I received this for an honest review...

Easton is a Drag Racer who believes racing and his family is the most important, Harper is a woman Drag Racer who is just bursting onto the scene when they meet and the attraction between is instant and HOT!!!

I find myself conflicted with this read. I really liked it, I just felt like it could have been more. The book itself is pretty fast and a good read. I just felt like I would have liked more. I felt like I would have like to see more angst between these two characters..

Burnout is the story of two people in the drag racing world.

Easton Hunter is the "it" man at the track. The women love him and want to be with him and the men hate him but want to be him. He likes things easy, fast, and most of all unattached. Easton keeps people at bay because of his tragic past.

Harper Dunn is not only the new face at the track but she's also the new GIRL in the drag racing world. She has dreamed of this her entire life. She has worked hard and with the support of her grandfather and mom, she has finally made it to the big leagues.

Can a girl make it in a "man's" world? Can true love be found in the midst of competition?

This was a quick read but I felt like it lacked in the build up and details area. I felt like it was very wam bam thank you ma'am type of a book. The synopsis leads a reader to think there is more angst than there really is. I could tell the thoughts were there, just not verbalized with as much detail as I would have hoped. It was a good book just not my particular cup of tea and that's ok.

Burnout by Brooklyn Taylor is the first book I've read from this author and I will definitely be looking forward to reading more of her work. I really enjoyed this story, it was very fast paced but yet didn't feel rushed. We see a lot happen but the flow was excellent.

Easton Hunter is on top of the world being the best drag racer known he was born into this life. His first love is racing and his sister and dad. Easton occupies his nights wth random hookups and his days on the track, never one to be in a relationship he swears off anything that requires more than a wham bam thank you mam, that is until until he sets his eyes on what can be his next biggest competition.

Harper Dunn was raised by her single mom and grandfather (pop) always around drag racing it was in her blood he dreams of one day being in the hot seat occupied her every waking moments and she was determined to prove everyone wrong when the odds were against her.

What started off as a one night hookup these two are in fir the biggest test of their life, especially when Harper meets the undeniably adorable three year old beauty named Sammy.

Known for his cockiness and non commitment life changes at the blink of an eye when tragedy strikes the Hunter household, and Easton is forced to be everything he swore he would not.

Can a little feisty three year old hold the key to bringing two people together faster than the 300 mph speed they are used to only in the track?

I highly recommend this story I admit I did cry at one point, then I was laughing at the banter between these two determined strong willed characters, the insta attraction and chemistry between them was scorching, and little Sammy (blue) was such a breath of fresh air and an extremely important part of this story.

"You know what I am goi g to call you from now on ?"
I paused waiting for an answer. No, dumbass, she isn't going to answer you.
"Blue, I am going to call you Blue." I smirked.
"Do you want to know why I am going to call you that?"
"I'll tell you....you have always screamed bloody murder every time I have held you since the very first time in the hospital 6 months ago. You would turn blue....the blue of the annoying dog on Blue's Clues that you love so much. So....that is your name to me from now on."

Is there anything cuter than a guy with baby. A big tough man's man who lets a little girl wrap him around her finger. Having tea with Barbie. Definitely makes him sexier.

Harper is a gal trying to make it in a man's world. She wants to be a top drag racer. She loves the feel of the engine and the rush of winning. She has finally gotten her chance to see if she can run with the big dogs. The professional circuit. She is confident in her work life....in her personal life....she's still looking.

I lived for me. I knew I was looking for something but had no clue what in the hell it was.

Easton is a lead racer. He makes engines go fast and hearts go faster. He can drop panties faster than he can get down the track. But he has no time for long term. He already has the woman in his life who means the most to him....his niece. She is his priority.

Here this little life was making me feel something I had never felt for another by not speaking a word. She was special.

Harper thinks her deepest desire is to conquer racing. Easton thinks that racing is his life. But what happens with circumstances show you a deeper desire? A more meaningful purpose for your life. Can you be at the top of your game and give your heart away? What are you willing to sacrifice your dreams for? Or who?

Ms Taylor has given us another character driven book that shows a depth of spirit. She gives us surprises, angst, love and more than a little conflict. Burn Out is set in the world of drag racing but don't worry. You don't have to know how to change your oil to enjoy this one.

Review of Burnout by Brooklyn Taylor

Review done for Hooked on Books

4 ½ out of 5 stars

Easton Hunter does not have a very good opinion about women. When his mother abandoned his family when he was ten, he lost respect for women. Who needs one if they just leave, was his thinking.

