a new beginning.

Like I said before, we’re not inventing the wheel here, but every once in a while, there’s this little spark of…something. Something that makes me keep reading.

I really liked Gabby – she’s stubborn, confident, a good person, but not a goody-two-shoes, and definitely not a wallflower waiting for a knight in shining armour. No sir, if she wants something, she’ll go ahead and get it! Unfazed by what anyone else says, she just keeps doing her own thing, and if she sets her mind on something, you’d better get out of the way. My kind of gal.

I equally liked Flynn – he’s also a nice guy, betrayed by his best friend and his wife, abandoned by his father and caught in a bad situation that was not his doing. And to top it all off, someone goes and tortures him. My heart really went out to him throughout the book.

But what I liked best about this book was the author. Really. From the way this book is written, she seems like a person with a wicked sense of humour (look out for Homer!), and it really shines through.

What I missed from this book…even though it’s part of a series, I would have liked to see a closure to the Gabby-Cheryl relationship, besides Gabby saying she forgave her. The whole fiancé-bff story was enough to make me curious, but then there was nothing more about it.
Likewise, I would have liked some closure on Flynn’s relationship with his father. As opposed to Gabby, who’s got a big, tight knit family, Flynn’s only got his father, and I would have liked to see him proven innocent in front of the world, and then reunited with his father.

Deliciously sexy, yet heartwarming, this story is a must read for lovers of contemporary romance! Taken from my review at RomanceJunkies.com:

Attending her brother’s wedding on Valentine’s Day, Gabrielle “Gabi” Romano has never felt so lonely. She left her job as a deputy for the sheriff, who is also her brother, after killing a man in the line of duty. Although she saved her brother’s life in the process, she still cannot get over taking a man’s life. She does not want to risk this happening again so she refuses to work at a job where she has to wear a gun. Needing a change of scenery, Gabi accepts a job dog-sitting and housesitting on Bella Vita Isle. All she wants is some passion in her life. On the island, she finds two; creating art glass and the caretaker next door named Flynn.

Flynn Seagraves is known to the public as the GQ Killer for killing his wife, although he was acquitted in court. He changes his last name to Brogan, sells his business and purchases a home on Bella Vita Isle. When the beautiful young woman next door stumbles into his yard chasing her dog, he is leery, believing she may be a member of the paparazzi, but he cannot deny his attraction to her. Taking Gabi out on his new yacht, things quickly turn heated before they encounter violence. After discovering that Flynn has been living a lie, while she is aware that the dog she is pet-sitting might possibly be dead, Gabi returns home, determined to concentrate on her glass work.

Meanwhile, the violence is not over for Flynn and having heard of the healing qualities of Eternity Springs, Flynn, damaged and driven, holes up in the mountains there with his dog, Bismarck. He is determined not to see her, but Gabi is not about to let him go so easily and starts her own campaign to break down his walls and claim him for her own. Will she succeed, or is she bound for heartache?

To anyone who has not read one of author Emily March’s ETERNITY SPRINGS stories, you do not know what you are missing. These tales are deliciously sexy and yet heartwarming. DREAMWEAVER TRAIL, the eighth book in this delectable series, is no exception. Part of the story takes place outside of Eternity Springs and overall, the novel covers a huge period of time, but this does not detract from the story in any way. This latest addition will leave readers longing to live in a town like this one. The healing quality of the town and the assistance rendered by the town angel, Celeste Bradley, gives the story a mystical feel. The characters are so true-to-life and their interactions so heartfelt that you cannot help but root for them while the dog, Bismarck, plays an outstanding role in this book. I have enjoyed every one of these stories and just as I think that Ms. March cannot surpass her last novel, she proves me wrong. If you are looking for a terrific story that will make you laugh, perhaps cry and leave you feeling good, DREAMWEAVER TRAIL is the book for you!

