Suzana has lost all she held dear--her family dead at sea, she, a musical mage of noble birth, has been taken by slavers. Alone and bereft, she can do nothing but mourn. But then the traders' caravan is overtaken in the Dark Forest by the mysterious raedjour who are determined to take the one thing she still calls her own: her body.
Suzana's capture is cause for celebration amongst the raedjour--virgins are highly prized, and a tournament is held for the honor of taking her maidenhead. And once it is taken, she will be passed to a different warrior every nine days until she finds her truemate.
From the moment he saw her, Krael knew Suzana was his to conquer. Her soft body incites the lust he's honed over many cycles to pleasure and train women. He'll have her body, yes, but he has no interest in being her truemate. Until another, Krael's king, is determined to take her, then Krael grows determined to master her for his very own.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be used, pleasured. Mastered?

Jet is a writer of sexual fantasy with a firm belief that all men are at least partially gay, that vampires are just people with a liquid diet and shapeshifters live on every block.
Suzana, a virgin slave, has been rescued and brought to the Dark Elves. Female virgins are a rare find so a competition is held to determine who will be honored with deflowering her. Nine days of unlimited pleasure until Suzana is passed on to the next lover. Or until she finds her true mate.
Suzana was little too docile for my tastes, but I loved the hot sex she received from Krael. This couple was a refreshing change from the couples in Taken. I love the continued variety that Jet Mykles provides.
I truly enjoyed this book, I really did. The scenes were hot and steamy as to be expected from a Jet Mykles book, and she makes every scene memorable. I liked catching up with the characters we met in the first book, as well as reading about the new characters that were introduced. So overall, I highly recommend this book.
The only thing I did not like, and why I took away a star, was the scenes with the whip and flogger. I walk a fine line with BDSM, and for the most part this series so far is pretty light with it. But getting whipped? Sorry, that's an aspect I can happily do without. It took away the steaminess brought on by the first half of the book and left me cold.
This book was laughably bad. It is virgin conquering porn to the extreme. Suzana is currently a slave in the process of being sold. Her complete background is never fully explained but she lost her family at sea and was once considered royalty. The dark elves intercept the cavern that she is in and kidnap her and the rest of the women. One dark elf in particular, Karel, is immediately attracted to her. Among their people female virgins are such a rarity that a special celebration is held to determine who will have them first.
This entire book emphasizes the sexual antics between Suzana and Karel. Although she is treated like a sex toy by him, it is considered okay because she is attracted to him. This innate attraction to him turns into absolute submission very quickly to the point that she is willing to do pretty much anything to be with him.
The book suffers from too much sex and not enough plot. Although a lot of sex is expected in erotica books, this book needed much stronger character development. I like the dark elf society but there is very little new information added with each book, in comparison to the constant sex scenes that sadly grow boring due to their frequency.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be used, pleasured? Mastered?
I loved this one maybe even more so than the first book Dark Elves I: Taken. Being a virgin Suzana is highly prized by the raedjour and will be giving to the winner of a tournament, she will spend nine days with the man who wins then will be passed to a different warrior until she finds her truemate. I don’t know how or what but it feels like this book had something more than the last.. I loved seeing characters from the first book. Also I am interested to see what happens with this raedjour “king”.. I look forward to the next book.
really loved it. At the end my heart was pounding in my chest, it was brilliant. Can't wait to read next one. Jet Mykles your writing is just the right sort of raunchy that i love, with an edge of danger to it, it sure gives you a wild ride.
While I would be first to admit my forays into the world of written erotica are limited, it should also be noted that I carry expectations of the things I devote my time to reading. All things aside, I think it is worth saying the author is good at cajoling the mind's eye into a pleasing sense of erotic satisfaction for the intimate scenes alone. Everything beyond that fell to bits in this book.
The first book in this series and I got on well enough (Taken), albeit it did seem abruptly ended and unfinished. This book, however, felt like a meandering journey to an unsatisfying ending. Very little new information is introduced to the reader in this entry to need to carry into the next book. The only semblance of belonging to a series outside those scant facts the writer does provide, is the return of familiar faces from the first book. The main character is a waif-like, perfect creation who's only role is to establish the status of virgins in the Raedjour society and give Krael something to go through character development for (and to have lots of sex with, of course). When she does actually help serve as a plot device in her own right, the portion of the book devoted to such is finished quickly and leaves you disappointed.
I'd read reviews of this series and the books individually before starting and had a laugh at the reviews claiming "there's far too little plot," or "it's all just sex." I assumed these were people who were perhaps as unfamiliar with erotica as I was, if not more. Little did I know they were painfully right on this volume. All sex, no content. Thankfully, the author seems to remedy this in the next volume (Salvation), it's the best of the series to that point.
Am I becoming jaded? I was slightly bored with the sex scenes and this book was full of them. I should think about this, it may be a sign of trouble ahead for future erotica books. Hmmm....
