Words can't describe how incredibly emotional and amazing this novel was to read. The elements of gain and loss from the narrator were so profound, and made me weep quite a bit. Even if you never thought about reading a novel about the Civil War, I highly, HIGHLY recommend this book. It is a true work of art!💙
An interesting book from start to finish that really needed a proofreader. There were a large number of errors which did not, in my opinion, detract from the overall enjoyment I found in this story. Historians and Civil War buffs will enjoy it!
Quite boring. Each chapter deals with a different battle but is just a rehash of the previous with main character relishing killing. Poor editing as full of spelling, grammar errors; their for there, site for sight, barron for barren, distracts from flow. Gave up on it.
