Snatch Lib/E: Cerberus MC Book 5

Rate this book
I've always been a connoisseur of the opposite sex. Tall, short, thin, thick and juicy, my tastes knew no limitations.

That became abundantly clear the night my best friend took me in his mouth.

Sure, there'd been close calls before, the slip of a hand or misplaced lips. With our propensity to share women, it was bound to happen.

That fateful night, I was met with pure intention and an experience I never want to forget.

Falling for a friend has never been so complicated.ething else?

I’ll soon find out that what happens in the dark will always come to light.

WOW! Marie James has another winner on her hands. I have read several of her books and I have never been disappointed. Snatch is not my regular genre but what a page turner. If you love M/M, then you definitely need to read this book. Snatch and Itchy are both members of the Cerberus MC and are best friends. It's not unusual for them to have a threesome, but one night the unexpected happens for Snatch. Wow, what a revelation. There are several surprises in the book and I will not be leaving any spoilers. One-click your copy and read about the lives and loves of the Cerberus MC.

This is the epitome of sex with a dash of plot. The majority of the book is sex, which I didn't expect (but am not complaining about). The issue I had with them is that there's a lot of MFM threesomes on page during the first half of the book, which I don't like much in my MM. I understand why they happened, but I would have preferred there to be less MFM scenes.

I did entirely skip the first four books in the series, but have no fear, we get pretty much the synopsis of everyones love stories throughout this book. It was pretty distracting.

I'm also going to pretend the end of the story and the epilogue didn't occur. I hate when couples walk back their no kids stance. Considering how everyone was exploding with babies during this story I wasn't surprised it happened, but I'll still pretend they didn't fall in line.

I also never really saw the motorcycle gang part of the book...they were more like an ex-military vigilante group? Who occasionally had motorcycles and really dumb nicknames? Oh well.

I just moved to rural, bordertown Texas, and I won't have internet for another week, WE NOW HAVE INTERNET and I just finished this book and I need to talk to people about it. I NEED TO. My husband, in my pre-blogging days, sometimes had to listen to rants about various scifi/fantasy books. He can handle the occasional geek out. He is not ready to hear me gush about this M/M MC Romance. I'm pretty sure he heard more than enough when I found out Snatch & Itchy were getting their own book.

This is my first M/M romance, and while I don't have an aversion to them, I've also never sought one out. NOW, I feel like I've been missing something. Snatch & Itchy together were just what the Cerebus MC series needed to spice things up a bit. All of the Cerebus MC books can be read as standalones, but I seriously think they are so much better if you read them all. I've seen a lot of reviews that say this is the first Marie James they've read, and that they are starting with Snatch specifically because of the M/M romance aspect. If you haven't read this series before, you will do just fine starting here... but you will love it so much more if you have all the background that goes with it.

After reading the prologue, I was seriously dreading what was to come. I knew it was coming, but it was still painful to watch. The epilogue was absolutely perfect and I hope this means more books... or a spinoff series... or SOMETHING. I have questions and I don't know if they would be spoiler-y or not so I'm refraining from asking them....

I received an advance reader copy of this book that I have chosen to review.

I loved it! Gushing to come as soon as I have internet next week!

I understand that this book takes place during the same timeline as the previous books so some things are mentioned and not given a lot of detail since we would have already seen what happened in one of the earlier books. But it made this book feel choppy and too fast paced when chapters would end abruptly and then the next one would start in the middle of another scene with little to no explanation of what exactly was happening.

In the end I barely saw a connection between our actual main characters and instead the book felt more like an overview of what happened in the last 5 books.

This review comes with a disclaimer. I’m really not in a reviewing sort mood; I’m tired and want to read not write, so this might suck. I’m also rounding up, but mostly because I’m putting the series to bed. I liked the characters, but not their story…if that makes sense.

I’ll admit, I was hesitant to start this one. The main characters names are Itchy & Snatch, and I was afraid she was going to flippant about their relationship. (they’re the jokesters of the mc) Also, they’ve been BFF for years, and have been described as skirt chasing manwhores for the last several books, so I wasn't sure if MJ could pull off a believable love story.

Welp, I have mixed feelings. The attraction did come out of the blue for Snatch, but Itchy had secret feelings for years. I don’t want to give spoilers, so I’ll just say… There’s some angst as she tackles Snatch’s struggle from heterosexuality to uncharted waters, and Itchy’s pain at his hesitation to acknowledge their relationship. (there’s also some military/don’t ask don’t tell stuff thrown in)

I hold all relationships to the same standards whether they are male, female, alien, vampire, werewolf, etc., and I’m not a fan of an ongoing OP train, so that was off-putting for me, and a HUGE obstacle for jumping aboard the Itchy Snatch love train. It’s hard to connect/invest in their love story when they’re banging other people, and getting turned on by others, which is the case until about almost 80%. I also felt it lacked fluid development as we followed Snatch through his struggle. It felt like we leap-frogged over important parts.

