First book of the year and it did not start out well.

I actually thought they would start having feelings for each other after the brother and boyfriend had died but this was not the case.
IMO there's emotional cheating, because they both felt a connection and attraction for each other when her boyfriend was alive. To be honest she had no business getting pregnant by him if she felt something for his brother.
They both started a relationship 6 years after his death but I felt like they had both pissed on his memory.
I hated it, the hero had no respect for his brother. What kind of person falls in love with his brother's girlfriend? he might have as well spit on his brother's face and grave.
And heroine every time she saw the hero, she was gaga for him, it was sickening. I don't care that they didn't act on their feelings for each other when he was alive but It's still emotional cheating to me. She should have broken up with him in the first place.

“It’s Kyle Westwood – Brant’s older brother.  But I know it’s wrong.  It’s so fucking wrong.  No matter how many times I tell myself that, my body just won’t listen.  Every time I see him, or even think about him, my body has a visceral reaction that I can’t control”

“Every time I consider it for only a second, I feel like I’m betraying Brant in the worst possible way.  I wouldn’t just be moving on, I’d be moving on with his brother.”

You sure are betraying him the worst possible way. At least you're right about that.

It bothered me that even their aunt and everyone thought that it was ok that they fell in love, the aunt even pushed them together. She even dreams of her dead boyfriend telling her that it's ok by him if she's in love with his brother. Then she goes to a psychic and the psychic told her that the hero was her mate. Rolling my eyes here so hard that they went to the back of my head.

No OW drama.

I must warn you, YOU WILL NEED KLEENEX for this beautiful second chance at love story. So make sure you have everything you need with you because once you start reading, you will not want to be disturbed.

Liv's stubbornness is in full affect, trying to deny her attraction to Kyle. In her eyes she should not want to him but unfortunately what the heart wants it wants no matter how hard she tries to deny it.

Kyle has always had a crush on Liv yet he respected that she was taken until she wasn't. When her life went to hell he was there to help her even if it was just a shoulder to lean on. He gave her the space she needed but the time came that he made sure to let he know that he was coming after her and nothing would stop him.

The chemistry between Kyle & Liv was sizzling and when Liv finally decides to give in, BOOM!! Kyle's dirty talking had me fanning myself and needing a cold shower afterwards.

“Now spread your thighs, Liv. Nice and wide, baby. Put your fingers on your cunt. Rub through your folds, but don’t go inside yet. Tell me how wet you are,” he orders.

Ms Millstead knows how to give a story that will tug at our heart and emotions while making us blush and needing some relief. ~Kara, 5 Stars

There's always been something about Kyle that drew Liv in, but she always squashed it, as she and Brant, Kyle's younger brother, were dating, and had been for a few months, when she first meets Kyle. Unfortunately, life has a way of changing, whether it's with a warning or sudden, and it impacts every aspect of your life.

"But everything is different now. Brant's gone, and Kyle's back." - Liv

Time has passed since then, Brant and Liv went on to fall in love and though it was never said at the time, both knew it was leading to forever, while Kyle continued serving his country in the military through multiple tours. But that instant connection, one so different from how Brant made her feel, has always been there, and, the scary part is, Liv knows Kyle feels it too, and has from the beginning.

"Do you feel it?" - Kyle

But remember how I mentioned life can, and does, change? Sometimes it does so in the most horrific of ways, and then soon after you may experience one of the best moments of your life. Which is what happened to Liv six years ago when she lost Brant, only to learn shortly after she was pregnant with their first, and unfortunately, only, child, Matilda. The daughter he never knew about it.

Kyle was honorably discharged shortly after Matilda hit eighteen months, so over the years, Matilda now being five, Kyle and Liv have spent quite a lot of time together. Plus, Matilda adores her uncle, and the feeling is mutual. However, the pull between Kyle and Liv has grown stronger with each encounter, making it increasingly harder to resist acting upon it. Kyle knows Liv will eventually be his, she just needs to accept it.

"I think it's about time you realized that you're the only one fighting the inevitable." - Kyle
"What's the inevitable?" - Liv
"That sooner or later, you're going to be mine." - Brant

For Kyle, though he immediately felt a connection with Liv upon meeting her, she was happily involved with Brant, and Kyle let them be. Though that didn't mean he stopped thinking about her over the years, picturing her face to get him through dangerous times, lonely times. After losing Brant, and leaving the military not too long afterward, Kyle made a decision, an overdue one, at that. Liv was meant to be his, and he would fight for her. He knows Liv feels it too, and always has, and he's positive it has nothing to do with Brant, that she truly wants him for him...he's right.

