Only the fearless survive in the white-hot world of street racing, as teams take on dangerous roads in the shadow of Akina Mountain. Behind the wheel of the mysterious "Ghost of Akina" is Takumi, on his way to becoming the greatest racer ever.

Ry vs Tak and Cole getting a racing love interest that ends as quickly as it started. The relationship was a little immature with miscommunication and a bad reaction to the truth. The story is picking up now with different locations and not just Mt Akina.

We say goodbye to Mt. Akina which is great. 5 volumes of the same track got really annoying. I like that we’re getting female racers as the next opponent and a new track but the writing for them has been bad. They’re very solid racers but the one behind the wheel is oblivious and knows nothing about cars, the comments towards them is horrible. Really bad language that hasn’t aged well. I do like the new romance made here but I don’t buy that it’s as simple as that. We also get the question asked if Tak is only good cause of the track he’s in so we’ll get the answer to that soon.

OMG! The cheesy lines at the water park had me laughing out loud. The dialog could use some punching up…
AND! Come to find out, I’m flipping yellowed pages of musty, old Tokyo Pop manga from a second hand store when I could be reading a new translation on big, bold, crisp, white pages with Kodansha’s new omnibus releases. Unfortunately, my local library only has volumes two and three, so I’ll need to have the local indy bookstore get the others. Hopefully, the library will take them as donations as I have no more shelf space.
this book is about tak. he lives in the world of street racing, and races in akina mountain. he gains his reputation by beating everyone in the mountain, trying to achieve his goal in street racing. i would connect this book to text to world. because many people try to gain rep by doing whatever it takes. like tak with racing. such as fighting, wrestling, sports. etc. i would give this book 5 stars because it shows racing which is a book i love in this kind of topic, also it is a graphic novel another favorite. mainly there is always racing in this series which gets me more attached to the book.
In this Volume it is the beginning of the Duct tape death match. the duct tape death match is is when two race have one hand duct taped to the steering wheel and the other hand is free to use the gear shift. the person that made the duct tape death match is Shingo Shoji and he is part of the Mygoi Night Kids race team.
I am suprised that Tak can beat RY because RY is so good hope Tak can beat other racer in other location with no problem since he is a good racer and he has fast thinking and that help him with racing
