We've been reading the Dirty Bertie books since the beginning of the year and have two left before we have finished them all. Dirty Bertie is a little boy with dirty habits who always manages to get into mischief. The books are similar to Horrid Henry but I think funnier and Bertie is a much more likeable character as there is nothing nasty about him, just cheeky. Some of the titles in the series have revolting names such as "Bogeys" which initially put me off these books as I thought they would be just silly with no real story line but they are actually quite charming books and I've enjoyed ready them. As we like to say "Bertie always wins in the end"!