The only woman he loved was his sister; but even she left. Easton’s sister also left him another female to love and that was her daughter. When Mallory died, Easton and his father were all little Samantha had left.

Drag racing and Samantha are now Easton’s priorities in life. He has even given up the one-night stands.

Harper Dunn fell in love with Drag racing after spending time at the track with her Pop. She is bound and determined to be a force to be reckoned with in a male dominated sport.

On a rare night out with her friend, Harper meets Easton. Though Harper isn’t a one-night stand kind of woman, she couldn’t deny the attraction she felt towards him. She can’t believe the hottest sex of her life was with her competition.

Easton had no idea who Harper was until they meet up at a race. She is completely different than any woman he has ever met. His walls are coming down from around his heart, especially when her and little Samantha hit it off.

I loved this story. Even though I am not a Drag racing fan, I really enjoyed learning about the sport.

The author did an amazing job with these characters. I loved them both.

I definitely recommend this book to read!

Easton Hunter's only passion is drag racing and he loves his playboy lifestyle. When tragedy strikes his family and he suddenly finds himself responsible for his three year old niece, he is forced to re-evaluate his priorities. Harper Dunn is determined to make it in the male dominated world of Drag Racing. She fell in love with it when she was young and she's not letting her sex stand in the way.

Easton and Harper meet on a night out and share a steamy night together. They do not know that they are in competition with each other on the track. With Easton's lack of trust in women due to his experiences growing up, and both determined to be the best on the track, what are they willing to sacrifice? When Hunter's adorable niece quickly bonds with Harper, things soon get even more complicated.

Burn Out is another well written romance from Brooklyn Taylor. I loved the relationship between Easton and Harper and did not think it was at all rushed. Easton's niece, Sam, adds another enjoyable element to the story and the I loved the interactions between her and Easton and her and Harper. I was concerned that my complete lack of knowledge of Drag Racing might affect my enjoyment of the series but it is clear that Brooklyn Taylor had done her research and written Burn Out with readers like me in mind!

I would definitely recommend Burn Out to romance lovers.

Geez, where do I start with this review. Brooklyn Taylor is an amazing author! She writes as she feels, and the words jump off the page. Her characters are so realistic that its almost impossible NOT to fall in love with them, and travel the twists and turns with this book as if your watching it happen right in front of you.

Burnout is her newest book, and its got that “edge” in it that keeps you coming back for more.

Easton Hunter – Bad Ass dragster with the typical bad boy attitude – However, he may just have met his match with Harper Dunn.

Brooklyn has yet another 5 star read on her hands here!!

Burn Out by Brooklyn Taylor is a reading on full speed mode, mirroring Easton Hunter’s life.

Easton is a drag racer, and has it all; a job he loves, his family, women, no string attached. Of course, he has some commitment issues, thanks to his mother who abandoned his family.
He worked hard to be the best in the field. The excitement and the thrill of the race kept him going on for more; always for the win.
He doesn’t have time for anyone, except for his niece and his father. When one of his one night-stands reveals to be so much more, acknowledging all his family, he has to revalue
his priorities.

Harper Dunn is coming into Easton’s planned life in a surprising way. Nothing like the women he met before, she was turning his world upside down. She’s not looking for a relationship and wanted to live her dream to the fullest, being ones of the first drag racer woman.
As Easton, she planned her life and everything that she worked for is falling right into pieces. But when she crossed path with Easton’s niece, Samantha, the little girl won her heart.

I loved how family has a huge part in the story and I really appreciated how both of them managed their life. The characters weren’t fooling around their feelings and it was so refreshing! They have a amazing chemistry, and the banter, quirky and sexy. Easton was sure about his feelings and the challenge was here; make her his. But can they manage it, without jeopardizing their careers?
Lovers who compete, car to car on the race track, was very thrilling and interesting, keeping me captivated.

It was interesting to see how they both handled the situation, and especially Easton who was well known as a man-whore.Totally unexpected. He was the one to move forward and for the first time, being insecure when it comes to her.
They worked as a team and a family, the little Samantha was just an awesome kid! She reunited them and gave them the balance they needed in their lives.

Although everything in this story happened rapidly, the plot was solid, the characters were great and I enjoyed reading it!

