Read this for the first time in 1977. I am proud of my curiosity at that age. Read it again in 2017. I now would not mind visiting some of these sites.

Whether Nessie or Bigfoot or any other cryptid is real doesn't matter – daydreaming about something more is what matters to most who are enthralled by these stories and this book is for them. Alan Landsburg's writing is wonderful, evocative, clear. The book was published in 1977, I bought it used from a small bookshop, and I absolutely did not expect to be so charmed by Landsburg's style. I'm going In Search Of…his other books.