The timeline is all over the place. It starts two years earlier which places us in Kid’s book just before he heads out on the Vegas mission. Then we wind our way through the other books. IMO, the prologue is a pretty big hint of how things will play out. (I’m spoiler tagging, but this literally happens in the first 5 pages) This is why I HATE the future teaser at the start...it ruins the surprise. I read a lot, and could damn near map out the entire plot from that snippet, which was a bummer.

Bottom Line- Good if you're just looking for M/M and M/F/M smut, but not great if you're looking for an actual relationship. I found certain parts boring (all the x-tra mission stuff); and other parts OK; I never felt an emotional connection to the couple, and I guessed most of the plot from the prologue. The progression of the relationship felt off, and I couldn’t “feel” their chemistry because they were always getting hard and sleeping with women. (mostly Darby) I also thought the plot went a bit into ridiculous waters with a twist at 75% with the Snapper nonsense. Then, the bitch just disappears after tormenting us for 5 books with no comeuppance!! There’s a short epilogue 15 years later that sets up the next books which follows their kids. First up is Snatch’s unknown son Lawson (my guess is Darby’s kid) and Delilah their daughter, which I guess will work because she’s adopted, but she’s only 16.

WOW! This book...there just isnt enough words!!! So all thru this series i've been "ride or die" with Kid....his book just struck me and stuck with me. No matter what ones came before or after Kid he was my number 1...then i met Jaxon and Rob, (I can call them that because they are MINE MINE MINE!, you may call them Itchy and Snatch) these boys are now IT for me...they cant be beat! There's no possible way there can be a book better then this one, no couple will ever burrow into my heart like these two boys.

Fighting themselves, their feelings, fear, and an unbelievable bond that cannot be broken they are best friends in every way possible. They share everything, even their women! Until one night with one brave girl, Itchy works up the nerve to take a step that hes been wanting and dreaming of and crosses the line to sharing a woman with his best friend to sharing his best friend with a woman! He's been in love with his best friend for longer then he cares to remember and he knows that taking this step will change their lives no matter how Snatch reacts.

Snatch cant believe what happened in that bed! His bestfriend and him have shared more women then he can count over the years but NEVER have they crossed lines like Itchy did last night...and never did Snatch ever imagine that his reaction to it would rock his core and make him want it to happen again and again and again....

Hmmmmm, that some good shit right here!! I just adore an ongoing series that has a gay couple, and even better, they have their own book. Perfection!!

It's the best book so far, and I just love it. They were so manly, straight, and yet so gay. I enjoy reading bi awakening stories a lot.So, I think this book did really well, especially with a Mc biker book.

Snatch and Itchy were so good as a couple. The beginning had a lot of sex scenes with women. But when they got together without a girl, it was so good. I wish It had more scenes with them together.

I never realized the series continues with the children. Oh my god!! I am a sucker for second-generation storylines.

I came in on this on this one without reading the others in the series, but easily read it as a standalone. I know the rest of them have to be good though. I normally will not read MM that includes any m/f, but with the storyline of this one, I made the exception.
Hot beyond words, solid writing, and the ANGST, oh, the angst. The first good MC Club MM book I've read.
The other books in the series are m/f, but I'm tempted to go back and read them as well. Awesome read!

Snatch is the 5th book in the Cerberus MC series. It could be read as a standalone, but there is so much background that you would miss if you are not familiar with the amazing characters that make up the Cerberus MC.

Unlike the other books in this series, Snatch is almost exclusively about the relationships of all of the members of Cerberus. It only touches on some of the missions that the MC goes on.

"Now I just need to find the courage to tell the world that I’m pretty sure I want to spend the rest of my own forever with my best friend."

Itchy doesn't want to hide his feelings and emotions in a closet, but also wants to respect his best friend's feelings. Snatch seems to be overwhelmed by the way he responds to Itchy and doesn't know how to handle their changing and growing relationship.

"About last night."
"Three simple words, spoken with no sexual innuendo. A segue into a conversation about something I prayed he’d never mention while in the same second hoping he’d beg me to let happen again."

I love this series and was so happy to catch up with all of the members of Cerberus. I loved seeing the signs of my favorite tough MC members being tamed by family and love!

And can I just say that epilogue was epic, but really, Author Marie James, did you HAVE to end it that way?! As much as I love you... I kinda hate you right now!!!

