The Mortakin swept across Earth 26 years ago, killing nearly everyone in its path. The virus was unstoppable. Roughly 10 percent of those infected became... Different. They were Zombies, by every definition. Less than 1 percent of humanity proved immune to the virus. Very quickly, we became the hunted. This is our story.

I enjoyed this book. I did notice a few times where it changed from first to third person which I could easily overlook. One section however had me a little confused. There is a character who gets killed earlier in the book and somehow makes a reappearance latter but then it was like the character switched with another. Not sure if this was intentional however it left me unsure and ultimately confused. At the end of the book I was left with one question regarding one of the main characters and makes me wonder if there is more coming? This character had a set mission in mind and went to go in the direction of this mission but then all of a sudden they stopped and no reference of this after? Overall I still enjoyed this book because of my love for anything related to Zombies.
