When readers want to investigate icons of our world, this is where to send them. Highly visual presentations illuminate the tragedies and triumphs of some of the 20th century's most extraordinary lives. Further reading resources lists, and biographical timelines are handy tools for researchers.
Dr. Mike Goldsmith studied the philosophy of time and space at Keele University, where he also obtained his PhD in astrophysics. He was formerly the head of Acoustics at the UK's National Physical Laboratory and is now an author of nonfiction books for children.
I liked this book, and am surprised that more books exist for Lance Armstrong than for Neil Armstrong. The book presents all of Armstrong's life - from his childhood and his service in WWII and Korea ending with his NASA experiences. His time in NASA is about half the book, and it seems to be accurate. It contains a fair number of pictures showing Armstrong through his life. I recommend this book.