2.5-ish? Stars

While I really enjoyed the dynamic between our two MCs I have several things that really detracted from the story:

- the threesomes were excessive and continued way too long for my liking
- these are supposed to be stand-alones but it’s obvious the author is trying to feed you info from other stories so that the copious amounts of side characters make sense - but they really don’t
-the evil bitchy skank storyline was very soap opera
-the epilogue was like way too far in the future? Maybe there should’ve been two or something so we could see them as a couple more before it’s just like *bam* a lifetime and kids later

*shrugs* I was hoping to like it more but I seem to be in the minority. I’d say definitely avoid this one if you don’t like females in your MM stories. It pretty constant and explicit for the first half of the story.

😍

I’ve never been a big fan of MM books more of a MMF but this book I loved so much these two had me wanting to yell and scream but understood the issues. By the last chapter I had a HUGE smile on my face. Then the way it ended. 💀 such a great way to end the generation. Now I can’t wait to see what’s to come from the kiddos. Mrs. James is becoming one of my favorite authors. Can’t get enough of these biker/marines. This series reminds me of the tv show Seal Team but they are apart of a MC.

I have read this whole series and have loved each and every book. This was a step out of the norm for the series with a M/M relationship as the primary focus, although there was all sorts of other relationship drama thrown in for extra measure in a way only Marie James can execute so beautifully. This book did an exiquisite job tying in all the previous books in the series from other perspectives. The book was thoroughly engaging and left me on the edge of my seat wondering where this relationship between Itchy and Snatch was going to go, and dying to know if it was going to end well, and a roller coaster ride it definitely was. The interactions between everyone in this book were so well written that I truly felt like I was right there with them. I enjoyed reading about all of the other amazing characters that reside within the clubhouse and embracing the MC world from Itchy and Snatch's point of view. And let me tell you, Marie James knows how to throw you for a giant loop so get ready to enjoy the ride!!!

I have an affinity with the m/m genre so initially that is what drew me to this book.Than came the beautiful hypnotic cover that whispered pick me and finally the banked heat within, waiting to be released by an unsuspecting voyuer. If books in the future ever become living 3D mini movies than the words that would leap off these pages upon opening, would be made of living flames.

The sexual heat of this MC tale is almost blistering and if you were a visually impaired reader and had to trace each word like a treasure trail I'd imagine one would feel the burn beneath your fingertips.Snatch and Itch the main characters have got to be one of the incendiary couples of 2017.There are mfm,mmf and later m/m scenes that dominate the book,so if want to immerse yourself in a chaotic journey filled with raw energy than take a spin on this wild ride.

Why are there only five stars?!! No, seriously... I need more.

This was by far the hottest MM book I have EVER read! Snatch and Itchy's story is incredible. Sexy and sweet and raw. I loved every word written. Marie James has already proven herself a brilliant writer and continues to show me with every new book why she is one of my favorites.

This book was to painful to read. I skimmed alot. Chapters ended abruptly, too many pointless conversations, too much angst. I don't even know what kind of clubhouse it is. Sounds more like special forces than a MC. Confusing. One minute something is happening, chapter ends and it gets cut off, new chapter somthing else is happening. It needs to be able to continue smoothly, not confuse me. Too much mf sex scenes for a mm book for my liking.

This woman has been, for quite a few months, one of my favorite author and I'll shout it out to everyone to hear it. She's an amazing author and her books shows just that.
Every single book that I've read has made me fall in love even more for her writing and I want everyone to see it.
Marie James has a simple, intense, heartfelt writing that will let you nervous, hot, happy and sad at the same time. If you don't believe me see for yourself.
Snatch is her latest release and I'm still shaking from the intensity of it.
But before I tell you a little bit more about this book I need to tell you something.
This book is the 5th book from the Cerberus MC series. Despite all books are standalones I totally advise you to read them all in order to know a little bit about each character.
This books tells Itchy and Snatch's story and Dayum what a story this was.
The way this story started left me amazed and nervous as well.
Itchy has a secret crush for his best friend but doesn't have the courage to admit it to him. But don't let him fool you because he's a big womanizer as well.
They are best friends and he doesn't want to do something that can jeopardize their bond.
But can he stay quiet for long?
Snatch is one of the brothers. He's a cocky guy, full of himself and funny as well. He's used to have every girl he wants and he also shared them but something is not right.
He has craves that can be misunderstood by his brothers. But what will he do? Fight or embrace it?
Sweet Jesus!! What a book this was... I'm still shaking from the intensity of it.
It was my first MM book and I loved it. I've read MMF and MFM and liked them, but this one is something else...
The plot is amazing and the interaction between the characters is not only intense but also funny as hell. One minute I was laughing so hard and the next one I was mad or sad.
The way the story progressed had the ability to hook me up in a way that I simply couldn't put it down and I was mad when someone interrupted me..
Sweet lord woman where did you get the inspiration to write the hot scenes?? Jesus they were hot as hell.
And seriously Marie James!!! Why did you ended the book like that? Why? Will we get more news about them? Please say yes!!! Please...
Will you write Snake and Ace's stories? I hope so...

