I do remember that I was barely old enough to cross the street by myself when I discovered the delights of the local library. Could anything be more wonderful than spending summer days surrounded by stacks of Nancy Drew mysteries? Over the years I fell in love with Victoria Holt, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, and J.R.R. Tolkien just to name a few. I read poetry, essays, biographies, and plays. In fact, I read anything I could get my hands on.
Years later (no, I'm not admitting how many) I'm still an avid reader, and my tastes are still as varied as they were in my youth, which I suppose helps to explain why I enjoy writing regency historicals under the name of Deborah Raleigh, as well as my contemporary paranormals as Alexandra Ivy. For now that is enough to keep me busy, but who knows what the future might hold!
I do have a few other loves in my life besides reading and writing, the most important being my unbelievably patient husband, David, and my two sons, Chance and Alexander. Without their constant support and belief in me, I never could have been able to follow my dreams. They are truly my heroes.

Great story I love that you get to watch Salvatore change from kind of a user jerk when it comes to ladies to a sweet and sexy man that only wants one woman! I like that Harley is Kick butt and isn't stupid and always running head first into trouble. The story line is great. And I love love that at the end they are pregnant with 5 babies so cute.............

Still arrogant, but oh so sexy, Salvatore finally gets his queen
Werewolf King Salvatore Guiliani is on the hunt, he's scented a pureblood were female and strongly suspects that it's one of the remaining genetically altered females who were supposed to mean salvation for his declining race. Having already lost two of the four sisters to the dirty bloodsucking vamps, Salvatore is amazed to discover that this one is 'his Queen'.
Harley has been told for years that Salvatore is the bogey man who killed her family and who now wants to wipe her out too. But somehow the reality of Salvatore just doesn't mesh with what she's been told and Salvatore's scent stirs a hunger deep inside her soul. But can Harley trust Salvatore when he spouts fairy stories about their true mating - despite Harley's inability to shift, she is no submissive female willing to pump out pureblood pups for the arrogant were.
But Harley's acceptance is crucial, for Salvatore's old enemy has arisen and with the mate bond incomplete Salvatore may lack the power to save his people from immediate extinction.
Werewolf King Salvatore has been a total arrogant jerk in the previous books, but Ivy manages to make him a decent hero here. And she manages to do that while still keeping Salvatore's character mostly intact - he's still arrogant, but here all that attitude makes him sexy and seductive. And as despicable as Salvatore's been at times in the past books, he definitely has some noble moments here. And Harley is a surprisingly good heroine too. After Harley's previous two sisters stories, I was expecting them all to start blending. But even though Harley has that same core of strength as her siblings, her story stands out because she uses it to make Salvatore really work for his happily ever after. And that strength which allows her to stand up to Salvatore, ultimately makes Haley a good queen to his king - and fortunately Salvatore is trainable:)
I have really grown to like Ivy's books and though it sounds cliché, this series really does keep on getting better. Which is great since we still have three novels and a Levitt short story to look forward to. And even though vampire assassin Tane's book is next up (he's paired with a half djinn), I am hoping that the final sister Cassandra, whose story was started here, gets her own book too - though I wouldn't mind if a bit more of Cassandra's story is woven into Devoured by Darkness to tide me over.

