A good, illustrated book with much information. Unfortunately it also has a chip on its authors shoulders.
The forward explains how everyone was first exposed to the Japanese side of World War II with the book "Samurai." It then goes onto to poke holes in two stories contained with the book. And because of the two exaggerations it deems "Samurai" inaccurate.

Once past the bile, the book as I said is informative with many photos, intelligence communiques, maps et cetera.

Both books have their place if you are interested in WWII air combat in the Pacific.
