I was a rule breaker, bad to the bone; someone who loved the thrill of danger.
One night of fun was never meant to go that far but desire always has a habit of taking over. It wasn’t meant to destroy us or his brotherly bond in the process.
I never regret the past but now I wish I could change it all, been a good boy and kept my best friend just as that, a friend. But it was too late, I'd tasted the forbidden and I wanted what I couldn't have. Him.
Can I finally be the good guy and live my new life alone without my best friend? Or will my rule breaking ways come back full force and have him back on his knees in no time at all–damn the consequences?

𝑨𝑳𝑪 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 My first MM ALC, with duet narration! Wow. This was a quick, fast-paced story with a HEA. It’s book 3 in The North Avenue Live Guys series and follows the same world as the previous books, but can be read as a standalone — which is what I did.
This was light-hearted and enjoyable to read in one sitting. BTRWT sets the premise that the events have been a long time coming, and you can understand the emotional pull each MC has for the other. Travis is your stereotypical bad boy, though he finds himself questioning whether his ways are still right for him as he tiptoes around a possible new friends-to-lovers dynamic.
The VAs really helped bring this one to life and were equally entertaining and immersive. A great addition to your read count if you’re looking for something quick, friends-to-lovers, and MM romance!
Thank you for the ALC @bluenosesudio @sophianixsauthor and the narrators: @jamesonadamsnarrates #NathanKelly
This is the third book in the series where we get to see best friends. There are characters from the prior books, but it's still enjoyable without prior knowledge of the series.
The story starts after the incident with Travis and Gaz. They have been best friends for years and have also secretly had feelings for each other. They finally have an encounter but are caught, causing Travis to lose everything, Gaz included. Travis gets an opportunity to start fresh in Manhattan from Anthony and Hardin.
Gaz decided not to go with Travis and ask for space. They're separated for a few weeks with no contact. Both men are of course depressed and confused. When they finally reconnect sparks freaking fly!
Unfortunately, Travis has a secret that could end everything right as it's starting. How will Travis tell Gaz? How will Gaz take the news? Will their relationship survive?

Story Vibes: Another, fun, quick listen! Book 3 in 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘆𝘀 series, 𝚂𝚘𝚙𝚑𝚒𝚊 𝙽𝚒𝚡𝚜 creates another story filled with the perfect blend of spice & emotions. It's a beautifully chiseled friends to lovers story that captivated me instantly!
Narration Vibes: 𝑁𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝐾𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑦 & 𝐽𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑠𝑜𝑛 𝐴𝑑𝑎𝑚𝑠 are both new to me, but I am absolutely looking forward to listening to more from them! They nailed the emotional moments, they nailed the spicy moments and they absolutely did a phenomenal job with bringing these characters to life!
Overall Vibes If you are looking for a palette cleansing listen, you won't want to miss this. The vibes of secrets and pining for each other are strong. Definitely going to be one I revisit again!
*ALC review* 3.5 stars. This was my 1st story by this author, and overall, it was a nice story. Travis and Gaz are best friends who want to be more, but Travis has a secret that could tear them apart. This story had more ups and downs than I expected from a novella, but ultimately, these two found their HEA. Both Nathan Kelly and Jameson Adams are "new-to-me" narrators, and I thought they did a good job with this story. I do wish that there was a bit more emotion in some of the narration (sometimes I just wasn't feeling the angst), but overall, I was pleased with their performances.
Quite an enjoyable listen of a Friends to Lovers MM Romance about Two friends in love pining for the other secretly when one decides to break all the rules! A chuk it moment I believe!

