I live in Texas with my husband, daughter, and three Labrador retrievers. By day you can find me at my 'day job' buried under a pile of paperwork but at night I am at my computer creating new worlds!

I have always loved the paranormal. Shape-shifters, witches, and vampires have been my number one choice of reading material so when I strated to write it was the genre I chose.

I currently have several books released through Totally Bound. I have one long running series the Were Chronicles and in March 2014 a spin-off series the Shifter Chronicles will be revealed.

I also have several stand alone novellas and novels.

I am working hard to bring more stories to the readers so they can sit back and relax while losing themselves in the paranormal romance world.

I don't know how to feel about this series honestly. Don't get me wrong, I've loved the first two stories. They are quick and perfect to sneak in quickly. Like this one for instance, I was supposed to start a buddy read today but needed something to read quick the night before. So at 63 pages, I had it read fast, because let's face it, I can't go to sleep without something to read. It was a hot little number with some alpha shifters. I mean it was absolutely perfect for what I needed last night, but here's my problem with it.....

The first book was like 64 pages and this one said 63, I think, and they are over $4 a piece. Now, I don't mind spending that on a long book AT ALL, but for 60 something pages it seems really pricey. I normally don't even hesitate about price, especially $4, but I expect more than 60 pages for that amount. Whatever, I've never complained about price, especially in a review, but there it is.

I don't want to sway away from the series, it's good, and I'll probably keep going with it, just a little high on the price for the amount of pages.

Someone was hurting the female of the local packs and pack alpha Lamont was calling all his pack females home. All female means all female even if they didn’t want to come home.

Emily is one of those female who just didn’t take the news well but knows she can’t deny a direct order from her alpha. With her bags packed and all set to go she awaits her escort as per her alpha she is not allowed to travel back to pack land on her own – but at no time did the alpha say he was sending Cain to collect her – yes Cain.

Cain is the alpha’s son and pack enforcer as well, he is also the man who has always kept a strict hold on his emotions when it comes to Emily. Cain has seen Emily grown from a gangly teenager into a full fledge woman who rings all his bell and more. Cain is more than aware of the insane attraction he has for Emily but he is determined to continue to resist her as he’s always done, irrespective of how hard it was for him.

Being home together is another thing totally, as they are toss together at every turn and it seems as if the whole world is conspiring to push them together. They do get together because, if it’s one thing that wolf’s are - it’s sexual – so there is little they can do to avoid it.

Their joining is not the stuff of fairytale because a force unlike anything the pack has seen in a long time is at work and it is affecting Cain the most – and as the pack knows Cain is one dangerous man when you mess with what is his.

PACK ENFORCER is the second book in the Were Chronicles by Crissy Smith and I am loving it. The language was clean, to the point and the protags are in your face dynamic.

I meet Cain first and I got a little bit of why he treats Emily has he does, as well as his interaction with his father as both a son and an enforcer. When Emily enter the scene she immediately brought a world of angst with her - with her questioning attitude and her less than respectful attitude for Cain.

The two together are fun and the smut was immediate and right off the cuff which made it all the hotter to read. The support staff were integrally placed to make sure they push this book along and I got to love some of them in the meantime.

So far this has shaped up to be an exciting series and I am loving the novella approach to each book. I am already looking forward to the third book in this series – because there is a mystery to be solved and I was none the wiser about that storyline after this book.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! I bought this because I liked book 1, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

This is the 2nd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content.

I couldn’t put the book down because it had me from the start. Emily is strong and independent, and I really like her as a character. Cain is a mixed bag because I liked him in book 1, and this book he was all over the place acting like a jerk one minute and being sweet the next. I think it was important to his character, but there were moments I would have liked to slap him. There is lots of action with the attacks going on, and Emily and Cain getting their acts together. I really like this series and want to continue, but it will have to wait until I can buy the books.

I highly recommend to any shifter fan especially if you love wolves!

Nothing like a quickie to satisfy a girl on a Saturday night.

I read the three books of this series late last night (early this morning). Fabulous books for short stories. Pack Alpha (book 1) was my fav. but there is a lot of potential built into books 3 ... I hope that there are many more books to come in this series and I hope that they are all as short and sweet as this one. The length sets them apart from all the other paranormal books.

I found Cain slamming her into the bed then choking her all a bit weird. Not sure how I feel about that being so quickly and easily resolved, I would have liked to see something visibly calm Cain down, like a proper mating or ..I don't know, something. I was left wondering what will happen in the future after another misunderstanding. Will he just loose it and kill her? Odd.

Enjoyable short read but not as good as the first.

Cain's overreaction without talking to her properly first was a bit much. Although the author did attempt to explain that reaction more after. There wasn't enough of a build up about who the killer was. It was too anti-climatic. I had a problem with Cain's total lack of regard of what Emily might want in one of the scenes but then he redeemed that part of himself right at the end.

