What the fecking hell is this shite? I found it online, and it is absolutely bizarre. Catholics are all evil, and we all just want to either take over the world or kill Protestants. I'm not sure why, to be honest, the Pope clearly forgot to let me in on this plan.

Oh, and part of the reason it's evil? Well, wasn't Hitler a Catholic? Also, Chick mentions the Irish rebellion of 1641 as proof of Catholics being evil, forgetting the historical context that took place in- when the Protestants weren't being so nice to the Catholics either.

Near the start, he calls the communion bread a cookie, trying to be insulting, but to be honest, if the cookies he's eating taste like holy bread, I honest to God feel sorry for him, because holy bread tastes disgusting. Has he never tried a chocolate digestive or a Jaffa Cake or an Oreo or even a Chocolate Kimberley? It might make him less of a moanbag, a bit of chocolate.

Can't wait till we take over the world, and Satan can help us murder him and his kind, hahahahaha. No ignore that last bit, it's a secret plot, I forgot. Seriously though, this is really racist and crazy. I think I'll go read more of his stuff.

Good but repetitive

ok it's a really quick read on the evils of the Catholic church but like everything else if you go into the study it's all really the rehashing of the same info

Asquerosisimo.

I have a really hard time choosing how many, if any, stars to give this book. On the one hand, it had such a tremendous impact on me that it would almost seem dishonest to say I 'did not' like it. I certainly did, at one time. In the end the claims made simply cannot be substantiated, and however much I might tend to be suspicious of the Roman Catholic institution, I cannot follow him, and in the end I have to see him as a man who fell for something, or fell into a certain way of thinking and was not able to leave it behind.
I had to leave him behind.

Eye-opening

It would be lovely if this book could reach a wider audience than just the kindle community or those that read e-books. The message is more relevant today than it has ever been and people need to know what is being planned and going on if they do not want to be duped. A courageous author and publisher.

Most people familiar with fundamentalist Christian cartoonist Jack Chick know him mainly for his comic-strip religious tracts and comic books, in which he depicted the evils of popular culture and the one true path to heaven, often with unintentionally humorous effect. But Chick Publications produces actual books as well, mostly to expound on his special brand of theology. Smokescreens is one of these books. Published in the Eighties, Smokescreens is Jack Chick's detailed manifesto regarding the Vatican's true role in Satan's "assault on Christ's bride, the church." Featuring a crude layout - complete with oddly-placed newspaper clippings and illustrations - that will be familiar to anyone into underground publications of the Eighties and Nineties, this over-sized pamphlet lays out Chick's conspiracy theory that centers around the Vatican and the Pope as directly involved in the Holocaust and the Roman Catholic Church as the "Whore" of revelation. Popular culture, Hollywood, TV evangelists, and even the Prime Minister of Canada are all in on the conspiracy, creating the titular smokescreens the threaten to blind us from the ultimate deception. Reading through this, you can see why Chick preferred to soften his message through comics, as the lunacy behind the message is even more glaring in print. Great stuff, worthy of any conspiracy library.