I grew up at the race track. My family had several cars that they drag raced most weekends of my youth. So, when I had the chance to talk to Brooklyn Taylor about her desire to write a romance about this...I was so excited.
Easton is in the top spot of his field of Top Fuel Dragster racing. He is an athlete with all the alpha characteristics you would imagine. His job and passion is #1 racing and #2 family, his dad, sister Mallory and niece Sammy. He has no time for relationships. He has issues that add to that. He's fine with this arrangement and has no bones telling women straight up what he is about. There does not seem to be a problem with this.
Harper has grown up around racing because of her Pop (grandfather). She has it in her blood. She has done her time and jumped through all the hoops to finally get her chance at being one of the few female dragster drivers on the circuit. Her personal life has been on hold for her career. She had her mom, pop & best girlfriend. That was fine, until now.
A chance encounter brings these two together for what seemed to be one night of passion with rockets and pistons blaring. Little does Easton now he might have met his match.
This story has thunderous chemistry and hotness to make you shake in your seat. If you've ever been to a drag race to get high on the smell of nitro & watch top fuel cars explode down the track, you will get that experience here. Add in the sweet Sammy (or Blue) who will steal your heart. There is plenty of banter to make you laugh. Situations to having you hanging on to your seat. Steamy scenes might make you blush.
I enjoyed this read for several reasons. I know about racing, even if I didn't, the romance that explodes is heart warming and believable. The HEA made me feel this sweet ride was worth it.
Enjoy this read over the weekend. Let it take you to the races.
~She changed something in me that very moment, as I watched her feeling safe in my arms. She was special.~ Easton about Sammy
"300 MPH in 3 seconds in 1000 feet."
"This is drag racing. We don't make turns, it's straight away."

Easton and Harper Burn Each Other Out…..

Easton Hunter is the man all the ladies want to be with and all the men want to be, well at least that what he thinks?! When I first started this story I wasn’t particularly crazy about him. He was a little too arrogant for me and I was kinda hoping he would catch a bad case of the crabs! He so deserves it lol… Don’t get me wrong he is definitely hot, just a little too over the top arrogant.

“I removed my fingers, tasting them before entering her a short minute later. I had her screaming in a heartbeat. She was riding me as I moved in and out meeting me intensifying the tightness of the area I was invading. We continued together until we were covered in sweat, mine dripping on her and hers making us suction together as we collided.”

However, as the story goes on I really started to like how his character developed and he actually grew into a pretty honorable guy. ☺

Easton definitely meets his match in Harper Dunn both on the racetrack and in his bed. Harper is a spitfire of a character and I liked her right off the bat! She has worked hard all her life to get where she’s at and she is going to prove to the world that drag racing league is not just for men. Gotta give the girl credit she tries to fight off her attraction for Easton, but she fails miserably. It turns out to be a really good thing too, they were made for each other.

“I can come with you ….. he tells me. I try to change my expression on my face to lead him to believe that it wasn’t what I was wanting which was the furthest from the truth. Hook me up to the lie detector and watch me fail horribly. I would surely be electrocuted.”

Over all, I liked this story a whole lot and I think the book had a lot of potential, but the writing was a little lacking for me… the grammatical errors were just enough and too often that it distracted me while reading and threw off the story flow for me.

This was my first read by this author, and thought the book was okay. This was a bit of a slow read for me, I didn't get that wow feeling when reading this. I thought I was being told what was going on and not experiencing it. Felt like it was too much of a fast paced read. I thought it could of been more thought out and a longer book. I felt like it was too rushed, and had way too much potential to be that short. Also it was a good and interesting storyline, that could of been expanded. Like I felt like the ideas were there, and was going in a positive direction it just wasn't expanded or thought out very well.

Moving onto the characters however I did like them a lot. So the hero in this story is a man named Easton Hunter. He is a drag racer, and kind of a big deal and some people know him as the "it" guy. His life revolves around two things his family and racing. I really liked his character, I felt like just like the story the characters were also flawed out, like not enough back story or angst. Not enough characterization. But did like he put his family first, like the fact he gave up a lot in his life to raise his niece. I did feel bad that he had a rocky past, and start in life. Due to that he kept people at arm’s length. He never sticks with a woman more than a few hours, so as you can tell he's a one nighter kind of man.

Eventually the heroine Harper comes into the picture who happens to be a female drag racer. And when her and Easton, sparks fly. They have instant chemistry. But what I felt there wasn't enough angst between them, like when I mentioned before the book felt rushed and fast paced, so due to that their relationship was too.

But I did like Harpers character, she was determined and fierce woman for going into a career, sport, that was male dominated. And making a name for herself as well. And was being challenged due to meeting Easton.

Overall it was an okay read, expected a lot more from this book.

*I was given a copy of this book as a gift from Stephanie's Book Reports in exchange for an honest review.