I think I reviewed this one and Goodreads must not have saved it. Argh! I read this book a while ago, so this review may not be as in depth as some of my others, but here goes.
We met Salvatore earlier in the series, and he was the bad guy. Progressively we realized that he was actually just trying to save the werewolves. They have Purebreds and Curs (made werewolves). They have had trouble with females not being able to control their shifts throughout the full moon, which causes pregnant females to lose the babies where they used to be able to stay human long enough to carry their pups to term. Their magic is slowly depleting, and their population dying out. Even bitten curs aren't surviving the change like they used to.
So Salvatore genetically engineers one of their high ranking pureblooded females embryos. She has 4 baby girls and they all survive. There's one side effect though, and it means that while those 4 females won't change during pregnancy, they will never change at all. Ever.
Unfortunately those babies are then kidnapped shortly after their births. Salvatore spent 20+ years searching for one to be his mate...she ended up with Styx the vampire leader. He found another and she also mated with a vampire.
He finally finds Harley and they are mates-but to her, Salvatore is the bogeyman. So he tries to win her, and they have a hot mating dance where she wants him, but doesn't trust him, or herself...I liked it a lot. I loved Salvatore. I loved how they got the magic back for the pack, and the bad guy? Very cool.
The only thing I didn't like as the set-up of the next book with the prophecy of Caine and the 4th sister. I didn't like him, so I have a hard time wanting him to be the hero of the next book, but I've loved all her books so far, so hopefully it won't disappoint.

3 PLEASED STARS
Werewolf king Salvatore Giuliani is one character I really, really wasn’t keen on in the books that have come before this – I didn’t think there was any way I could like him after his behaviour with Darcy – one of the reasons why I’ve put off reading this book, that being said whilst he didn’t fully redeem himself in my eyes – I finished this book not wanting a image of him on a dart board and the urge for him to be buried in the desert with ants surrounding him disappeared.
Harley as a character by far is my favourite of the main characters in this book – she is kickass and doesn’t take any BS from Salvatore. The heat between them sizzles quite well. I did want some more layering/depth to Harley’s and Salvatore’s relationship but still a enjoyable read.
Levet remains an entertaining secondary character, one who ensures I smile more than a few times.
Ivy’s PR books in this series are overall a lovely bit of escapism that I can read more than once.

I didn't think i was going to enjoy this book because of how arrogant the hero is but as it turns out, his arrogance blew up in his face and it was great seeing him with his tail between his legs in more than one occasion.
I would have given this book a 5 star if not for the fact that the heroine complained way too much about her freedom but couldn't stay away from the hero.

King of the Weres, Salvatore Giulani, is still on his quest to find the stolen female purebloods. Falling into Caine's trap, Salvatore and Levet are disoriented in a tunnel when their battle-mates find them. Vampire Tane flexes his superior attitude against Salvatore's arrogant one as the two posture for leadership over the next phase when Levet announces a half-jinn was helping Caine.
Salvatore leads his curs and Levet on Caine's trail, determined to force Caine to surrender the females or tell him where they are when he catches an unmistakable scent. Harley's under Caine's 'protection' and he's told her Salvatore is her enemy and searching for her so that he can kill her. She's unaware the Were King's motives are more benevolent than Caine's led her to believe.
Ten minutes after meeting Salvatore, Haley doubts and confronts Caine in addition to being inexplicably attracted to him. Caine in his mad scientist persona was at the top of his fiendishly diabolical game as he furiously spun tales and adjusted his plans to keep his tenuous hold over Haley. Piecing together bits she'd gathered from Salvatore and Caine gave them both a new understanding.
Harley was definitely a modern pureblood. She was just as kicka**, sexual, and smart as Salvatore and they made a great couple. She was fine with a booty call and not looking for a mate. The villainous cabal was great with convoluted diabolical plans to match their ends. A peek at the vampire contingent kept everything linked. With each installment, there's much to like in this binge-able series.
Though there were a few spaces that dragged and this reader used those to catch my breath and speculate what would come next. The chemistry, dialogue and some situations between the leads were entertaining without being silly as the twists, turns and loops unfurled in this evenly paced cat and mouse paranormal thriller. This reader was also a fan of the intriguing and not quite cliffhanger ending.

