Henry M. Morris (1918–2006) was an American engineer and young Earth creationist, widely regarded as the father of modern creation science. He founded the Institute for Creation Research.
If you are dead set against religion this book won't do anything for you, nor will anything else for that matter, other than maybe a lighting bolt upside the head! If however you already have faith and are reading this book to hear what a man of science has to say then you will enjoy it. I have worked with scientists and they are kind of funny in that they will defend a theory as strongly as knowing 1 + 1 =2 yet they can drop the theory and forget their former support for it in a heartbeat almost as if they are embarrassed for ever believing such a thing! The same goes for misconceptions about the Bible. The author explains how various arguments against the Bible have come and gone over the years. I recommend the book for churchgoers, missionaries, religious leaders, and even scientists!
This book was short and supplied solid findings from historical and archeological finds that directly refute all the present day theories (presented as fact) about the earths origins, evolution and gives the readers answers about the Ark,the flood and prophesies. It's not an exciting page-turner but a great resource to help the believer supply a firm answer to those that are seeking Truth in their lives. Secular culture unfortunately turns a blind eye (or outright denies) to research that irrefutably supports Scripture. If you are someone who has never really taken the time to answer your questions about the events of the Bible, this is 132 pages(and bibliography) of relatively easy reading. You won't be sorry you read it!
Excellent book. I really like this author. He brings science of Creationism to the reader that doesn't talk down to them, but at the same time is very readable and interesting.
Though there is no point in searching for a proof in terms of beliefs and trust and love and things of the sort.. its a bit need of the hour to answer people who ask certain critical questions on faith and relevency to the modern world. this book was really good in supporting some of the best scientific theories in unison with biblical truths. this book is not the whole anyway! i wouldnt say this a best -- cud have been better.. the author was a bit messy in scripting!
Obviously older and a little out of date, certain references and names mean nothing to me, although I have them marked to look up later. Overall a nice relatively easy read that discusses some of the most popular arguments against Christianity.