Gabi Romano has left her job at the sheriff's office after a shooting. She is trying to get her life back on track. She could not do that again. Since then she has been helping her mother turn a dilapidated old house into the Aspenglow Place Bed and Breakfast. Deciding that she doesn't want to be an innkeeper, she declares that she "needs a job".

Gabi had previously worked for a couple dog-sitting and liked it. So, she got on the phone and placed a call to them. They didn't need her this time, but they had friends who might be in need of a dog-sitter. She did get a call and within the next 48 hours she was on a plane headed for Bella Vita Island in the Caribbean to puppy-sit a 4 month old Newfoundland puppy. Bismarck.

The puppy is true to form as a puppy and likes to run and play and runs from Gabi to the estate next door. Gabi catches up with the pup and discovers a handsome hunk cleaning the pool. Thinking he is the pool guy, she doesn't know that he owns the property. Flynn Brogan, ooh la la!

She and Flynn develop a relationship and Gabi finds solace also in a glass factory where she falls in love with the idea of blowing glass and making beautiful objects. Flynn watches the pup, Bismarck, while Gabi pursues her new hobby. They make beautiful music together, she still not knowing he is very rich.

Sailing on his boat is so romantic and their relationship goes on to the next phase. While sailing in the Caribbean they are attacked by pirates and fight for their lives. They do subdue and kill the pirates. Calling the Coast Guard to come they discover that their have been pirates about without any warnings placed to the public as to this. Flynn is very irate. Gabi was almost raped by 2 of the pirates, but Flynn and she got the better of them. Only thing is Bismarck is now missing. Fearing he was drowned by the pirates or thrown overboard, Gabi is beside herself as she is responsible for him. Flynn swears he will find him. He alerts his friends and the Coast Guard to look for him and not give up. Flynn won't give up.

Gabi finds out during this time that Flynn did not tell her about his real name, Flynn Seagraves, who was involved in the death of his wife. He claimed innocence. She didn't want anything to do with him right now.

So much more happens as to finding Bismarck (?) and having to leave the island after the owners of the pup fired her. Back home to what?

Read this great story to find out if Flynn and Gabi get back together. Does Flynn find Bismarck?

I won this book through the Goodreads Giveaway and you will find it a great book. Thanks Goodreads and Emily March.

I am so glad to finally see Gabi Romano get her happy ever after. Gabi has had a rough time after joining the Destiny Springs PD and having to shoot and kill someone in the line of duty. When the story opens, she has been drifting, helping her mom at the Inn, house sitting, basically trying to find her niche. When she takes a job house sitting on a tropical island, she meets the one man who understands her life all too well. Flynn Brogan has lived a nightmare, having been falsely accused of his wife's murder, losing his friends and family, and being hounded by paparazzi. Gabi doesn't know about this facet of his life as he keeps it from her.

A horrible attack and resulting deaths, along with the truth of Flynn's history causes Gabi to flee the island and return home. Flynn's very existence is threatened when his tortures go from mental to physical and his life is totally changed. He ends up in Destiny Springs looking for some of it's vaunted healing nature and maybe, deep in his heart, a chance to find a way back to Gabi.

I enjoyed this book because Gabi and Flynn are such interesting characters, both scarred by love and searching for a new beginning. Just when they find some peace with each other, life intervenes and they are torn apart. I appreciated that they both had to trust their feelings and really want to make the relationship work the second time around. Flynn is always hiding who he is and doesn't get what he wants until he can open up to Gabi. Gabi needs to trust in her feelings and go for the prize wholeheartedly.

As in all series, it is fun to see what is going on with the other characters and meeting new ones. There is an excerpt from the next book in the series and it looks like another winner in what has been an excellent series to read. When I got ready to read Dreamweaver Trail, I went back and re-read the entire series and enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

This series keeps getting better and better.

Dreamweaver trail is Gabriella Romano and Flynn Brogan’s story. Gabi is the sister of Zack, Lucca, Tony, and Max. She’s stubborn, feisty, full of love and at a crossroads in her life. She didn’t regret saving Zack’s life but she did realize she was done being a cop. She found her passion in more ways than one on Bella Vista Isle. Flynn is a good looking wealthy inventor who was recently involved in a scandal. He decided to take refuge on Bella Vista Isle and assume a new identity.

