Review actually for いとしい君との初夜事情 which doesn’t have a listing — I can’t even find this one 😅 Anyway. This creator is great, their art is gorgeous and they really know how to weave a story. I’ll likely read more of their stuff!
Read: September 7,2025 Boku wa Kimi to Koi ga Shitai/I Want to Fall in Love with You by Kida Sattsu is a sweet romance surrounding two characters Souta Inaba and Sakuma Hanagata.
Souta is a prince-like student who's always dreamed of being the hero who saves the heroine. even since he started reading about dashing heroes in manga but he never imagined that he'd be the one that needs saving. One day be met his hero while riding his usual crowded train after he finds himself at the mercy of creepy groper. Frozen by fear,he's rescued by a dashing and gentle boy who happens to see what was happening. After the creep is chased off Inaba is comforted. After the boy stays with Souta until his stop,Shouta can't help but think of nothing but this kind stranger who is exactly the ideal he aspires to be. Unfortunately Souta forgot to ask the stranger's name and properly thank him but fortunately for him the next day he discovers that the stranger is a transfer student at their school(they are supposedly seniors in highschool)named Sakuma Hanagata. Excited to meet Sakuma again Shouta rushed to thank him where he discovered a different side of Sakuma - the gruff new transfer student who wants nothing to do with anyone at his new school. His backstory is very similar to the second lead characters from Mr.Unlucky have no choice but to kiss and Never Let Go - second lead who is actually a nice guy whose kindness is unfortunately taken for granted. This explained why Sakuma was standoffish and rude towards Souta during their first meeting at school. The rest of the story is the two of them becoming friends and eventually becoming something more once Souta and Sakuma resolve some misunderstandings. Their relationship is sweet and Sakuma is actually a complete gentleman who values consent - a trait I wish all protagonists had in romance manga. Even after both Souta and Sakuma become adults and are living with each other for years Sakuma still asks for permission before doing anything sexual or romantic. I also liked that their parents accepted their relationship though I wish it was a event on screen and not something that was only revealed in the author's note. My only problem with this story is that the creep in the train was only punched and not arrested,Sakuma never apologized for being rude to that girl and that the two main characters had two sexual encounters before they graduated from highschool. The anatomy of the characters are a bit strange especially after the characters are aged up by 10 years but other than that I loved this story.