I loved this book even more than the first one. It also felt too short but the author has a way of packing a lot of things into her stories.

The sex scenes were even hotter and I became more emotionally attached to the characters. Emily was broken. She had loved Cain her whole life but he had made it perfectly clear he didnt want her.

The only one that could make Emily whole again was Cain but he had to realize his own downfall.

I really can't wait till the next volume in this series. I love how this author creates such intense sexual bonds. But their back story makes their romance believable.

Book two of series. Well written, great plot, hot sexy moments. Was nice that people from first book were brought in. Cain is the enforcer of the pack and he has to bring back Emily from out of town since someone is attacking females from neighboring pack. Both try to deny their attraction to each other but it seems they are fated mates and can't be denied.

I liked this story I didn't read the first book, but didn't have a problem following, that is until it came to the mad wolf, what happened to him, why was he doing what he was doing, did they give details and I just spaced? That part and only that part left me like something was missing.

This is book two in the Were Chronicles series. Many of the characters are reoccurring and there is a continuing story arc so the are best read in order.

Emily and Cain have been dancing around each other for years. After a heated kiss eight years ago, Cain has let Emily live her life and hasn’t tried to interfere. When female wolves are getting attacked Emily’s Alpha calls her home and sends Cain to get her. As they meet again their feelings for each other return stronger than before and force them to confront what they have both been avoiding.

Cain is an enforcer for his Alpha and father. He’s very dominating and controlling. When he’s around Emily he wants to grab on to her and keep her but at first he thinks she’s too young. Emily was bitten and changed as a child so she doesn’t have any family among her pack. We never learn what became of her family before she was bitten. I would have liked that to have been a little more fleshed out. I did like Cain and Emily as a couple. She is confident and sure of her self which is handy since Cain has alpha tendencies. What I did wonder about is how they became a couple so fast. One minute Cain is helping Emily on her self defense and the next they are rolling around the mats ripping each others clothes off. There isn’t a real discussion about if they wanted to try to make it work, it was more assumed on Cain’s part. Of course that becomes a plot element as well so maybe that’s why it was left vague.

Aside from Cain and Emily there is a side plot dealing with a wolf attacking females. We do reach a conclusion to this plot but we never learn why it happened or what will happen to that wolf. My main complaint with this series is the lack of follow through. There are few explanations as to why things happen and even less conversation between the characters. I would like to feel a connection with the characters more than I want multiple sex scenes. Also a few lines at the end to wrap up the story would be nice as well.

We get to see characters from book one appear in this story as well as get more introduced. With the world building that we are starting to see there are many places for this series to go and character’s to explore.

book 2 installment in "Were Chronicles" series. Cain, the pack enforcer, and Emily, pack member who is off on her own attending college, has had a turbulent past. But it's because of a strong sexual chemistry between the two which makes things difficult as Emily was forcibly made into a shapeshifter as a child and is protected by the pack alpha. As the enforcer it's also Cain's responsibility to protect Emily even if it's from himself.

When a threat to all the female shapeshifters occurs Emily is instructed to return to pack territory to be protected from this new threat. Cain has fought his attraction for Emily for so long but is now unable to resist her when they're forced to be in close proximity for an extended period of time.

Straightforward action-adventure tale that has some heat to it and a little intrigue. While I liked this book and the characters I had a deep down feeling of wishing it would have been more. More in that the back story played up Cain resisting his attraction to Emily. Yet I really didn't understand why things changed NOW. The situation of the two being together is obvious but the step from fighting their feelings to acting on them just didn't feel right or believable.

On the other hand. There were surprises in this story that have made me definitely reading more installments. The secondary characters (who I presume will be featured in future installments) have baggage issues yet not to the point that I can't root for them to find their own mates and want to read about them as they do.

I can't end my thoughts about this book without commenting on the adult content portions. The author does provide what I myself would categorize as new adult category sexual scenes. So for those of you who like to know to what degree the intimacy scenes will go I do want to put it out there that the scenes have enough heat to steam up the windows but not much more.

Someone is attacking female shifters! In order to keep them safe, pack leader Lamont is calling members of his pack back. He’s sending escorts to make sure they arrive safely only in Emily case, her escort is her long time crush, Cain. Cain is son to the Alpha and his head enforce. He’s also had a long time interest in her but has been denying his feelings for a long time…and plans on keeping it that way. However, while being apart for a long time made it easy to resist their feelings, finding themselves back on pack land may be more than their resistance can handle.

I know Pack Enforcer was recently revised and re-released by the author, but I have no clue what the changes entail. Really, it doesn’t matter because this book was great! The feelings Cain has carried for Emily for so long are so sigh worth, and of course, she has felt the same way. Are we going to have sooth sailings for these to shifter? Heck no! We’re going to in a wacko that’s attacking female shifters, excessive amount of overprotective alpha, miscommunication, and some FINALLY requited love. In other words, a great paranormal romance that is going to leave you begging for more. And more you’ll be wanting from this series because there are a whole slew of characters that will have you dying for them to get their story. Can’t wait for Tony’s HEA.

