Ms Fortune gets better and better with each book in this series. I'm very glad I am privileged to to be able to come along with her on this ride. This is a satisfying quick read. And now I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. These books are unique in the dystopian genre and there is never a dull moment. Several different groups of people have their own set of challenges as they learn to cope with one another and may even come to trust each other. I am left pondering how I might have done the same things or how differently I might have acted given the same challenges. I hope I never have to find out.

KM Fortune’s novel, Tolerance is The Forever Winter Chronicles, is the fifth installment of a serial novel, therefore it does not work as a stand-alone piece. I don’t believe in reviewers giving a detailed synopsis of the book. I feel that is the job of the author to get people to read the book and it is the job of the reviewer to give an honest review. Since I do not like to give spoilers, in a way, I cannot say all that I would like to about the dystopian world KM Fortune has created, except that if you believe the premise of the story, it is a truly believable, though disheartening, future world. It was not difficult to suspend disbelief in this dystopian future of people trying to live, not just exist. KM’s fast-paced story allows you to breeze through the installment. There is plenty of realistic action to maintain interest. The dialogue was credible and authentic and was not stilted. Some characters could use further elaboration, the primary characters are complex, well rounded, and well thought out.
KM Fortune has put together a well written and interesting future world. It is a story driven by strong central characters, with action and dialogue that pull the story together.