This is Gaz and Travis Story
Sweet and sexy MM Novella
Two best friends Travis and Gaz who have been best buddies for years, but both wanted more than just being best friends. Yet neither were ready to admit or make a move on their feelings for each other. Both feared losing the other if they should take their friendship to the next level.
Travis Moving to Manhattan asked Gaz to come with him which he declines, it nearly tore Travis apart because leaving Gaz was incredibly unbearable for him. But Gaz is also feeling the ramifications of turning down Travis’s offer, he too is feeling gutted at Travis’s absence, he just can’t imagine being apart from him any longer.
But… Little did Gaz know that Travis and His Brother Callum is keeping a secret..one that happen after a drunken foolish night years ago, one that could cost both of them from becoming more than just best friends and shattering their current relationship. The guilt kept weighing Travis down… ever since he realizes Callum’s and Gaz connection it’s all he can think of.
If what happened is revealed Callum lose his brother and would Travis lose his Best friend and love of his life plus the chance of them ever becoming more than friends?…
What will Gaz Reaction be when he find out this secret they both have decidedly kept from him? Could Gaz ever forgive the man his best friend a man he wanted more than anything for a sometime now, Or will the romantic side of him forgive and decide upon breaking all the rules with Travis and consequences be damn?
Both Narrators did a fantastic job on this short best Friends to lovers MM romance. Their range of emotions and storytelling gave the characters more depth. I absolutely love their portrayal of each character’s immensely. My first experience listening to Nathan Kelly & Jameson Adams and I truly enjoyed their talented performances. Definitely will be stalking audiobooks they narrate!
The story was short and sweet showing the vulnerability between the two best friends as they transition from friendship to lovers with the support of good friends guiding them through their first speed bump to their happily ever after! My first book by this author and it was an enjoyable novella!

And thank you all for reading my review and ratings on this little Novella, hope to catch you next time my audiobook friends!
Travis and Gaz are best friends who let things get out of hand one time and now they have to make some major decisions. But Gaz would prefer to pretend he lost a friend rather than swallow his pride and admit the truth of how he felt. Travis has always known what he wants and asked Gaz to move to Manhattan with him. Gaz isn’t ready to make that choice, whether in fear of losing their friendship or not ready to deal with life changes like that. And even worse, he won’t talk about it with Travis, especially since Travis lost his job over that incident. Gaz had asked him to move in with him and Callum, but he stubbornly refuses… and Gaz knew there was something else keeping him from accepting. But he had asked Travis for “space” that night, and that is exactly what he has now as Travis walked away.
What Gaz doesn’t know is that things are further complicated by the fact that in the past, Travis and Gaz’s brother Callum had a brief drunken one-night-stand. At the time, Travis didn’t know this was Gaz’s brother but decided not tell Gaz once he found out, despite how guilty he felt. So that secret could blow up when the truth comes out. Will they risk losing their friendship? Will it cause trouble between the brothers? Or can Travis convince Gaz that they are right for each other and can have a future together?
🎧Audiobook Review🎧 This enjoyable series continues. Breaking Rules with Travis, book three of The North Avenue Live Guys Series by Sophia Nixs. Travis and Gaz have been best friends since forever. Their relationship takes a turn with a spicy encounter between the two of them. Both are wanting more, yet both are hesitant to pursue each other.
Travis scared, alone and vulnerable accepts an opportunity to work in Manhattan with Hardin and Anthony (book two) at North Avenue Live, a position too good to refuse. Moving him away from his best friend.
Missing Travis terribly, Gaz, with a little nudge from his brother Callum, makes a decision. Can these best mates break the rules and remember life is for living and get past this hiccup and run towards, instead of away from each other?!
New to me voice actors, Jameson Adams as Travis, and Nathan Kelly as Gaz portrayed the characters’ struggles and emotions with ease. I particularly liked how at Jameson and Nathan portray the raw, vulnerable, sweet and seductive nature of the guys.
Thank you Sophia for another enjoyable addition to this sweet series.
Thank you to Blue Nose for an Advanced Listener Copy for my honest review.
I read the two previous books in this series and quite liked them. But this one, no, I had to push myself to finish it. The reason - the two main characters: Travis makes a mistake and the consequences are that he is moving away from Gaz. He is trying to make Gaz see that there could be future for them but Gaz is just too afraid and pushes him aside. When Gaz's brother intervenes and engineers something Gaz stops any interaction with Travis who has no idea what is going on. He still takes him back but as soon as Gaz overhears something he shouldn't, he runs again.
Gaz for me is not putting any effort in, he just hopes that all will be forgiven all the time. Travis - sorry, if someone is not listening again and again, why did he take him back again and again.
Another issue with this story - absolute no background. There is no character development, no back story about these. yes, it's a novella but I would still have loved a bit more. Even with reading the two previous books I was kind of lost with these two.

