As far as I know the publisher "School of Meditation" is no longer there, but the meditation mentioned in this book is still being practiced world wide. Next of kin to this school is http://www.schooleconomicscience.org/ (London-based, but addresses around the globe you'll find there too).
This wonderful little book explains meditative practice as a means to inner peace, freedom and contentment. It addresses many of the basic questions that arise for beginners and includes a variety of answers given by practicing members of the London School of Meditation, each according to their level of understanding.
Whiting's approach is simple, straightforward and to the point. He explains that meditation reveals to us our inner depths of love and happiness, our potential for knowledge and intelligence and the extent of our innate strength and capacity, and notes that these are partial benefits compared with the transcendence of theory and dogma and the great discovery of the unity behind all diversity.
For anyone wondering what meditation is all about I would highly recommend this helpful book.
