This is a conversational book full of wisdom. As a golfer who wants to shoot lower scores, this book helped me realize the self limiting beliefs I placed on my game. In particular, his discussion about the “comfort zone” was a remarkable breakthrough for me.

It is full of common sense and includes interesting quotes from conversations with professional golfers. As a read it, I carefully observed myself and other golfers and this reinforced for me that Dr. Cohn demonstrates his understanding of the psychology of golfers.

I also adopted a more deliberate approach to preparation before a round and cannot recommend enough the value of having a hole-by-hole plan for a round. There were many other ideas that I adopted that helped me channel my passion and love of golf into productive and positive thoughts to simplify and enjoy my game.

This book was written for experienced golfers and I think it also would help inexperienced golfers avoid accidentally falling into ineffective mental thoughts that quickly become habitual.

Mental training is important and most golfers have few tools to improve this aspect of their golf game. This book provides ample tools and explains them in varied ways to provide specific and actionable changes.

Since reading it I shot my best score of 2 over par. ⛳️

Not at all impressed by this book. I could have written it based upon my golf knowledge. The author offers nothing new. He simply accumulates a wealth of chapters of different material and organizes it into a collection of ideas of how to play better. I did not like his writing style nor content.

This is a great book for people who feel like they don't get as much enjoyment out of the game of golf as they used to. It helps by giving advice to change your perspective on the game and how you should approach it mentally. Overall, it's a golf psychology book focusing on ways to break scoring barriers.