Gabi and Flynn were equally gun shy when it came to relationships. Both had trust issues because of what happened with people they were in relationships with. However they couldn’t deny the attraction they had for one another. But circumstances occurred and Gabi went back to Eternity Springs while Flynn stayed on the island.

I can’t begin to describe what happened to Flynn. A lesser man would have been broken and would have given up on life. However, Eternity Springs and Gabi’s unwavering love helped heal him.

Once again, Geralyn has introduced her readers to characters you end up caring about. The mentally, emotionally, and physically damaged hero allowing himself to be loved by a tough and dynamic heroine. And with that love, healing, peace and happiness comes next.

ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! What an incredible story from Emily March. I've read her entire series and this is, by far, the very best one yet! I had to read this in one sitting because I couldn't stand to step away. I don't know how she keeps getting better but she does. Picking up an Emily March book is like picking up a promise. A promise that your heart will be touched deeply by a story of amazing depth and yet lightened by a wonderful visit with characters that you have come to love and enjoy seeing again and again.
The book was a journey through the darkest parts of a man's soul and into the light that awaits him when he learns that being vulnerable takes the most courage of all. It was also the story of the strong, yet feminine, woman that refused to give in to those shadows while facing her own questions about life.
I raced to the end of this book simultaneously excited to get to the happily ever after and sad that it meant that the book was over.
Luckily, Emily March always leaves us excitingly looking forward to our next trip to Eternity Springs.
I can't say enough of about this book or series.
It's a must read for anyone who needs a meaningful and deep look into love, life, happiness, challenge and what it means to be family and friends.
If only we were all blessed enough to have a Celeste in our lives!

This story seemed pretty standard to begin with and then PIRATES struck and everything changed. I swear, this series just keeps getting better and better. I'll admit this book had more sex scenes than I'd like, but the tension between the characters and their internal struggles were perfect. Excited to read Cicero's story! He should make a nice change from all the stereotypically macho heroes in Eternity Springs. 4.5*

THIS SUMMARY/REVIEW WAS COPIED FROM OTHER SOURCES AND IS USED ONLY AS A REMINDER OF WHAT THE BOOK WAS ABOUT FOR MY PERSONAL INTEREST. ANY PERSONAL NOTATIONS ARE FOR MY RECOLLECTION ONLY

Totally agree w/this reviewer. This is not one of my favorites, maybe because I am not into pirates, etc

This book was a little busy for my liking.
**

Flynn Brogan is a man trying to start a new life, a private life, out from under the intense pain and publicly humiliating scrutiny of his past. He divests himself of nearly everything that connects him to his old life, and escapes to a tropical island to take stock of his future - and take refuge from the relentless paparazzi. There he meets Gabriella Romano, a beautiful, courageous, charismatic woman who has come to the same island in search of meaning - to find the passion she lost after a traumatic event in Eternity Springs.

The chemistry is initially wary, but ultimately overpowering and they fall under each other's spell. Their passion is palpable. They are truly living the dream ... until ... it all falls apart in the worst possible way. In a heartbeat, they are thrust into a violent confrontation that will change them both. And it only gets worse before it gets better.

Fortunately, they end up -- separately -- in Eternity Springs, hiding from what happened and hiding from each other. Lost, confused, hurting, and yearning for the dream they shared oh-so-briefly, the healing power of Eternity Springs works its magic. It's a tough road - Flynn has been badly damaged, nearly beyond repair. Only the strength of a woman with a warrior's heart can tear down the walls and allow him to truly live again.

