A fresh, offbeat story celebrating what comes “from the mouths of babes”!
“Our baby has a favorite word—the silliest word you’ve ever heard . . .”
As Baby points at everything in sight, she has just one thing to “Shwatsit!” But what on earth does it mean? Finally, her older brother solves the mystery while watching her try to reach for her teddy bear. “She wants it. She wants it. Say it Shwatsit!”
A-ha! At last! “Shwatsit” is “she wants it”—fast!
Baby’s word sure means a lot. She’s such a clever little tot!
Parents, older siblings, and little ones will enjoy, and recognize themselves in, this sweet family story.

This was such a cute book!! The whole time you are wondering what the little girl is saying and it turns out her brother figures out what she is saying in the end. Love love love this book and my daughter enjoyed listening to it.
This was a cute book about baby talk and figuring out what they are saying. This is a good language book. You could talk about the language babies speak and languages other people may talk that you don't know and how words have meaning. You could also talk about invented words and let children invent their own words and tell what they mean.