This is the first book in this series that I have wrote a review on, this is another one of my top vampire/shape-shifter series. Every book in this series is full of humor, adventure, romance, hot sexy vampires/shape-shifters, Strong heroine‘s, suspense, excitement, and hot sex, to put the cherry on top! As in all of Ivy’s books she brings all of her characters back around, so you never miss out on any of them.
There is a three foot Gargoyle named Levet, he appears in every book. Every hero in this series wants him gone, while every heroine’s will do anything for him even if its throw their vampire/shape-shifter on the couch, just to help Levet. Levet maybe small, but he somehow comes in and helps saves the day in some way. These books would not be the same with out him.
This book brings you Salvatore The King of Weres. To tell you the truth in the last book I found Salvatore just didn’t do it for me. But when I started reading this book, I was like WOW he is one HOT were! I really fell into his roll he starts out very flirty with Harley and the romance grows form there, its really hot. Salvatore finds himself not have a good day, along with him is Levet the annoying gargoyle, they both have a time of getting out of their predicament. Its one that had me LMBO at them both trying to get out.
Harley I found wonderful, she is not over the top or just a dull character. I also fell in the roll of her character, she has been taught against Salvatore, so she has to take her time to trust him, but I never found her annoying. I like the way she is strong against anything thrown her way.
For those who have never read this series. There hasn’t been a were mating in years, so no one knew that it could happen. I really like the way the mating was written and that both had to participate in this before it was complete. This is a very sexy adventure to read.

So this one just wasn't as good for me as the last few. Salvatore needs redemption because he has treated women like objects. He did this with Styxx's mate Darcy. He wanted to use her as a puppy mill while still keeping his harem. Well here he is struck by the mating bond and suddenly he only wants to secure his mate, Harley. He doesn't ask for any understanding or forgiveness. There is no, let me get rid of my harem, no that just seems to disappear. And Harley, she calls him on certain actions but then seems to conveniently forget them as hormones take over and Salvatore seduces her- like the little head thinking for the big, only with the woman. Why do writers use this ploy for women. Women are constant thinkers and when something isn't right, I think a smart woman confronts the guy, hormones be damn. So these things just made me not like Harley or Salvatore's relationship very much. It killed any real understanding and growth, I don't really think they know each other at all. At the very end, having the bonding moment was good but not enough to save the romance. As a PNR this rates in the 2 1/2 star category, OK to good.
Still the book end up being pretty good because of the werewolf story and Caine leading a lot of Curs that no longer believe in the full blood. Caine believes in a vision that Zombie full blood werewolf helped him to see. Now he thinks he owes fidelity but is realizing that he screwed up. He never took advantage of Harley or try to force mate her (Salvatore), yet he lies to her to manipulate her. Zombie werewolf challenged Salvatore and then made a deal with a demon so he is evil and is on strings of someone else too. Everyone is being manipulated. In the end, Salvatore must confront the Zombie.
We are left thinking that Harley and Salvatore might make a true partnership rather than doormat and mate but still not hot for me in the sheets department. The storyline almost deserves a 4 star but not quite. So 3 1/2 for the plot 2 1/2 for the romance.

Love the action and world Ms. Ivy has created in her Guardians of Eternity series.
Beyond the Darkness is book six in Alexandra Ivy's Guardians of Eternity series. Ms. Ivy does not disappoint she knows how to pull her audience in and keep us entertained, with a strong plot, action, adventure, and just the right amount of romance.
We are taking on a fast paced action packed adventure and learn more about the Weres in this world. By the end I had a better understand of the Weres. It was nice to see Salvatore get his comeuppance, a mate who won't fall at his feet. We see Salvatore change slowly oh so slowly now that he has a mate to protect. Finding Harley opened up new possibilities and also gave a sense of completion to the Were King. As for Harley she is a strong heroine. I liked that she never fully trusted Cain and everything he told her. It was refreshing to see her question her reactions to Salvatore. Makes it more real. I will say I had a hard time feeling the romantic love blooming between Salvatore and Harley, not sure why, might be because I'm not a Salvatore fan, just could not get that connection I usually get between couples.
As for Cain I liked his side story maybe leading up to his own book. Something unexpected happens to him that I am interested in learning more about. We also find the fourth and final missing pureblood sister Were and I did not expect her abilities/gift.
Lastly Levet; I just love him. He always brings humor to the stories. All the male characters hate him, but each female just falls in love with him. He is such a great character and something happens to him in this book…..
The story was great. Ancient evil, unknown foes and possible enemies that could become allies. Their is something stirring in the Guardians of Eternity world and you can just tell everyone is in for a ride. I always enjoy seeing previous characters return. There where some great fight scenes and steamy ones as well. I highly recommend pick up this series and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Both the hero and heroine drove me nuts. The heroine was bitchy and annoying, the hero was arrogant and sure got beat up a lot for being the King of Weres. Okay story, not exactly the strongest book in this mediocre series that is kind of forgettable.