I started reading Crissy Smith early last year and every time she comes out with a new book, I know I have to have them. Unfortunately, I haven’t had time to go back and read her older series so to say I’m happy her Were Chronicles is being re-released would be an understatement. Now I have to patiently wait for each one to come out AGAIN so I can enjoy the series for the first time. YAY!

Another very good story in the Were Chronicles series by Crissy Smith. “Pack Enforcer” is fast-paced, full of action and hot scenes. I enjoy these novellas because they have nice plot and characters easy to like.

In this story, the female werewolves are in danger because a crazy person is attacking them. Now, all the females, have to go back to their packs. Emily must go back to her pack, but she also has to face Cain, the alpha’s son and the love of her life. It’s not easy for her to deal with him because some years ago they shared some moments and then he told her to leave. Of course, he wanted her but he was afraid of hurting her. Now, their emotions are more intense so their life will not be the same again.

Emily is a very kind and gentle person. Although she is a sweetheart, she is also a strong and stubborn woman. Cain is also stubborn and overprotective too. He loves her very much and he becomes crazy thinking of her with other men. I found it wonderful that he wants the best for her and sometimes he prefers to do what she needs firstly and then to look after himself.

I love this series and I will definitely read the next books! So, if you like a fast-paced, hot romance full of alpha werewolves, this story is just what you need!

Pack Enforcer is the second book in the Were Chronicles and focuses on Cain, a pack enforcer, and Emily, a single wolf adopted into Cain's family. The spark had always been there, but Cain had tried to ignore it for years. However, when female wolves are being attacked, they are recalled home. Cain is the one sent to collect Emily, and the sparks fly once again. Their relationship starts, and continues, with a bang! With miscommunication, jealous alphas, plus a killer to find, this book is packed full of action.

The only downside to this book is the quick conclusion of the killer. I loved the other characters that we were introduced to, but the actual result itself seemed over and done with, and was quite anti-climactic. We also don't know WHY he was doing what he was doing.

On the whole, though, this is very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow. Definitely recommended by me, and I look forward to reading more in this series.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

Emily is a college student living a very solitary life away from her Pack until her Alpha calls her home. A number of female shifters from neighboring territories have been attacked and he's sending his son, Cain, to retrieve her for her own safety.

Cain's attraction to Emily was first realized when she was seventeen. At eighteen, he lost control of his instincts for the first and only time and has kept his distance ever since. In his mind he's crossed a line that should never have been crossed.

In her's, she made a strategic pass at the only man she's ever loved and was rejected.

After Emily explains her side of things, Cain does a complete one-eighty. Even to the point of acting like a control freak and overly-possessive jerk.

Okay, maybe not so much a jerk as much as being completely irresistible with his 'you don't want to see me jealous' serious face. And yet, I was ever so slightly disappointed in this one. The sex was lacking a bit. Despite the thrill found from Cain's passionate anger and the emotional turmoil he puts himself through, the story just didn't pack enough of a punch as the first of the series.

Pack Enforcer is Cain and Emily’s story. Emily is studying at college off pack territory and when threats have been made to female pack members of numerous territories, Cain an Enforcer is ordered by his father and Alpha to bring Emily home.

Since Emily joined the pack after a horrific ordeal when she was just twelve, the Alpha and his family have looked out for her. She has loved Cain ever since she can remember and before leaving for college decided to make a move. Although Cain responded he did push her away and broke her heart. She has not seen him since and isn’t happy that she is being told to go back home where she will have to face him.

Being in each other’s company the tension is sky high and these two soon discover are fated to be together.

Another sexy instalment from Ms. Smith, this has humour and passion in abundance for a short book. This does have reference to characters met in the first book, would definitely recommend reading these books in order.

It has been a little while since I read this book. I really enjoy the series and always find every book too short. They are quick paced stories that hook you from the start. Alpha males with sassy gals! Plenty of smexy action to bring a gal's temperature up!!

Cade and Emily are a great pair, loved their bickering. Great dynamic, one of my favorite styles, slit POV, part is from the hero and part from the heroine. This makes the story so much fuller!

Emily has been in love with Cain forever and Cain has resisted his feelings for her since she was too young and too vulnerable in his opinion. At the beginning at the book the two of them are finally mature enough and ready to try having a real adult relationship and it was nice how they each had to change their lives and overcome their hang-ups so that they can be together. A very nice and quick read.

Didn't like this one as much as the first one.
It had huge holes in it...it didn't make sense how or why Cain decided to go after Emily and then he almost killed her because he was jelous, he didn't even asked her about it or let her explain, just went after her. But that's ok because she's a wimp and when he apologized she took him back.
