Another book from the series by Glennie Kindred, this one looking into the old Celtic ceremonies and festivals throughout the year, their significance to the natural cycle and to our spirituality.

It was interesting reading up on the old traditions and celebrations, especially how they tie in to my knowledge of Christian traditions and holidays – it has become clearer the older I get and the more I look into these things that it is all the same, but with different names and slightly different reasons! The pagan traditions are all about the circle of life, birth, death and rebirth. The festivals celebrate these throughout the year, linking to human life, and the idea of our birth, death and rebirth.

An interesting book, full of lovely illustrations that are a joy to look at. Definitely one for anyone interested in Celtic/Pagan religion and spirituality.
