Even though the Danforth edition from 20 years ago doesn't have a cover in this website, I am almost fully certain I have read this precise paperback edition around its time of initial publication. I cannot compare to the English edition because I have never read it. I think the Spanish translation was okay. Nothing great, but got the point through.
Since it has been so long ago, I can't recall if this edition had color images. Usually Manual Moderno paperbacks are greyscale without much variety in the typography department. Most likely I found the images usually okay, other images were hard to see due to the greyscale. A lot of information in the book will naturally seem outdated, other topics will be timeless.