Easton Hunter grew up knowing that he was going to be a drag racer. It was, after all, in his blood. His plan was not to be your every day run of the mill drag racer; he wanted to be the best. On the track, he is focused and determined. However, his life off the track is quite the opposite. He finds himself in a different woman's bed every night most of the time never even remembering their names. When tragedy strikes, his life is turned upside down.

Harper Dunn has worked hard and paid her dues finally earning a spot as one of the world's first female drag racers. She is determined to prove to all of the nay sayers that some women actually do belong on the race track. She knows that she can't afford to allow herself to become distracted, but that proves impossible after sharing a night with the sexy (and Cocky) Easton Hunter. She then meets Samantha "Blue" Hunter, and her distraction is only intensified. As she and Easton spend more time with one another, they each begin to experience feelings that neither of them ever expected. Will they risk it all to be together or hit the brakes for good?

Oh my! This is an awesome read! I fell hard for Easton, and he has now made the list of my all time favorite book boyfriends! I mean, who can resist a cocky and sexy drag racer? Add in his sweet side, and lord my ovaries just exploded! I really love Brooklyn's writing style! Her vivid descriptions draw you in and allow you to experience the story as if you were right alongside the characters! If you are looking for a unique and enjoyable read, you should give this one a try! Excellent job, Brooklyn!!

Looking for a story based on a bad boy racer but with a huge heart and don't forget gorgeous too?
Well look no more Easton Hunter is here and he will leave your heart beating so fast you will feel like a racer yourself.

Car racer Easton Hunter is the #1 in his division, amazing driver, gorgeous man but there was one thing that you will never see him do, a serious relationship but like everything things change and that will be when Harper Dunn walks into his life and takes a liking in his niece Sammy "Blue" Hunter the little girl he is racing since his only sister passed away.

Harper Dunn was ready for her dream to come true, being a professional car racer was all she wanted and now it was her time to shine. But she did never in her wild imagination having something with Easton Hunter and that will change her perspective in life especially since Sammy is so easy to be loved.

Easton, Harper and Sammy will take you to one of the most lovable story that will have you smiling one minute, teary the next. The love, compassion, loyalty and admiration this characters have for one another is so palpable it will make you forget you are reading a fictional book and that is what we look into them.

This book has a little bit of everything; love for family, thrill of the races, admiration for the man you love. This book is a must read and you will not want to miss it.

When I read the blurb for this book I though I need to read this because what more do you need than an alpha male, kick ass female and drag racing. With this story you will get that and so much more.

The characters in this book will have a way of winding themselves around your heart. Ms. Taylor did an excellent job of developing each and every character in this book. It is told in dual POV so you will get a great feeling for Easton and Harper. Blue will make you just want to reach through the pages and hug her. Family meant so much in this story. It was great to see families that depended on and supported each other through the tragedies and the triumphs.

This story will take you on a emotional rollercoaster ride. The tragedies would tear many people apart but family banded together and worked through it. However you will shed a tear, cheer for each character and laugh. I also loved that as Easton and Harper get to know each other their relationship is not full of drama. Don't get me wrong there are some speed bumps along the way but they are truthful with each other and support each other. Kudos to Ms. Taylor for throwing in twists and turns that will have you holding your breath and turning the page as you pray for a good outcome.

If you want romance, family and a emotional rollercoaster of a ride then I suggest you strap yourself in for a wild ride.

3.5 stars!

I was really intrigued by the premise of this book. I love stories that feature women in roles where they challenge what's "normal" for a female. I was really looking forward to seeing Harper tearing up the track, which she did, but there was more.

I liked Harper. She's a talented driver and racing is all she's ever wanted. I liked how she was determined to be the best driver possible. I even liked how sweet she was. Same goes for Easton. Easton might have been a playboy, but he was a total marshmallow at heart, especially when it came to his niece. I can't tell you how much he made me swoon. The two certainly had chemistry as could be evidenced by their one night stand.

Here's the thing. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was light and quick. There was potential for a lot of angst and while the story showed promise wasn't able to deliver in it. I will also admit to being a little turned off after seeing how quickly hooking up with Easton started messing with Harper and her mindset about racing and being the best.

There were a few moments and even some heavy emotional ones. It was really easy to fall in love with Samantha, Easton's niece and him when he was with her. This is my first book by Brooklyn Taylor and it was nice. I look forward to checking out more of her books and trying them out.

I freakin LOVED Burn Out so much that I wanted to cry when I finished it, as I could read about Harper and Easton for days!

