Anyone who is a student of the Bible MUST read this book! The history of those who have written many of the resources that are used to determine what is meant by specific words within the Biblical text will find that many of these people are following an agenda that was meant to sway the meanings of words, change the purposes of certain concepts and traditions in order to lean the unsuspecting person toward a more "liberal" meaning. Thereby allowing a person to be purposely led astray from the word of God by the misinterpreted word of God! Well worth your time to read and study!

Riplinger is a King James Version Onlyist; she believes that the KJV is the one and only reliable Bible - even more reliable than the Bibles in the original ancient languages. And to that end, she has churned out this attack on the editors and compilers of editions of the Hebrew or Greek Bibles and of dictionaries of Biblical Hebrew or Greek.
I am sure you'd want to know what was wrong with their books. But she won't tell you. She can't seem to come up with a single instance of a mistake in any of their books. Instead, she attacks them personally and sometimes ridiculously and this is supposed to suffice in disparaging any effort to read the Scriptures in their original languages.
For example, one scholar is abused for attending a posh British all-boys school where, for the school play, he was supposed to dress up as a "dame" at age 12 or so. It gets worse, Liddell & Scott's monumental classical Greek dictionary is attacked solely because co-author Henry George Liddell knew Lewis Carroll, the author of Alice in Wonderland.
If you paid money for this book, you were swindled.

Let's just lay out the reason why this book is hated and it's author is demonized: a bunch of wanna-be Greeks had their Dagon knocked down and busted to pieces in this book and they were having NONE of it. (LOLOLOLOL)
99% of the teachers (pastors, preachers, professors) who refer to "the Greek" don't know GREEK. They run to Lexicons and Commentaries and then plagiarize the works of others (who also were NOT proficient in Koine Greek and most used Classical Greek manuscripts for their material) and, as I said, they then PRETEND to know Greek. But if their sources are garbage, then they lose their bread and butter. That's right: Money. 1 Timothy 6:10.
This books exposes the corrupt people (many of whom lived corrupt lives) using corrupt sources to produce corrupt Lexicons (and other materials) that are then used to corrupt the word of God. Gail Riplinger names names and provides documentation.
Rest assured, no King James Bible believer lost any sleep over this book unless it was from the joy of seeing someone take the time and put forth the effort to expose the wolves. I read it slowly over a period of a month because I checked out many of her sources and claims. If anything, Gail was too nice!
The perversion of God's word since the appearance of the German school of "the Higher Criticism" and the criminal dishonesty of Westcott and Hort in 1881 England with the so-called Revised Version (RV) that was brought to America in 1901 via Phillip Schaff and friends in the American Standard Version (ASV), as well as in 1954 by the Commuinist National Council of Churches and their Revised Standard Version (RSV) that is now the best-selling ESV of apostasy evangelicalism.
I deducted 1 star because it was a little disjointed in a couple of places. But it's good enough to read more than once and I have made sure our Bible teachers and church library have copies.
