I didn't read every word on every page of this book, but I still found it helpful and informative. (Other than the section on fertility, the book seemed especially to focus on women in the 40+ age ranges, so not all the information seemed immediately pertinent.) I thought the content of the book was laid out clearly and addressed in a straightforward fashion, and the overall tone was pretty no-nonsense. The author addressed a wide range of bodily functions and health issues, with detailed explanations of how to understand and monitor your health through diet, exercise, medical exams and vaccinations, etc. A great book for women whose 2012 resolutions involve their health (I'm getting her book on bone health from the library next).

Most of Miriam Nelson's books target a specific topic or part of the body. This is a "total health" book with topics ranging from sex health, mental health, and all physical health topics in between. Friendly and clear style of writing.

A lot of good information in this book. I made a lot of highlights for future reference. Reading it was the easy part. Now if I could only take advantage of the good advice!

I really just skimmed this book, looking for topics applying to me (nearly 60). Easy to read with lots of good, common sense information.
