Juggling her zany schedule like a cat herding guru, Nika spends half her time at the hockey rink, the other half trying to remember where she put her tea. Nika lives in Ontario with her family, and dreams of converting her office into a library so she can spend her days trapped between her two addictions - romantic suspense and sci-fi.

When she isn't overrun by the plot bunnies, Nika works as project manager and graphic designer. Her loves include road trips, cheesy action movies, summers on Georgian Bay, and cheesecake (although not necessarily in that order).

I really enjoy this author’s fan fiction so I thought surely I will enjoy her original work. While the story was not bad, there was nothing to make it anymore than just an average romance. There were so many elements that were romance cliche. Casey has been in love with Jackson all her life. Jackson has never noticed her romantically and misunderstandings keep him from realizing just what kind of person Casey really is. A deadly situation throws them together and makes them realize how much they have misjudged and how much they care. Casey is ready to sacrifice herself to keep everyone safe. Jackson is there to save the day and you can guess how it all goes from there.