Easton Hunter has one obsession, racing. He fills his nights with no name women, but it will always come down to racing. Life is going perfectly until a tragedy hits his family hard, and he's left picking up the pieces. Harper Dunn is finally racing with the big boys. She works hard, as it's near impossible for a woman to prove herself on the track. There's no time nor desire for a relationship. After a one time hook up with Easton, she realizes she can't get him out of her head, and he's having the same problem. She manages to stay away from him, until she meets 3 year old Samantha Harrington. Will Harper and Easton take a leap of faith or walk away?

This story instantly grabbed my attention from the get go, and never let up. The character development is great, with a well written, exciting storyline that flows perfectly. Brooklyn Taylor is fantastic at blending the romance with racing, and I couldn't get enough. Easton and Harper's chemistry on and off the track is super sexy, leading to hot flash worthy sexy scenes. My emotions took a hit with powerful angst, and well placed humor had me laughing loudly. I love Brooklyn Taylor's writing style so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Cocky and arrogant. Easton has always had a reason to be that way. After his mom left them when he was a kid it became all about the family of him, his dad, and sister the three went together all over the country while their dad worked in the drag races and Easton became hooked at a young age. He's one of the best and his looks have helped him into the beds on many. But while he has one persona the world sees behind the mask it a totally different guy and when tragedy struck he was there to pick up the pieces.

Harper is a woman in a male dominated sport and she's determined to hit it big. The night before her first big race she finds herself at the attention of the Eastern Hunter and she's not about to turn him down for an offer to look at his car but she holds the ace and she's not about to let him in on who she is.

Sparks fly between these two but neither has ever been in a relationship and they're flying blind on how things should go. The few things they know for sure tho? They burn it up in the bedroom, a certain little girl can easily get them wrapped around her fingers in no time, and no matter what they're both in it to win!

Fast paced this novel kept the heat turned up during a cold afternoon spent reading!

Wow I devoured this book, Burnout is the first book I've read from this author but certainly wont be the last...

Burnout is about two drag racers... one girl.. one boy... both love to race and both don't do relationships

Their whole world revolves around racing...

WOW what can I say about East, he is so bloody swoon worthy.. yes he's you typical playboy but he is also a sweetheart underneath .... the way he is with his niece ,, OH GOSH its so sweet.....(sigh)

Harper is also a drag racer, she loves the thrill of the race... she meets East at a race when she starts racing professionally

The chemistry is off the charts, the sex is HOT AS HELL,

Burnout had me laughing, smiling, crying and swooning..

It was a awesome book and I just couldn't put it down, I just had to read it in one sitting as I couldn't stop :)

Burnout is definitely a book I will re-read over again... I must get Burnout in paperback.....

I hope the author writes more books from East and Harper.. I need more of them ...

I cant wait to see what is next from this author as she is amazingly talented

100* MUST READ ......

This was definitely a super cute storyline. I wish there was more to go with it... the story just kind of rushed to an end for me... but overall was a good story. The one thing that stands out to me is, in my opinion an editing error... in the midst of chapter 10, the perspective changes from her to him in the middle of the chapter. it was labeled as her pov and was until the last paragraph which was his perspective.

Easton comes from a racing family... as tragedy strikes their family time and time again, the Easton men stand together to raise sweet little Sammy... aka Blue. She is definitely a star in this book!! She is the catalyst for Easton and Harper meeting.

Harper has loved racing forever, even traveled across the world to get her chance!! She is just looking for a good time... but finds so much more in Easton!

I loved the character development. The story moved along nicely.... then rushed at the end. There was the one pretty big error, but otherwise I loved the story! !

This is the first I have read by this author. I would definitely pick up more from her!!

Burnout is another solid release from the amazing Brooklyn Taylor. Easton is your typical alpha male (on the surface) burning through women the same way he drives his cars. Racing has always been the most important part of his life along with his family. Harper is a female driver in a male dominated world looking to take the place that she has earned through hard work and perseverance. She has a big heart but demons from her past shape the way she looks at relationships. But as the story progresses we learn that Easton is far more complex than he first seemed and in choosing to raise his niece Blue has changed his entire life. Blue is such a sweet little girl that needs all the love her family can give to her. Burnout is a quick read filled with fast turns and makes for a fantastic new story. I felt a myriad of emotions while reading Burnout but my heart hurt the worst for Blue. Get ready for the races as you dive head first into the amazing world of drag racing.