#8 in the Eternity Springs chick lit/romance series

This, I think, is my favorite in this series so far. Gabi is a strong character--a former cop, part of a very close family, kind and loving. Flynn, on the other hand, is kind of a mysterious character since we don't know a lot about the reasoning behind his actions until further along in the story. They make a powerful couple, and I liked the chemistry between them. They are similar people in that they have strong emotions, but still have reservations and doubts about their feelings. When Gabi feels lost without her job and a new passion, she takes a temp job as dog sitter for the rich and famous, living on a tropical island for a while. There she accidentally meets Flynn. They hit it off, of course, but both are taking it slow, bonding over Bismarck the puppy. There is lots of exciting action, a backstory about a murder, reliving Gabi's traumatic experience from a previous book, as well as a painful interaction with modern-day pirates. The whole book captured my attention and kept moving forward quickly. While on the island, Gabi discovers her passion for glassblowing. This was a fascinating subject, with just enough information about it to provide some interest but not too much to be boring. We heard a bit of the usual advice by Celeste Blessing, but it was minimal this time and much more matter of fact rather than sickeningly sweet. Very well narrated by Amy Landon, as usual, and I look forward to continuing with this always-enjoyable series.

So I guess I’m the exception because I found this book just OK. Perhaps I would have liked it better if I’d read the series’ previous books first, but I don’t think so. I really enjoyed the first part of the book but it went down after the pirate attack.

I liked the chemistry between Gabi and Flynn so it didn’t make sense that Gabi would not try to contact Flynn and at least see 1) how he is doing after the pirate attack and 2) if Bismarck (the dog) had been found.

The guilt the two suffered after killing the pirates makes no sense to me. It was either kill or be killed so why would you feel guilty?

The reason for the torture scene made no sense to me either. The villain is getting revenge for Flynn killing his son in self-defence? I don’t think it added to the plot since Gabi was nowhere to be seen during Flynn’s recover. And if these men were so psycho as to torture Flynn, why would they leave the dog alive after catching Flynn?

If the torture was to get Flynn to go to Eternity Springs, the author could have had him move there, beard and all, to get away from the paparazzi.

Bismarck was an awesome, heroic dog. His initial owners were awful people.
He got hurt twice which I think is too much in one book.

The Epilogue wasn’t much of one to my way of thinking. Flynn is not cleared of his wife’s murder and is still estranged from his father. Is his inventing back on track? Where is Gabi going to continue her glass blowing instructions? I don’t like lose ends.

The Eternity Springs series is all about second chances and healing. This one is Gabi's turn to find herself and her mate.

After leaving the sheriff's department, Gabi has been trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. With most of her friends all happily married (2 with her brothers), she feels left out and decides to leave town for a while, taking a gig of babysitting a Newfoundland puppy on a Caribbean island, Bella Vita Isle, for 4 months, while his owner's were away. While chasing the pup, she meets the next door neighbor, Flynn Brogan, who she mistakes for the pool boy. They slowly forge a friendship, sharing a common past of betrayal, she by her fiancee and best friend and he by his wife and best friend and business partner. She has a large family and he is alone. What he doesn't tell her, is that he is infamous and legally changed his name after be falsely accused of murdering his wife. He was acquitted, but most of the world believes he got away with murder. On the island, Gabi also discovers her passion, creating art glass. But there is also evil in paradise and while sailing his new boat, they are attacked by pirates. This book has it all, romance, pirates, a dog, pain, healing and love. As always, a beautiful read with a HEA, and a lead in to the next book.

After my previous book that could only be described as a sleepy Hallmark movie in text form, the twists and turns of this romance caught me refreshingly off guard. It struck from suspense to starry-eyed wonder. This is a romance that comes with some spice, and not just the steamy kind. Sometimes, opening your mouth to speak is the hardest thing in the world, and other times we have to buckle down our efforts for the ones we love.

My biggest criticism is that I could have lifted a chapter or two on family events out of the story. I'm here for the romance, not so much the backstory of minor characters. Nevertheless, I can't fault the story for this content because it brought a depth and warmth. I appreciate the detail. The story does not insult my intelligence and allows me to draw my own conclusions, offering bits and pieces of what happened at a time.