I may have a slight addiction to this series, I've adored every book just a little more than the last and Snatch is no exception.
The friends to lovers thing has been done before, we've all read it and it's usually almost cookie cutter.
This one's different.
Not the least bit typical or cookie cutter.
Itchy & Snatch (yes it's okay to snicker, I did more than once) are best friends who share everything including women. The one thing they never shared was each other much to Itchy's dismay.
When a three way goes in a different direction and leaves Snatch questioning his best friend, his own sexuality, this is a make or break situation for them and it may not go like you expect!

I'm so in love with these characters, even though it took a minute to get over their names because obviously my brain is childish like that, the book easily sucked me in and had me yelling at characters trying to change the situations.
Another great addition to the series, 5 stars.

Itchy and Snatch ... sharing women and now sharing each other. This is not why the book wasn't my favorite .. it was because of the storyline. I wasn't overloaded with emotions which I have been in the previous reads.

Snatch has a hard time understanding what he is feeling. Knowing he has crossed a line with his best friend might not sit well with the brothers. Sharing women is one thing but knowing you want the man more than the woman is another entirely different explanation.

These two characters are really good guys. Love the MC and the addition of this story but it wasn't my favorite. Thank you for the ARC and chance to read. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

I have LOVED the Cerberus MC series. While I am not normally for a M4M romance, Marie did it in such a way that I was interested in. I loved that she included everyone yet again in the series as a little 'update' and sometimes it was the other aspect of previous books. Very well written!

The time jumps between chapters was a bit annoying and confusing, would probably have made more sense if I had read the previous books.
The way the relationship between Snatch and Itchy was perfect, I had to know how they solved their issues and if they found their HEA.

This was a hot and intense story full of drama, suspense, and surprises, and it had a great cast of characters. This book left us with an OMG moment that we wish we saw coming. One we loved though!

Itchy & Snatch were best friends who had spent years sharing women but, somewhere along the way, their friendship shifted from not wanting to just share women but, wanting to explore with one another the chemistry that they were experiencing between them it was easier when sharing intimacy with others to let themselves go.

Darby played a big part in making it possible for them to explore. This triad had a lot of ups and downs but, if she really wanted more with these men she shouldn't have done what Darby does best if she really wanted a new kind of life and not like the one she had before being rescued then she should have made better choices. Our hearts went out to her for the pain she felt as we could see them being a great triad in the making.

Snatch and Itchy's friendship was tested time and time again. Emotions got in the way. One party is not really coming to terms with the switch in their new dynamics.

A lot was happening in the clubhouse and out of it. Loved the interactions with the members and their women. Khloe was a voice of reasoning and a great friend and sounding board for a brother who was hurting and in need of a friend and the emotional support she provided was beautiful.

This was really one hot read filled with a ton of sexy scenes and there were a lot of them. The chemistry between Darby, Snatch, and Itchy was explosive and remained explosive even without her. This story was so emotional on so many levels. We did think Snatch and Itchy were perfect together and it was fun to see them whether storm after storm with what was or was not happening between them. Love is messy but, worth fighting for. Loved seeing one character get what they deserved it was a long time coming. You will laugh at times your heart will break at times but, there are good happenings transpiring within the clubhouse to lighten things up a bit. This was one intense page-turner that we absolutely loved.

I give mad props to the author for taking on something I have read very little of in the MC world. M/M. I love the fact that she took a story and ran with it where it combined two of my fave sorts of romance. I knew as soon as I saw this ARC blurb, I wanted to read it and love it hard. It simply stood out to me from the jump.
Though I think that I may have totally messed up here. I dove into a series five books in. It left me having an issue with some of the basic info, and feel for the club and it's day to day runnings, but all in all I managed okay.
This story is about Itchy and Snatch. Two members of the club who start out as best friends. Of course these names are crazy hilarious when you think about it, but okay... I enjoyed the jokes that were there to cut through the suspense. There was plenty of steam and suspense. The journey is rough and goes back and forth a lot. Though I have to admit I wanted more build and more depth/structure when it came to them. I'm not sure if that was because it was book five and I missed out on a lot from previous books or not.
I don't remember much about riding in the story, but these guys were rough and rowdy and also some had Ol ladies and were building their lives and settling down.
I also felt that the time jumps (minus the epilogue one) left me wanting a little too hard in spots where I really think I needed to know more. More so than just cliffy style and plot twist type wanting. It left my imagination lacking in spots, which I am not sure if it was intended or not.
The ending was a pretty great twist, but again really left me wanting since I expected closure on a specific issue earlier on. (Not about to spoil it.) I am only going to say that I am hoping that gets hashed out in another book because I feel that there were several loose ends that could be tied up and branched out into for some amazing story lines. I love bikers. I also love a great story where love is love is love. - By Cat

