What happens when you go where you shouldn't go, or open doors which are best left closed? The evident answer is that your life will never quite be the same. "Come and play!"

The Graveyard Lantern is a simple, easy to read, and ultimately very creepy take on this very familiar theme. I thoroughly loved it. I was drawn into the story quickly, and found myself enjoying a ride which had a few unexpected twists and turns. As an American, I took delight in familiarizing myself with terms and twists of phrase which would be well-known to a British reading audience. Honestly, this book was great fun! "Come and play!"

I think this whole book is fun. Ian Harris, who has also written a collection of poems I've reviewed entitled "Cold Music," has written a fun story, that teenagers and others will enjoy, especially if you like your literature to veer into the creepy side. The Goosebumps authors could learn a thing or two from this book. To quote an essential character in the story, "Come and play!"