I really enjoyed this. Salvatore deserved his h.e.a. Harley was a perfect match. Enjoyed seeing the other couples. N the set up for Caine n Cassie

There is a problem facing the Weres, they are going extinct. Full blooded female Weres can no longer control their shift during a full moon causing them to lose their litters. It has even been decades since the last time a Cur (bitten human) was made. Salvatore Giuliani, King of Weres, will do anything to save his people. Years ago his scientists created four genetically altered female babies who could not shift but the babies were taken without a trace. 30 years later while chasing his enemy Salvatore not only stumbles upon one of the stolen females, but she also just so happens to be his destined mate.
Harley has lived life constantly under the eye of her guardian Caine and made to think that the conceited King of Weres murdered her sisters and will kill her too if he ever found her. So of course once she finds Salvatore near her home she traps in a cage of silver and thinks only hateful things. But she soon finds out that he isn't as vicious as she has been told. He is tall, dark, gorgeous and she has this unreasonable need to get him naked. Before long they are being hunted by an old enemy with unnatural powers who wants not only Salvatore's throne, but his life. Calling Salvatore Giuliani arrogant is an understatement. He is fully aware he is handsome, powerful, intelligent and a masterful lover. He King and expects everyone to treat him as such which makes Harley the perfect mate for him. She has lived under Caine's thumb her entire life and like hell is she going to let some male, especially a King, tell her what to do let alone tell her she is destined to be his. I love how she takes every opportunity to bring Salvatore down a few pegs. There will be no bowing or kissing of a ring for her. She is very resistant to the bond at first. Sure she enjoys sharing a bed for the night with Salvatore but it will go no further than being physical. Her walls soon fall as she starts to trust and even love Salvatore. The more danger they are in the closer they become to each other until it isn't the bond that is the reason they want each other. Their relationship is sweet but not nauseating which is why I enjoyed it so much.
The story itself was great. Ancient evil, unknown foes and possible enemies that could soon be allies. There is something stirring in the world of Guardians of Eternity and you can tell everyone is going to be in for a bumpy ride. Some of my favorites returned in this book. I always love to read how Darcy puts her mate and Anasso (King of Vampires) Styx in his place. Just picturing the little blond going toe to toe with the 6 foot 6 warrior is funny. The lovable Lovet briefly shows up before he mysteriously vanishes. We also got another glimpse into one of Viper's notorious clubs and lets just say kinky doesn't even begin to describe it. This is my favorite book so far in the series. There are some great fight scenes and very steamy ones between Salvatore and Harley that you want to make sure you are alone when you read. Alexandra Ivy has topped herself and has made me very anxious for her the next installment.

Beyond the Darkness is the 6th book in Alexandra Ivy’s Guardians of Eternity series. Of course this being the last book yet released in the series, so far, I believe the series is pretty solid and very satisfying. The only issue I would raise is that each book seems to have the same issues and the same story line, with different characters. Not to say I didn’t enjoy it……I definitely did. I am a huge fan of paranormal romance novels and series, and so I am always looking for new ones to read. I can definitely say that Ms. Ivy didn’t disappoint.
This book in the series takes a different perspective than that of the rest, meaning this was not the love development between a vampire and his love, but instead of the King of Were’s and his Mate.
I can say that I was not entirely thrilled to read about Salvatore’s story and I am still unable to make the determination that I like him yet but I was pleasantly pleased to see the previous characters and get introduced to Harley (Salvatore’s mate).
The action and suspense in the story kept me on edge and I enjoyed the mystery surrounding all the evil that was occurring.

