Vampire Doll: Guilt-na-Zan 6 features story and art by Erika Kari.
The naïve Bat Axe is still learning how to adapt to this wacky household, while Dante teaches a boy a lesson on handling blades. And as though there weren't enough cursed objects in the house, a mirror-smashing spirit possesses Kyoichi! But nothing compares to the rather unwelcome appearance of the famous exorcist Kyoeisai Yotobari. Why has he come back and what is he after, having been the one to seal Guilt-na-Zan in his cross prison for so long?
This would have been a 5 star read but unfortunately their was some derogatory comments made about gay people so I deducted a star.
Those two comments aside I really enjoyed this volume. Vampire Doll is a series that I have always felt a little bit rushed or cramped - events barrel along and sometimes don't make a whole lot of sense, and that is definitely the case here, but you know what I don't mind it at all. I'll be honest - the series ended almost as I expected it to and I am pleased for that.
I don't think this manga series will ever be a high rotation one for me like Furuba or Ouran are, but I am very pleased I have the complete collection and I will definitely read it again in the future. It's short enough to be a nice little palate cleanser.