Travis and Gaz have been best friends for years, and recently things went a bit further between them. Things have been tense and both fear losing their best friend if the relationship doesn’t work out if they move to the next level. A drunken one night hookup years ago with Collin, Gaz’s brother, has Travis weighed down with guilt that they never told Gaz about it once he realized how Callum was related to Gaz. Callum also worries since it has been hidden so long. What will be Gaz’s reaction be when he finds out, and will the consequences be for one man to lose a brother and the other to lose the love of his life? Only time will tell once the secret comes out, as they always do. Two lovable characters that draw you in to the eventual conflict, as well as side appearances from some of the characters from the first two North Avenue Live Guys series. I expect we will see Gav and Travis again in future books in the series. Not a long read but a satisfying one. Give it 4.5 stars.

I’ve been enjoying this novella series by Sophia Nix. A found family if there ever was one that will do just about anything for each other.
Travis and Gaz are best friends who had a moment that has sent them spiralling into the questions of whether it will ruin everything, or could it be more. But of course, without really talking it through, undisclosed feelings and fears lead to uncertainty.
Travis tries and even asks Gaz to move to NY with him, but Gaz is paralyzed by indecision.
Gaz’s default is running away and hiding. But thankful Travis doesn’t give up easily and knows how to woo a man!
There are a lot of characters in this series, and for some reason, in this story, I felt a little overwhelmed by trying to keep track. I do recommend reading them in order so you can understand them all.
This is book 3 in the North Avenue Live Guys series. I haven’t read the first two, but I’d definitely call this an interconnected standalone. I never felt lost or like I was missing key plot points. It’s a quick, sexy read that follows best friends Travis and Gaz as they navigate the start of a possible romance—or maybe the beginning of the end. Travis is known for being a bit of a player, while Gaz is more of the sweet, steady type, which makes their connection all the more interesting. But Travis is holding onto a secret that could derail everything.
If you’re a fan of friends-to-lovers and MM romance, this one is worth a listen.
This was my first time hearing both Nathan Kelley and Jameson Adams, and they each brought something unique to the table. Their voices really gave life and depth to the characters, and I loved the energy they brought to the story. After finishing this, I’m definitely curious to check out the first two books in the series.
Travis and Gaz have been best friends for a long time, but when a moment together made them question their closeness as friends, they had to decide if they wanted to turn their friendship into something more.
I liked this book. I am really into the friends to lovers trope, so this book was right up my alley. I enjoyed the push and pull that they seemed to have going on. The British words sprinkled in this book kinda threw me out of the story a few times, especially since the setting was the US and there was nothing stated that they were from the UK. The MC’s had a good chemistry together and once they worked out their issues, they were really sweet together. All in all a good book.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved Breaking Rules with Travis The North Avenue Live Guys Series. Travis’s life is in chaos. He and his best friend went a little to far and now Travis lost his job and has to move. Worst part is his friendship is in turmoil. Does Gaz regret what happened with Travis? They both seem to want a real together but there is still a big secret that will have to come to light if Travis wants a true future with Gaz. Will Gaz be able to forgive Travis? This is a sweet story and I love the characters. I love the boys if The North Avenue Live Guys. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Story - ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Spice - 🌶🌶 Narration - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Breaking Rules with Travis is book #3 (novella) in The North Avenue Live Guys series. Travis has a broken relationship with his best friend, Gaz. Both are hurting and Travis is moving to Manhattan for a new job. Just when it looks like things might be working out, a secret is revealed that might destroy their future together. This friends-to-lovers, MM romance is a standalone, but lots of characters from the previous works are involved. Really enjoying this series!
The dual narration was perfection. Jameson Adams is perfect as bad boy Travis and Nathan Kelly delivers us the emotional Gaz! 5/5 stars!!
Another short and steamy read from Sophia Nixs! This time we have best friends, Travis and Gaz who are crazy for each other, but yet can't seem to tell each other. There was that fear that they would lose the friendship if they moved forward. The will-they-won't-they created tension without the characters being whiny. Of course Travis and Gaz get together, but there is definitely some drama before they get their HEA.
Jameson Adams and Nathan Kelly are great in the audio. Both are new-to-me narrators, but I really enjoyed their work! I'm looking forward to listening to them again. Thanks to Blue Nose for the chance to listen and review!
Travis was moving to Manhattan to work for Anthony and Harden after Travis and Gaz were caught doing something and Travis was fired. Gaz wouldn’t move with him but when his brother got a job there he moved with Callum, they were talking again until he found out that Callum and Travis had spent an hour together. Travis didn’t know who Callum was but Travis got sick then but then Travis did something out of his comfort zone to convince Gaz that he mean that Gaz was his. Good book!.

