Cute cute book! I loved the connection between the dog and how the author uses “ruff” in place of love. So fun!

However, I deducted one star because I think teaching kids actual words is really important. For example, saying “bottle” instead of “baba.”

But then I have to remind myself to not take things so seriously and reading a book that says “ruff” instead of “love” once in a while is totally fine. Hahaha.

I read this to my cousin’s twin daughters while waiting to be called for our table at dimsum. I love each page, the colors, and especially the text. Rhymes aside, it’s choc full of a loving, affirming message.