Suzana's family all died in a shipwreck except her and instead of feeling safe when she's rescued, she's smacked with a chastity belt and about to be sold into slavery. As the caravan she's in stops for a potty break, Krael and his band of not so merry warriors descends on them and takes not only all of the women slaves but the men slaves too, because why waste a perfectly fine hole. There's no sex scenes between the men in this book but it's alluded to that it's very common among these menfolk. Krael wins the right to bed the virgin and they fall in love after she lets him whip her. Me, I'd cry, "Please stop, why are you doing this, it hurts!" She tells him she loves it. Que sera, sera I guess. There's a happy ever after in this book, but toward the end I just couldn't wait to finish the book. What is the matter with me? I usually like this author's books. So, you should probably ignore this review.
Mastered stars Suzana, a woman captured by the raedjour (dark elves) when they hijack a caravan of slavers. She is quickly noted as valuable among their race because she is a virgin. Krael, the sexy raedjour, realizes she is something he desires greatly. He is determined to get and keep her for his own.
Overall, I liked the interaction between the two of them and found Krael one sexy elf and enjoyed how the book ended. I also like that they retouch on previous characters and it seems to flow well among the storyline. In this one they also introduce mysteries clouding around their King and his unusual companions and actions. Very intriguing.
Ok, it took me a while to finish this one, but I can tell that it does have a few hard red scenes, and I mean of those that one goes saying yummy yummy and lucky b*tch. Even though asthe other book of th saga, is really shortfor my taste ... Even though It took me a lot of time to finsh it. Ahhh, i can't yet describe the right feeling I get while reading a book that has images in it, the last time I did were fairy tales, and now..... Believe me whe I say that this drawings are absolutely NOT allowed to any person under 18 years old. Also the author leave a few scenes , totally picture worth, without one!!!!
The sex is this book was not as hot as the first book. I really wanted to learn more about Diana and Gala and not necessarily read about a new couple. At least they showed up for a bit. I am intrigued about the King and what he's done to his women but I'm not excited about reading the next book. It'll be a while before I get around to it.
I thought Suzana was a bit too submissive and easy-go-lucky here. I didn't feel really connected to her or Krael.
More hotness in this second visit to the Dark Elves! great tension between little sweet virgin Suza and her fierce warrior Krael... delicious! mind you, she doesn't stay a virgin for very long in this world lol!
loved the threesomes in this book, they were hot hot hottest!
Meh. It was okay. I enjoyed the first book enough to try the second, but I won't be trying the third. The sex is good and interesting (though I *really* don't like the use of a whip in this one...) but I keep hoping for some sort of stable storyline outside of the sex.
Erotic porny fun as we return to the world of the Dark Elves. Slave girls, alpha masters and virgins to plunder. Lots of sex and a bit forgettable when it comes to characters.
The story of Suzana and Krael. I liked this but I prefer the first book. Suzana was a little too sweet, innocent and compliant to be that interesting. There was no push/pull. The best bit was the opening chapter with Diana and Salin and their threesome. Holy moly!
And I am really not sure about the cover. That elf doesn’t quite do it for me.
I knew what the outcome would be but it still made my heart beat with fear as I got to the end! I definitely liked this couple way more than Diana and Salin.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that Mastered was as good, if not better, than book one in this series. Sometimes that isn't the case and you end up being disappointed in subsequent books in a series. Although since this is a Jet Mykles series I suppose I shouldn't be surprised since her writing is always really good! And, you get good interaction with characters from book one so it feels familiar and like family.
Suzana has been captured by slave traders and is being transported to market when she is rescued/kidnapped by the raedjour (dark elves). Suzana has even higher value than other human women as she is a virgin. Krael, second to the commander, wins the battle for the right to be her first nine days. Unfortunately, the king has also noticed her. Krael and the sorcerers know they can't let the king have Suzana. Because, well, he's completely insane and tends to destroy his women after a few months. Somehow in the nine days they have together Suzana and Krael become truemates which means the king can not touch her.
This was a good story in the series and makes me anxious to continue on.
3.5 Suzana is captured/saved by the dark elves when they stole her from the caravan loaded with other slaves heading for market. This turned out to be a gold mine for the dark elves. ...Suzana was a virgin. Apparently virgins are very rare and Rhea the goddess gave them a spell to use to share her pleasure of her first.
If you've read the first book then you know what is in store for Suzana. She lost her family, her home, her freedom and now this. Her virginity is all she has left and she won't let the take it or give it to just anyone. There is a fight for her virginity. The winner.... You'll see. Also the rahjer (sp?) ,like their king their supreme leader, has his eye on Suzana. He is not right mentally anymore and has this habit of using, abusing and killing the females he wants.
Yep that about sums it up. Other than that you can look forward to plenty of sex, bondage, flogger scene, whip scene, and a quick m/f/m scene. Plus Domination and her submission. Besides we also get a scene from diana, salin, and gala from the first book.
Good book - don't let the title scare you off. The characters are likeable and story good.
From book three/four onwards in this series the action/story arc picks up and it gets really exciting. Recommended read - and if an option read series in sequence as they lead into each other and there is much in the way of story and character overlaps.
Just as good as the first in the series. Romantica is not usually my thing, generally being too short on plot, but this works very well. I'd love to see this series turn mainstream as the Pride series has.