Salvatore continued his search for the four genetically altered pureblood cubs and has finally stumbled across the third, Harley. He is surprised when he realizes that the third of the female cubs is not only within his grasp, but is also his true mate. Harley is living and kept hidden by Caine, the upstart cur who's been using Harley's blood to try to find his personal holy grail - turning curs into purebloods and being the messiah of the species. Caine has lied to Harley for her entire life saying that her sisters were dead and that the Were King is looking for her so he can kill her. wow.....salvatore giuliani memang keren...lama di tunggu bukunya akhir nya keluar...langsung deh 'disantap' baca sampe subuh :p
ceritanya ttg salkvatore, raja para were yang ketemu sama pasangannya, seorang pure blood yang selama 30 tahun di tahan di tempat persembunyian caine, seorang cur yang pengen banget jadi pure blood sampe bekerja sama dengan "briggs"...were zombie musuh salvatore...
kenapa disebut were zombie ? soalnya berabad2 lalu si briggs ini udah di bunuh sama salvatore...sayangnya dia dibangkitkan lagi sama iblis balam supaya si iblis bisa kembali ke dunia...
makanya si briggs ini bauuuuuu banget badannya...maklum deh body nya kan udah membusuk.....
salvatore yang dari awal ketemu "harley" (kembaran darcy dan regan) langsung merasa ketertarikan yang amat sangat (langsung turn-on bo :p)
harley yang awalnya menganggap salvatore jahat karena fitnahan caine, gak percaya sama salvatore...
tapiiiiii.....salvatore kan ganteng banget ( di cover aja pake muka paul marron...hmmmm yummy ...) membikin harley juga merasakan seseatu kepada salvatore dan itu bukan sekedar preety face aja....tapi ada ketertarikan yang kuat akibat dari proses berpasangan were pure blood yang dikira udah ilang sejak dulu kala....
sooooo.....akhirnya harley ikut salvatore, mau gak mau ada di tengah2 pertempuran kekuatan besar antara salvatore dan briggs (bonus si iblis balam yang jahat )
ternyata si balam ini pingin menggunakan darah salvatore untuk kembali ke bumi dan semakin kuat...sampe salvatore berhasil di culik, diiket pake rante perak di meja persembahan dan di mau di keringin darahnya...
untungnya harley nolong salvatore..dan membikin proses berpasangan sempurna ...dgn begitu salvatore dapat kekuatan yang lebih besar buat ngalahin balam...
endingnya juga so sweet....salvatore yang pingin punya anak dan melestarikan garis keturunan pure blood akhirnya happy banget pas harley ngasih tau kalo dia hamil....bukan satu, dua atau kembar 3 sodara2...melainkan langsung kembar 5 wkwkwkwkw gimana itu ngurus nya coba....

Wow ! Akhirnya, pencarian dan penantian panjang Salvatore si Raja Were membuahkan hasil. Kembar ke 3 dari kembar 4 yang diharapkan meneruskan garis keturunan pureblood , Harley , di temukan.Dari pertama bertemu, mereka sudah merasakan kekuatan ikatan berpasangan yang menarik-narik mereka untuk terus bersama, walaupun mati-matian Harley berusaha menyangkal ketertarikannya kepada Raja Were yang super ganteng itu.
Harley mau tidak mau akhirnya ikut terseret dalam pertarungan Salvatore dengan Briggs, musuh lamanya yang dia kira sudah mati. Yang ternyata menjual jiwa nya kepada iblis yang ingin menggunakan darah Salvatore untuk kembali ke bumi. Dan berkuasa.
Very simple story dengan banyak "action"....baik the real action atau action Salvatore dan Harley yang super hot. Some friends in Goodreads called this book a semi porn.
Hm, not exactly sih sebenarnya, cuma chemistry antara Harley dan Salvatore aja yang sangat kuat...dan Salvatore yang luar biasa oh-so-damn-sexy-that-no one-could-ever-reject him ! Haha.....
Love the book, juga karakter Levet yang lucu dan selalu dicintai para wanita. Levet yang suka salah bahasa....hahahha...ngakak berat waktu Levet bilang , "sampai kita dapat PEMBANTU"...di koreksi Salvatore dengan , "BANTUAN, bukan pembantu" wakakakakakk.....
So sweet ending nya dimana Harley akhir nya memberikan ketrunan buat Salvatore, bukan cuma satu , tapi LIMA !

