This took me a bit longer to finish than i would have liked as i feel this book got a little lost in places. Firstly, i appreciate the idea. I have tryed the technique and i can say that with persistance it did help if you are having a stressful time for some.
I dont suffer from anxiety but at my local bookclub they put it forward to read as a few people had mentioned it helped them and thought we would find it interesting. I appreciate that for people suffering from anxiety it can make daily life very difficult and i was interested in learning more about this.

There has been a lot of reasearch into this and its a well known idea. HeartMath has produced a lot of techniques, products and learning programmes.
Also telecourses, seminars and so on. The list is quite significant.

I found reading this short book that it was a little bland and i lost interest quite a bit sadly. The examples throughout of other peoples experiences seemed a bit too conveniently told. How someone had an issue but 3 sessions later of HeartMath and Cured! Hmmm. Maybe. I find it a little difficult to believe. On example was it cured a person from having non epileptic fits(4 times a week) to having none just a month later.

Well i hope it really does help people this much.it seems a big business and a lot is involved in this. For me i find there are better self help book out there but it was a good little book to read in explaining about anxiety. The reasons and habits people have that keep them in that mindset. Doesnt hurt to try it if it helps right?

I’m currently researching ways to address anxiety. So far, this book has been my favorite because it explains enough of what happens in the brain that contributes to anxiety buildup for me to care. Other books go on and on and it’s not relatable to the proposed solution. Also because it gives readers something to do about anxiety that is not time consuming or difficult.

They also mentioned briefly a heart coherence monitor that currently sells for $129 which will give feedback on whether the reader is doing methods effectively (a concern I had while reading book). Not required of course, but available.

While there is not a focus on geek-speak in this book, the work at HeartMath is science-based. That satisfied my intellect while also being in alignment with my spiritual beliefs about alignment with Source, positive emotions, etc.

First book I read from HeartMath, truly excellent book. This book was very helpful when I needed it and am grateful that I found it. It's it's in the cognitive therapy realm and it struck me after a while that this is a little like prayer for secular people.

I think the real gem is just the 2 meditation practices which aren't too special but I'm sure still effective. The rest are some studies and stories.
