This tells the story of Dracula with scary Pop-ups and graphic novel panels on either side of the pop-up. The panels open on the sides like a mini book with several pages. It has several flaps per page and some have their own pop-ups. This is another work of Art. It’s amazing and it’s for older kids who don’t scare easily. The artwork is so detailed and using the graphic novel format to tell the story is really neat how that worked. I mean this was cool.

Very dark and scary. Monsters are jumping out at you literally! This was another Library of Congress find in the children’s reading room. I was Lucky that day. It was simply sitting on the self of Pop-ups. I wish I could spend more time in that room finding books like this. As soon as this trimester is over I am going to plan a visit back to the Library of Congress.

This was very awesome. It really was a dark work of art.

I think I would have enjoyed this more if I had read the novel first, because then I would have had a deeper understanding of the story and characters and world and such.

Still, on it's own this pop tale is easy enough to follow. It's a cool story. Just wish I'd had more details. :/

A solid 3.5 stars

That being said, the book itself is absolutely gorgeous. :) I haven't read a pop up book in years and I'm so glad my friend lent this to me. Full color, comic book style picture and complex, amazingly detailed pop up images. The castle was stunning. Very creepy, detailed artwork.

A very fast, very fun read. I would definitely recommend this to fans of the classic story. I'll have to get around to reading it one of these days. :)

To die for!

Sorry . . . had to say that. This is a very cool pop-up, and an excellent graphic novel as well. Not for those who haven't read the real book before, though. The story is quite abbreviated, and would be hard to follow if you didn't know what was happening from previous experience! I particularly love the very large wolf that leaps out at you!

A very unique version of a classic! I was amazed at the high quality of this book, especially since I got it on clearance for $6. A must-have for collectors.

To sum the whole thing up...short and to the point. It was only 32 pages long, only so much material (if any at all with Dracula) you can cover with that many pages. I sort of feel like this thing was written for very young children.

Illustrative quality is decent. Some of the storytelling is confusing. Panel layouts which Scott Mcloud points out as No-No's in Making Comics.

The key points in the novel...the memorable ones...are the ones that are presented. I feel that the greatest crime in this adaptation is that at the end the Count is killed with a wooden stake.

I feel like they wanted to make this book longer but it was cut very very short which is sad.

I still prefer Dick Giordano's version and Staz Johnson's version.