My Thoughts
The King of Weres; once a villain in our beloved series, now the determined hero. I love this book. From the beginning, Salvatore has been one of my favorite characters. He's so arrogant and self assured that you can't help but love him. He's been on a mission to return the ancient powers back to the Weres that have been lost for so long. The race is on the verge of becoming extinct, no female can control her change and carry her children to term and humans are not converting into curs from a bite anymore. Salvatore created a plan thirty years ago to fix this problem but the solution was stolen from him, right out of the nursery. Now, thirty years later, his search for the sisters his lab helped create is coming to an end. With Darcy mated to the Anasso and Regan infertile, there are only two sisters remaining who can give Salvatore what he so desperately seeks. In comes Harley, she has taught since birth to fear the arrogant King of the Weres. She is a no nonsense, tough, and capable pureblood that instantly captivates Salvatore. There is a passion burning between them from the moment they spot each other. They each have their own plans and agendas, but those are easily being tossed in the air as an enemy that was believed dead has returned to the scene. Salvatore and Harley must fight their way to freedom and for the survival of the entire Were race. I love the raw passion that explodes between these two fierce and headstrong characters. The complex mystery involved throughout this book keeps you constantly guessing what is around the next corner. It's a thrilling ride with new characters with their own plans and old characters jumping in to save the day in any way they can. Wow! I was so pleasantly surprised with this author and this book. This was my first experience reading a book by Alexandra Ivy. Although I decided to start with book #6 in the series, the storyline interested me enough to take a chance on the book without reading the first 5 in the series. I think I might have found a new series to read.
Salvatore Guilini is the King of the Weres who is frustrated with his current life since the Weres are in danger of extinction. Apparently, the females of the trueblook Weres are having difficulty carrying babies to full term. So, 30 years ago Salvatore had scientists extract female DNA and modify it so that the female babies could no longer shift therefore ensuring babies could be carried to term. Unfortunately the four infants born were stolen from their cribs. Salvatore has been hunting for them over the years and is still missing two. When he stumbles upon one of remaining two missing females,Harley, Salvatore is astonished to find that she is not only sexy, strong willed and fearful of him (she was raised to believe the King would kill her) she is his true mate and future Queen. This is where the fun begins. The storyline is chocked full of twists, turns, interesting supporting characters who are worthy of a separate novel themselves but also sexy as hell! I think it is time for me to buy books #1-5 and become better acquainted with the world of Alexandra Ivy.

Salvatore dan obsesinya pada weregirls purebloodnya mungkin super menyebalkan di awal seri ini. Keangkuhan, dan kecintaannya pada barang mewah sudah menjadi ciri khasnya. Tapi di buku sebelumnya, aku mulai bisa merasakan keputusasannya dan loyalitas Salvatore terhadap kawanannya.
Akhirnya pencarian dan penantian panjang Salvatore, si Raja Cur membuahkan hasil. Were pureblood ketiga, Harley berhasil ditemukan. Dan saat raja anjing seksi ini melihat Harley, instalust langsung melandanya. Mereka sudah merasakan kekuatan ikatan berpasangan yang menarik-narik mereka, walaupun mati-matian Harley berusaha menyangkal ketertarikannya kepada Raja Cur yang super ganteng itu. Biasanya aku kurang suka dengan tipe begini, tapi untungnya Harley tidak membuat pengejaran Salvatore menjadi mudah. Proses ikatan berpasangan menguras kekuatan dan energi Salvatore. Perjuangan Salvatore berusaha melindungi calon mate-nya ini dengan kekuatan yang terbatas, dan dianiaya baik oleh teman-teman dan musuhnya, jelas meluluhkan hatiku.
Banter mereka sangat provokatif, seksi dan nakal. Chemistry mereka juga intens dari awal pertemuan. Tapi aku suka cinta di antara mereka tidak instan dan bertumbuh dengan subur di antara tebaran musuh, konflik dan feromon masa berpasangan. Ini adalah salah satu buku favorit saya di seri ini. Ada beberapa adegan perkelahian hebat dan adegan-adegan steamy yang panas membara antara Salvatore dan Harley yang ingin anda pastikan membaca saat sendirian.

