The Jared Lagdon Files:Dr. Rayther's Game: The Jared Lagdon Files:Dr. Rayther's Game

Rate this book
Doctor Rayther is a madman who believes he will be doing the people of the world a service by destroying civilization and starting over, with himself as ruler. Jared, Amy, and Nap are typical teenagers who suddenly find themselves running for their lives when they are ambushed on the way to the store. They are rescued by a stranger who seems to know what’s happening. He provides them with a fast car and some cash, and advises them, simply, to stay alive and out of sight. He also gives them direct instructions to not involve the police, or loved ones. As the game unfolds, Jared discovers previously unknown information about his deceased father, forcing him to re-evaluate what he thought was true. The three desperately try to determine who can be trusted, while keeping their wits about them, and planning their next move. The doctor insists they come to meet him, but refuses to explain his connection to them. They need to decide if they should take the chance and meet with him, or keep running, trying to find someone who can help make sense of their chaos. The farther they run, the deeper they travel into Doctor Rayther’s Game.

Fun, quick YA read- I'd rate this more like a 3 1/2 - no criticism per se, can see this being turned into a movie for sure.