"I've never been the kind of man to quit, and I'm not going to start now." - Kyle

Liv begins to realize that loving Kyle isn't wrong, that maybe she and Brant were meant to have what they did, and for such a short time, simply for the blessing of creating Matilda, whereas, Kyle, was always fated to be her true soul mate.

One-click now and follow along as two people finally get the chance to explore what they've always known...their love was written in the stars. I would love to see Meg, Liv's friend and co-worker, get her own story, as well as Zeek, Kyle's friend/former teammate, and now business partner.

On a purely personal note, I usually avoid books where one of the main characters has been with someone related to, or close friends with, the other main character. However, in this book, it honestly did not bother me in the slightest, even when we're given past viewpoints, situations where Brant and Liv were dating. I don't know if it's due to the fact they were never intimate scenes, or because the book started with Kyle and Liv, allowing us to see the depth of their feelings for one another, or simply because I knew Kyle and Liv were just meant to be, maybe it's all due to the author's talent, her ability to make the book fully about Kyle and Liv, while allowing us snippets of Brant and Liv. I never felt as if Kyle was second best, or a replacement for Brant. The scenes between Kyle and Liv were written beautifully, allowing the love they felt for one another to shine through. I highly recommend reading this book. I devoured it. Also, for those, like me, with safety concerns, there is no om/ow drama (I don't consider Liv's deceased boyfriend/Kyle's brother, to have created any drama at all), there's no pushing away, they just take things slowly, and there was never any mention of Kyle and any other woman. None. Honestly, it gives the impression that Kyle hadn't been with anyone since meeting Liv, and that was almost seven years ago, granted, I could be looking at it through hopeful eyes, but I don't believe I am. It wasn't long after Kyle met Liv that Brant was killed, and, I know Kyle wasn't with anyone after that, plus, during the time Brant and Liv were together, Kyle was overseas, doing numerous tours. When he was home, he was with his family, which included Liv.

This book gave made me feel all the good feels. A woman’s resolve to live through one of the worst moments of her life and keep going for not only herself but for her child is an amazing thing to see and to read.

That’s what this book showed me because this happens every day. I put myself in Liv’s (the main character) shoes, because this could have been me during my husband’s numerous deployments. Liv pushes through life with the thought of providing for her child with no plans/inclinations to find love.
But, life has a funny way of showing you things and people.

I do enjoy reading this author. This is a military romance in that the lead was once int he army and now trains recruits. Kyle's history is not the most important here. Liv has experienced loss and grief and has tried to keep on living.

I love a single parent story. This once has the wonderful Matilda to entertain us. The rest of the story was a bit choppy of a read for me. More telling me what was happening vs experiencing it. Kyle and Liv have some touching moments. The s3xual tension was through the roof for awhile there! The epilogue may have been my favorite part.
Overall, just an ok read for me. I'll continue to look for more from this author in the future.

Liv has lived the single life since a tragedy occurred several years ago and took away her boyfriend but gave her a daughter. She has always felt something for his brother but always denied it or put it on the backburner because she was looking after her daughter.

Kyle has always felt a connection with Liv but didn't do anything about it because of his brother. But the time has come to move their friendship forward and into a relationship. Kyle is a Marine and he doesn't give up, he just ramps up his efforts when he knows he wants something.

Liv is not given much choice but to go with it and realises that this is what she has been missing.

Ms Millstead has written another book that takes you from the moment you read the first sentence. This book will make you cry, laugh and want to yell at the book.

I was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review - Naughty Book Eden.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, grief, sweet love, passion, and heartbreak.

This is Liv and Kyle’s story. Liv lost her man and is raising his daughter with his family. She has always had feelings for Kyle but she was with his brother. Now years later she is ready to move on but can she really move on with Kyle? After being discharged from the army Kyle is back in his home town helping his Aunt and Liv raise her daughter. He wants more with Liv he has loved her from afar for years. Can he get her to give him a chance? Can they try to have a relationship when if it didn’t work out they would lose the person that has held them together for years? Will loving each other be bad after they both lost someone that they loved?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

Olivia has had a connection with Kyle since she met him all those years ago. Except she was with Brant and they were happy. Until she was left alone as a single mum, raising their daughter, Matilda. With Kyle visiting as often as he was able between military deployments. But loving Kyle is wrong since he's Brants brother.