I'm kind of on a werewolf kick, and I know this book is third in a series I think but the other two books were about vampires, and honestly this bookie could be read as a stand alone, (as you can tell I'm not much for reading orders) Salvatore (had to read it reminds me of my two brothers on 'The Vampire Diaries') I loved him he's persistent until he gets what he wants and his Harley woo-baby that girl knows how to fight. "You're min, cara. From the top of your golden head to the tips of your tiny toes, and every delectable curve in between." I loved it when he got all animal it gave my girly bits a tingle, "with a growl that was more animal than human, Salvatore buried his face in the curve of her neck, his mouth nuzzling the sensitive skin." Salvatore is cocky, and he kids around a lot, "its not a ritual the female performs. She doesn't dance around a bonfire or sacrifice small animals." His lips curled in a smile filled with wicked promise. "Of course, if you wanted to dance around the bonfire naked..." Even though Salvatore can multi-task with certain things on him and on his mind the boy lies in that department, "you have my full and eager attention." He shifted his until his erection pressed against her backside. "Painfully, eager." This was the first full length novel I've read by Alexandra and I was pleasantly surprised I may go back and read the other two books in the series that I skipped over.

El libro de Salvatore superó ampliamente mis expectativas!!!
Casi muero con el super mega complot de Briggs... ni en mi más retorcido momento se me hubiese ocurrido esa posibilidad!!!
El robo de las cuatrillizas fue solo un señuelo para distraerlo de lo que en verdad ocurría... fue OHHHH!!!
Francamente, debo confesar que ahí, al igual que Abby y Dante, no comprendo bien cómo el el señor oscuro puede aparecer de vuelta siendo que el Fénix sigue en la tierra... da para pensar!!!
Aunque si bien es cierto que Abby lo sentía... como la pobre aún no entiende todo... eso de ser el cáliz no viene con manual (muy bien dicho) creo que no sé, debería de haberse asegurado... por la moscas!! Capaz y pensó que era por lo sucedido con las brujas, pero creo que debería de haberle prestado más atención... digo!!!
Igual... me encantó el libro en sí... no solo por la historia central, sino las paralelas.... quién lo diría??? Caine??? Omg!!! es una locura esooo jajajaja

of course bintang 5 buat dy... klo ada 10 gw kasih 10-10 nya...
ga nahan bacanya... dr Bab pertama ajah udah gregetan... waktu nyerbu ke sarang Caine beduaan sama Levet... Salvatore menguarkan bau -klo minjem istilah levet- 'Lucu'.. pas ngeliat Harley -si pureblood kembarannya Darcy- di depan pintu sarang... Gyahahahha... baunya Lucu.. karna di antara aroma kekuatan yg di keluarin.. ada aroma Sex pas ngeliat si Harley.. muahahaha ge demen neh yg begini.. wekekekek

