Abstract Digital Art: An Exercise in Contemporary Magic

Rate this book
This little coffee table eBook of 21 full colour "plates", and some short essays, is a poetic homage to a philosophy that I call Idealistic Materialism -- which stands in contrast to the modern malaise that I call Nihilistic Materialism.

Abstract art is the tool that we will use to play with our perceptions and rediscover the fundamental ground of existence, which is unmoving, unchanging, timeless being and its divine radiance; the world that we see around us.

Abstract art helps to break down the habit of solidifying our perceptions into a leaden world of frozen objects. Take any of the abstract images in this book. They look like they could be a tableau of solid objects. Look closely, however, and you can find nothing that is recognizable. They are something like alien worlds. We are forced to accept the patterns as what they truly are, themselves, and nothing but themselves.

Right here, right now, right under our nose lies a magical world, a pure land, a paradise. It only goes unrecognized because we are seeing it through filters that have been created through dark eons of self-centered conditioning.

Don't let the small size of this little book fool you. It is packed with magic words and images of power. It is an exercise in contemporary magic