The insecure parts of me that my spouse works so hard to bring forward cries out when I read this book. Beautifully woven, showing just enough to tempt us without giving the whole thing away, it is deserving of a full five stars.

After another lonely Valentine’s Day, Gabi Romano trades mountain snowfall for sunshine and sand at a luxurious Caribbean getaway. There she discovers a hidden talent for creating fine art glass. She also meets Flynn Brogan, the sexy caretaker next door who brings her fantasies to life. But when violence interrupts their romantic interlude, she learns that Flynn is living a lie. Heartsick, she decides to concentrate on her craft. Playing with fire is safer than loving a man like Flynn.

Flynn is determined to make things right with Gabi—until his enemies interfere. Now damaged and driven by a need he cannot define, he seeks out Gabi’s Colorado community, hoping for reconciliation and some peace. But he never imagined a place like Eternity Springs, where lives are changed, second chances are given, and the possibility exists for two wounded souls to find their way home . . . to each other

I really enjoy these books about Eternity Springs and, of course, this was no exception. Gabi Romano felt lost and drifting after she quit her job as Deputy Sheriff with her brother Zach. She wanted to find her passion and she started a journey where she not only found her passion but her true love, he just didn’t know it yet. Her journey lead her to the Caribbean and face to face with dangers that she could only imagine but she also found Flynn Brogan who was hiding from the public and the tabloids. These two fought the enemy, side by side, until his lies about his past came to light and she went back to Eternity Springs. She had told him about the healing waters and the glorious mountains but he needed to see for himself if he could be healed. There are so many twist and turns in this story that will keep you reading. Great story.

Gabi Romano doesn't know what she wants to do with her life after leaving the Sheriff's Department in Eternity Springs. She gets a dog sitting gig on the Caribbean Isle of Bella Vita where she's introduced to glass blower Cicero and her neighbor Flynn. She falls in love with both the art of glass blowing and Flynn. Flynn isn't completely honest with her about his past, and it comes back to haunt him when they're attacked by pirates while taking his new yacht on her maiden voyage. Gabi retreats to Eternity Springs and then Venice. Flynn meanwhile, is severely injured in retribution for killing one of the pirates, spends months recuperating, and eventually seeks out the healing promised by Eternity Springs. Christmas brings Gabi home, and the two finally connect.

Hard to read about Flynn's injuries, but another good story in the series.

Very dark story in the series, putting it into the romantic suspense category. Gabi Romano is searching for her passion, and in the meantime, is dog sitting for a couple at their Caribbean house. Next door, Flynn Brogan is trying to start a new life, when the neighbor's dog, Bismark, runs over, followed by Gabi. Thinking she is a paparazzi, he initially rebufs her, but finds that she is looking for more in life. But violence separates them, and both end up back in Eternity Springs, far different people than who they were on the island.

A bit harsh for me. Gabi's story. Gabi hires herself as a pet caretaker to the rich. While taking care of a pup, she and a romantic interest in the caribbean are attacked by pirates, forcing Gabi to kill again to protect herself and Flynn to kill too. While looking for the dog who got kicked overboard while saving Gabi, Flynn is captured and tortured. Both return to Eternity Springs for healing.

However, I did like the ending and the dog so maybe a 3.5.

Babi Romano and Flynn Brogan’s story is told in this book.
Gabi decides to forgo the Colorado winter snow for a vacation in a beautiful Caribbean getaway as she takes a pet-setting job there. While there she also finds her new passion: creating art glass. She also meets her next door neighbor, Flynn where their story begins and he follows her back to Eternity Springs where their story ends. Read on to immerse yourself in the story.

Wow this is an amazing story of survival and endurance. Gabi is looking for a change from being a cop. She ends up on a tropical island puppy sitting and finds her passion in more ways than one. Flynn is just trying to recover from a high detrimental public trial. Then pirates happen and more trauma than Flynn bargains for. The usual characters from the series are spotlighted through out the story.