Until I read SNATCH, Marie James was a new to me author. And while some of her loyal readers of the Cerberus MC series were skeptical of how they would like the story as it features a male / male instead of your usual female / male couple, it was exactly this attribute that drew me in. A gay love story between two hard-axxed bikers in an MC? Hell yeah, count me in for the ride!

And while I would totally describe this book as your next one-handed read, because, OMG, when those two are going at it it’s just hot as freaking hell, this story offers so much more. It’s not just about fxxking. It is about two best friends realizing they are more than just that. It is a story about finding love and acceptance – of finding your soul mate. Because that is what these two are. They share a deeply rooted bond – they each would do anything for the other – everyone strives for in a relationship, no matter the gender.

Itchy and Snatch share just about anything – including women. Only has Itchy been keeping his real feelings for Snatch under the surface for so long, until one night when he finally finds the courage act on them, no matter the consequences. Snatch is – to put it mildly – shocked, but what is shocking him even more is the fact how he cannot seem to stop thinking about Itchy’s actions. It turns everything he thought he knew about himself upside down. Now he just has to decide how to handle his feelings going forward – because one thing is for certain: Outing himself in front of his MC members is not an option … or is it?

Fast-paced, full of action, emotion and heartbreak (I sympathized with itchy soo many times and wanted to slap some sense Snatch to finally get the stick out of his axx), that’s SNATCH.

And as I said in the beginning I jumped right into this series with this book, which is book five. And while this story can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone, I realized that it overlapped with bits and pieces of the other couples’ stories from the previous books, which means you are spoiled more than just knowing yes, they ended up together / are married / are pregnant, but also details about what they had to go through to get to their HEA. As for me, that won’t deter me from going back to reading the other books too – especially because I find the concept of an MC only including men who served in the military totally intriguing!

Title: Snatch
Author: Marie James
Genre: MC Romance M/M
Rating 5/5

WOW I honestly don't know what to say, no words can even begin to do this book any justice. I've been a huge fan of this series from the start and I kid you not it just keeps getting better and better, each book can be read as a standalone but I recommend you start from the beginning to get the full Cerberus family experience.

I hold my hands up and admit I was a bit sceptical when it came to reading this as it's my first full on M/M book I've read books where there's been M/F/M, F/M/F but never straight on M/M. Any doubts I had flew straight out the window as this was just effortlessly perfect Marie done an impeccable job in portraying the sexual awakening between two best friends.

I loved how Snatch and Itchy's relationship developed the connection they shared was beautiful, yes there were feelings of angst as Snatch struggled with the way he felt towards Itch and how he worried his brothers of Cerberus MC would react if and when they found out he was in love with his best friend.

Hot stunning men with equally hot stunning sex scenes filled with emotion made this the best in the series so far, yes I've said that before but Marie keeps upping her game each time bringing us these amazing books. And what an ending I literally sat up and looked around as if to say to anyone who would listen 'can you believe this? She didn't just leave me like that did she?'. I can't wait to see what's in-store next.

A truly brilliant read that hammers home the message that love doesn't discriminate, it is what it is ❤.

I must say that I'm totally addicted to this series! I have loved every book in it!. This one is hot and sexy! So Snatch and Itchy are best friends who share women on occasion. Nothing has happened between them until now.. Darby is a rescue that both guys like, she makes them experience things that they've kept hidden. Feelings start up but Snatch is afraid of what everyone will say and think. Itchy, on the other hand, is ready to come out and tell his brothers. Some have figure it out. Some manipulate the hell out of them to get what they want. I'm sorry but not everyone can be old lady material. This book was seriously smokin Hot! I mean some of these scenes could melt your kindle 🔥 🔥 🔥. It takes putting the fear behind and a mission to see things clearly. I seriously enjoyed this book! I will say if you're not comfortable with M/M/F and F/F/M, then don't pick this book up. They are very graphically described, which I highly enjoyed, but others may not.. just warning you all.