This was an okay read – definitely has potential. Easton Hunter is a drag racer that all the women want to be with and all the men want to be. He likes everything in his life to be fast and because of a rocky past he keeps everyone at arm’s length. Harper Dunn is trying to make a name for herself in the drag racing world and being a women isn’t making this an easy task. She’s worked hard her entire life and with the help of her grandfather and her supportive mother she’s finally getting the chance to prove herself. The attraction between Easton and Harper is immediate, the sparks fly from their very first hello. Then disaster strikes and Easton has to make some tough choices.
This story lacked build up and character development. It was a quick read and it has its moments I just expected a bit more. I’m giving it 3 stars. I’m interested to see what this author puts out next.
I received an ARC for an honest review.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I really liked it. Burnout was a fast- paced story that kept me interested throughout the whole book. I was really intrigued reading a book about drag racing.

Easton is at the top of his career and has been around drag racing since he was a teenager. He is your typical cocky and sexy man who loves seeing different women with no strings attached. That is until tragedy hits home and his life takes a turn he never saw coming.

Harper is determined to make a name for herself in this man's world of drag racing and has no plans on falling in love. That is until she meets Easton and Sammy (Blue).

I really enjoyed the way these two were with each other. I loved the whole dynamics of the three of them. The only complaint I had was that I just didn't feel like the epilogue was complete; I would have liked a little more of a conclusion.

3 .5 stars

This book started off really slow for me. It felt more like I was being told the story and not like I was in the story.

Also I only need to be told one time that the guy is a manwhore and will sleep with anything that walks. I don't need it repeated every other page. I understand men have needs, but they should have standards too.

I wasn't a huge fan of Easton in the beginning and I didn't really care either way about him at the end. I did love the fact that he gave up a lot of his life to take care of his niece. That isn't something a lot of people would do.

I liked Harper a lot. I love seeing strong woman in books. Too me her and Blue were the highlights of the story!

This book had a lot of potential. I really wish the beginning wouldn't have been so much telling me. About the half way mark the book picked up and saved it for me.

There were some discrepancies with the book and the time line.

** I received a copy from the author.**

Burn Out was an okay read for me. I expected a little more from the characters in the drag racing world; a little more buildup, excitement, angst. The story is about Easton and Harper who are both in the drag racing world and both of them are weary of commitments and more into one night stands. The story was sweet and simple. Easton really did have a great heart and cared for his family and I liked that about him. He seen women as good for one thing until he met Harper and I felt like he changed overnight. Harper was sweet and I enjoyed reading her interactions with Sammy. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I’m glad I had to chance to experience her writing style. I would recommend this book to readers looking for a sweet and fast read.

Easton Hunter is at the top of his field in drag racing. He is self-assured and cocky. Easton has no problem with the ladies with his good looks, although he has no room for a relationship between his racing career and his family, especially his niece Sammy that he calls Blue.

Harper Dunn is a female racer. She is strong and confident. I like strong female characters and Harper definitely fits the bill. Harper has an insta-love...with Sammy. She immediately falls in love with the little girl. Sammy is a cute and fun little girl.

Burnout dealt with some heartbreaking tragedy but was overall a light read. There was a bit of angst but not too much.

Easton and Harper burn up the pages as well as the track. I don't anything about racing but easily related to the story.

I was very excited to get my greedy little hands on Burnout!! Brooklyn Taylor is an amazing writer! I love how she is venturing in her writing and exploring new sides of her awesomeness!!

I've read everything Brooklyn has released and they keep getting better and better!!

Brooklyn makes it easy to fall in love with her characters and live their stories.. I had a serious book hangover after finishing this one.

Harper Dunn - an amazing woman in a man's world!
Easton Hunter - Bad Ass Dragster with a surprising story behind his rugged exterior
Blue - How could you NOT fall in love with this one!!

I'm telling you this is a great read with a lot of heart behind it.

Can't wait to read more from Brooklyn!!

This book is not my typical read and my first book by this author. I think this book has great parts. I just really wish it went a little bit deeper. The book covers heavy issues, but in a "skimming the surface" manner. This book is not an insta-love formula, but the pace still moves quickly.

Easton Hunter has a lot of admirable qualities and Harper Dunn is an excellent female lead.

Good book if you're looking for a quick, not too light kind of read.

I liked Burnout, but didn't love it. The main reason I didn't love it is that I feel like some of the story didn't get told.

I really liked both Easton and Harper as characters and enjoyed them together. I really would have liked to have seen just a little bit more of them.

It really felt like Burnout has fantastic potential, just needs a little more TLC for Harper and East to fully tell their story.