A truly heart warming, heart breaking and heart wrenching story. This grabbed my emotions and threw them to the wind. I loved Kyle and his persistence and love. I loved that Olivia wouldn't just give in as soon as she lost Brant, that she fought that attraction and stayed true to Brants memory as long as she was able. This story requires a box of tissues and nothing planned for the rest of the day, the night or even the day after.

4.5 Star review of Loving Kyle by Kasey Millstead

The beginning of this story deals with the past relationship between Liv and Brant and how it played such a pivotal role in the future relationship between Liv and Kyle, Brant's brother.

All it takes is one phone call to change the lives of many, such is the case for Liv and Kyle.

Although not a particularly long read, Loving Kyle certainly packed a punch or two. Told from Liv's point of view the story moves from the past to the present and I found it easy to follow whether I was in the past or the present.

Fast forward five years; Liv continues to fight and try to deny her increasing feelings for Kyle. However, Kyle has been patient, encouraged by his Aunt Silly, Liv finally decides to take a chance and follow her heart.

As Liv and Kyle begin to explore their feelings for one another the sparks fly;. their chemistry sizzling. I loved the friendship and respect that they have towards each other and how they are determined to ensure Matilda's happiness at all cost.

I fell hard for Kyle, the strong protector who strives to do right by his family and “brothers”. He melted my heart with the relationship he developed with Liv's daughter Matilda.

I really became invested in all of the characters; not only Liv and Kyle but also Aunt Silly and Matilda. They all deserved to find happiness.

Sweet, Solid Romance

Kasey Millstead couldn't have given her readers a better book than Loving Kyle. It's one of those pallet refreshing books, perfect for when your stumped for something to read. Short and to the point, it really hit the spot.

While the blurb pretty much says it all, the story is in the details. Right out of the gate it seemed like we were going to get a sticky situation with Kyle and Olivia and I couldn't wait to see how it was going to play out.

The book is well written from dual points of view, going present to past, so we don't miss a detail. I instantly liked both characters, as well as the handful of supporting characters to bring the story of Liv and Kyle to life. Excellent read!

I absolutely adored this book!
This is Kasey Millstead's first military romance and I think she nailed it!
This is Kyle and Liv's story and it unfortunately starts with a tragedy. Ever since Liv started getting to know Brant and his family, which consisted of his brother Kyle and his Aunt Celia, she had a deep connection with Kyle. She denied this connection as she was in a relationship and loved Brant.
After tragedy strikes, Kyle is honourably discharged from the Army and is the rock that helps Liv wade through the waters of grief and being a single Mum.
I loved that you get both sides of the story from the past and the present. It's not hard to follow along and you really get to know all the characters involved.
I'm really hoping we get to see more from the characters, especially Kyle's "brothers in arms".

I thoroughly enjoyed loving Kyle! I especially loved Liv, what she experiences, her loves, her sadness but also the uplifting moments too!
The friendships in Liv's story were beautiful and I really felt for her in the good as well as bad times!
Kyle....what a wonderful caring man, his heart, his bond with his army mates was just beautiful to read about!
I really loved the way the story went and I especially loved how it ended! I sighed at the end!!! Feeling rather happy!!

First of all I have to say that I am not fond of military guys for political reasons but that´s me and I try to be objective when I read a book, having said that Loving Kyle by Kasey Millstead is a cute, romantic book about love, family, an horrible tragedy and friendship, Olivia (Liv) and Kyle are a couple who are related in some way, I won´t say how but don´t worry it´s nothing bad and well there you have a story.

This book have it all: love, sex, romance but for me it took a while to catch me, maybe I am biased for what I said earlier but the story doesn´t unfold until you have read almost half a book. It´s kind of slow for me because the story is told by two points of views, both Liv´s and Kyle´s and it´s told back and forth between the past and the present days and the action really start a little late for my taste but hey! That´s me! I´m sure you will love it! The sex was good tho.

If you are into tall, handsome miltary guys (I understand there´s a lot of fantasies about them) this is a book for you, unfortunately it wasn´t a book for me.

I Adored this book. The author has done an outstanding job of telling a story of both past and current times that lead you on one heck of a ride in the route of loving Kyle.

But then what's not to love. Kyle is x-army, (5 tours in Afghanistan), a tall, muscular sexy man who has a soft spot for others, is awesome with kids and loves Skittles. He also happens to be head over heels about Liv and her daughter. Liv is a single mother who lives day to day for her daughter. Her daughter whose father was killed in a car wreck before she was born. Now Liv is trying to be the best mom she can be and that means fighting her feelings for Kyle. They are both determined, him to get his girl, her to fight her growing feelings.