This was my first Guradian's of Eternity book. Honestly, the descriptions and reviews of the earlier books didn't interest me, but this one did. Especially that cover.
It turned out to be a strong PNR novel. I didn't find it challenging at all having missed out on the first five books. That being said, plenty of old friends do appear enough and play a role in the story to satisfy series lovers.
It was very typically PNR. The begining was meh. After reading soo many PNR series it is really challenging to hook me. YOu really have to build a strong character background and I didn't think that enough time was spent REALLY getting into the heroine's heart. I think of Ward, Kenyon, Showalter, and Cole and how well we crawl into a character's skin and history and I just didn't get that level of commitment here.
By the middle, really it was the journey that hooked me and in the end it was the battle and what was going on in side plots that kept me turning the page.
I did enjoy the couple. I loved loved loved their ending! I do recommend it for PNR fans, but clearly I am a UF lover at heart.

I disliked Salvatore when he was first introduced in Darkness Everlasting. He was way too obnoxious. Buuut now, I'm a little in love with that damn Italian Were.
Salvatore finally finds his mate and comes face to face with the demons that are the cause of all the problems with the Weres. He meets Harley, the third female Were that was kidnapped. She is sassy, strong and can kick ass.
The mating bond between them flares from the moment they set eyes on each other, but Harley was brainwashed and disliked Salvatore from the start. It took a lot of his considerable charm to win her over, but even then, she was not about to fall willingly at his feet. She gave him a good fight.
I enjoyed the banter between them. I also loved that Styx and Darcy are back. They are forging a brotherhood with all the vamps and their mates for whatever is coming up in the later books. It's exciting!
Caine also fulfills his "destiny" and meets the final kidnapped Were. Their situation seems dire and I can't wait to delve into that story!
Still enjoying the series even though some of it is so damn repetitive.

I've read all the books in this series and so far liked them well enough to keep buying them.
Although I liked this one well enough I was bothered by a few things. First, the last few books in the series have made it clear that the hero of this one was basically part of the scum of the earth. He was unlikable in the last few books in part because of his callous treatment of the heroine of this book's (Harley) sisters.
In addition, the way he treats the non-pure bloods is revolting and his treatment of females in general was disgusting. So, basically he was unlikable in the other two books he appeared in.
So, it was a sticking point to me that the less than stellar 'King of the Werewolves' suddenly is completely different in this book. Suddenly he cares about his underlings, even if he isn't nice to them, and he's turned from a complete horn-dog into a loving mate.
This doesn't even take into account there is also Caine, who is another unlikable character who looks like he's going to have his own future book.
Baring all that, I found it enjoyable enough to finish.

OH man. I have been waiting for Salvatore since Styx's story. This one is super drool worthy. HOT HOT HOT! I just imagine him as Alcide Herveaux from True Blood. Can you say schmexy??!!

Seems like Salvatore has come a loooooonnnnngg way and i mean a super LOOOONNNNNGGG way from his ultimate goal. However, not once did the story disappoint. Harley and Salvatore were good together. I didn't think he'd get one of the sisters but he did! And I hated Caine in the last book but he's growing on me and I can't wait until his story!

Ceritanya jg intense dr awal, Selain intense adegan kejar2an dan laganya, juga intense adegan panas membaranya antara si Salvatore dan Harley, tiada kesempatan tanpa uhuk2 tp itu setelah 50%.

It was interesting watching this back and forth between them. It was a good way to get things off to a good way. Meeting the other sister and see where things are possibly heading.

I liked this book overall but found myself a little bored reading it. I guess after reading the breed series which moves things along fast this seemed like a lot of story and explaination and not so much action. There are so many characters in this series I found myself trying to remember everyone. As the end comes around there are so many lead ins for different characters. They are still talking about levet the gargoyle, oh lets not forget Tane, then Cassandra, and Caine. I still like the series but found myself wanting to finish this book so I could get to lion's heat from Lora Leigh.

Another winner for Alexandra Ivy. I devoured this book, I tried not to but the pace is great, moves and keeps moving. I fell for Salvatore...he wasn't my favorite in earlier books...but what this Were went through for his mate was awesome. I also loved Harley, strong, independent and sassy.
This was one hell of a read. Highly recommend it. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
