I have been using this book as part of the supplementary material for the the "CompTIA Healthcare IT" certification, and I really love it. IT is obviously not meant for the exam as such, but it provides tremendous insight into the concepts covered in the books which are specifically geared for the exam. I will highly recommend this for those who are looking to understand the History of the HIT profession, its evolution, what it entails, the organizations involved, the standards, requirements, legislation, architecture, and so much more. This book, "Introduction to Computer Systems for Health Information Technology," "Healthcare Information Technology Exam Guide for CompTIA Healthcare IT Technician and HIT Pro Certifications," and "Case Studies for Health Information Management" are indispensable for anyone who wants to understand the relationship of computer technology to healthcare, and how it impacts and aids workflows.