The book is both emotionally heart wrenching and flirty fun. It will make your heartbreak at times and giddy others. Kudos to the author for pulling it all together in one very romantic story. I highly recommend reading Loving Kyle and I dare you not to fall in love with this cast of characters. I know I sure did! Two Thumbs Up!

ARC reader.

Wow! What can I say, this book was just soooo fantastic, I couldn't put it down and I read it in just over 2 hours.

What's not to love about this book it has a very strong female character that goes through a tragic at the beginning of the book with the death of her boyfriend. Olivia then has to raise her daughter by herself without the father around to help. Plus it has a HOT ex-military male character. Kyle gets an honourable discharge after 5 tours in Afghanistan.

The strong connection between Kyle and Liv is mentioned early on in the book but unfortunately Liv feels guilty for having feelings for Kyle when she also has feelings for Brant. But as Mrs Westwood says 'Loving Kyle wasn’t something that happened easily, but like my new husband said in his vows, nothing worth having ever is.'

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, and highly recommend it to anyone that likes Military Romance reads, plus anyone who just likes reading Romance.

This was a beautiful, slow burn story which was really quick and easy to read. While normally I do prefer a good dose of angst in my reads, I forget how nice it is to read something that doesn't challenge me but instead refreshes me.
For Kasey's first attempt at a military romance I think she has written a really great balance between the love story and the military story line which I found really interesting. I always like knowing what a character has been through in their past, so I really loved those past chapters from both of the characters POV's.

What a refreshing storyline to read in today’s market. This is a story about moving on, being open to the possibility of new love
and accepting change into your life.
Olivia was young when one day her life changed forever. It was a no going back kind of change. But, she has made the most of her life
and can honestly say she is happy & has no regrets.

Kyle was also affected the day Liv’s life changed and has always played a pivitol part in her life up until now. Now things are going to change again.
What I really love is that once these characters make any decisions they run with it & see it through. There is no half baked effort involved at all.

Kyle & Liv are obviously the main characters but there Is a support character, Celia, who I feel is just as much of an important part of the story.
She is Kyles Aunt but really is almost more like a mother figure to both Kyle & Liv. She really is the one person who’s opinion matters to them both.

This is one of those books that can make you cry but also make you laugh just as fast. It seriously has all the feels as well as that feel good vibe to it.
The sex scenes are off the charts and the entire story flows effortlessly. Kyle and Liv’s love is new enough to survive the times but timeless enough to
whether the changes. Theirs is really the love of a lifetime.
The feelings are real, the emotion if real and the journey is unforgettable.

I absolutely adored this latest release by Kasey Millstead. She has shown she has both the talent and the diversity to bring us a love story that is not only
very different to her other works but is also something a bit different to everything else on the market at the moment. It is what makes this book a standout
of 2017 for me.

Loving Kyle was an uplifting, passionate story about finding love where you least expect it.

Liv is a single mom. She's been single since her boyfriend died, leaning on his family after he was gone. She's close with his Aunt, and his brother, is just...there. She's conflicted about right and wrong, and always wants her daughter to be number 1.

Kyle is sweet and patient. He's strong and kind. It was so easy to fall in love with him and you have to admire Liv's resilience in resisting him.

This book was written beautifully and paced well. The characters are complex and have flaws. It's an engaging story and I loved every moment of it!

This was a book that was easy to read no big drama and still there are no big gaps where you are waiting for something to happen. Loving Kyle was a great quick easy read in which I couldn't put down. At the start of the book we are introduced to Liv who was in a relationship with Brant and she is waiting for him to come home with a surprise when Kyle rings with some bad news. We skip five years and we get to find out about Liv relationship with Kyle is changing. And we see them falling for each other even though there was always a underlying attraction there. He is sweet Alpha caring all in one I think I need to find myself a Kyle. While the story flowed I would have like some more depth into the relationship between Brant and Liv I would have like to read how their relationship started and continued. Also would have liked to read more in the five year gap the interaction between Liv and Kyle to see how they fell in love and read Matilda moments growing up. I loved Matilda such a sweet young girl. Such a good read couldn't put it down only a couple of little things I would have liked only because I fell for the characters

With just finding out Liv is pregnant she decides to make brant his favourite meal to celebrate but while waiting for him to come home she starting to get worried because he's late but soon finds out he's been in an accident and he didn't make it now facing a future raising a child alone

Kyle felt an attraction as soon as he set eyes on her but he could never pursue anything because Liv was with his brother but after the accident he started to develop more and more feelings for her would he be able to be with her only time will tell x