This is a fun, sexy, easy novella to read, especially if you like friends to lovers and MM romance. The loss of stars is because the author clearly isn’t from America and the mix of the languages is a struggle for me to read. I read many non-American authors, but if the setting of the book is in America with American characters then the language needs to be American as well. There were a few things in the beginning especially that annoyed me, things that can easily be fixed by finding an American beta reader or editor. But overall great storyline!
They are best friends, always with each other. Travis is known to be a playboy; Gaz is a sweetheart. When feeling heat up and thing start to ignite, and emotions become confused.
Travis and Gaz are a wonderful couple together. Their connection as friends is the perfect bases for their relationship, but will the secret Travis is holding knock them off?
Passion and heart tugging romance that I did not want to put down.

This is the third novella in the interconnected series and it was the one that held my attention the best. Gaz and Travis's story had some drama and miscommunication and when the past came out there was some conflict. The conflict was easily solved and it left me feeling satisfied with their story. If you are looking for deep stories, this isn't the series for you but if you like short, sweet MM books, this will hit the spot. 4 stars from me.
The narration was great and I really felt like the characters came to life for me. 5 stars
This was a great book. Travis and Gaz had one night together years ago but now, they are brought back together. Travis and Gaz have to figure out if the night they had was just a one time thing or if their feelings are real and they can be together. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to more from Sophia Nixs.

Travis and Gaz have been best friends, and who have a sexual encounter at a wedding. This puts their friendship in a tailspin, Travis is ready to take it further but Gaz needs more time. Travis is moving to Manhattan and tries to get him go with him.
Gaz and his brother, Callum, eventually follow him to NY. Travis has a secret that could blow the fragile relationship out of the water.

A best friends to lovers novella. We are given a glimpse of something that happened between them during a party that Travis was working at which ended up in a bit of a mess. This is why Travis is leaving, starting fresh in a new city with a new job. But leaving Gaz, his best friend, especially whilst their friendship is strained is causing a lot of pain. This story ends as a HFN but only because they had a blip and they are both just starting a new life in a new city.
This is my first attempt at anything by this author. I had gotten this free somewhere, and in retrospect, it was perhaps a weird choice for them to give away the third book in the series. I don’t know how much of my being lost is because of what happened in those first two books or because of the author’s writing. Ultimately it doesn’t matter. My issues had more to do with the heavy, unearned angst than anything else. These people were dialed up to 11 and I never quite figured out why.
Travis and Gaz are two best friends who need to jump in and figure out what is most important. Swallowing their pride after an encounter and hidden secrets keep them from apart. Who will make the plunge and can they withstand it. This novella is book 3, and I realized loved their story. Nathan Kelly & Jameson Adams are fantastic voice actors and brought out every agonizing and complicated emotion of Travis and Gaz. I enjoyed listening to them so much!
I enjoyed the previous books in this shared world but this one I did struggle with.....has the same angsty/pining between the MC's and is a novella length story.... but the story didn't flow as well. There is chemistry between them but at the same time, it felt like they were going through the motions.....had no depth.....
Gaz and Travis have been best friends for years. Both want more but are afraid. Things take a heated turn one night and now both are running away from their feelings. Sweet, steamy romance with amazing chemistry, true love and friendship, secrets and misunderstandings to overcome and a beautiful HEA.

DNF @ 11% I got this as a freebie at some point and thought I'd try it even if it's in the middle of a series, but there was just too many things I didn't understand, like why them getting caught in the act meant Travis losing his job and all his friends, or why moving "to Manhattan" (from where?) was such a big deal.
