Matty Doolin

Matty is fifteen and is leaving school in a few weeks' time. He wants to work with animals, and would like to get a job on a farm. But his parents say he's too young to leave home - he must stay in the town and get a job in ship-building, like his father. They also say he can't go on a camping holiday with his friends. And they say he can't keep his dog, Nelson, because Nelson barks all day and eats his father's shoes. But it is because of Nelson that Matty finds a new life . . .

4 a. A boy, Matty who is fifteen-year-old, had a dog,Nelson and he took care the dog. He loves animals, so he wants to work with animals in the future. Also he wants to work at a farm so he wanted to quite school and go to work, but his father didn't permit about it. One day, his father killed Nelson so Matty was disappointed him, so he decided to leave his home and go to camping with his friends. Camping has a little problem that they have to do everything by himself. He is only fifteen years old, so he needs to help his parents and he knows thankfulness from parents.
4 b. His father allowed him to work on a farm, so he tried it. Then, I like the sentence that "He worked hard, and enjoyed it all, even the dirty, smelly jobs." His wish was realized so he was happy. I think it is important not to give up own dreams from this sentence.
5. From this book, I learned to have a dream is good and important. This book is given wishes to us, so I recommend this book.

B i liked this passage because he found where he want belong to, even he did not know what he want to do in the future.
5: this book's contents was easy to understand. also I like the end of this book. he found what he want to do through adventure. so I though it is good to have many experience to find what I want to do in the future.

4b.When I read this, I wondered at her words because she was taking care of other's son and she noticed that the storm would come but she left him and went away. Even if her brother was very ill, she shouldn't leave then.
Does this situation happen only in this story? or is it common?
5.I like Matty because he loves animals and he has a dream for his future!! Also, he resembles me in character. He is not good at finding the right words to say. It is like me. haha...

4b.This passage explained the strength of the dog. Betsy was a farm dog and looked for her master. She was injured on the way to seeking. However, she didn't give up. I was surprised!
5.The main character likes animals, and also I like animals. Therefore, I had a close affinity with him. This story was interesting and the ending was good. When I read this book, I wanted to go camping!

This book is a story and main characters are Matty Doolin, his parents, farmer and his friends. I enjoyed this book because I like animals and Matty also likes animals so I could understand his feeling. He really wanted to work at farm. His experience at the farm was so good. I liked Matty the most. I would recommend this book.
