A woman visits Copenhagen to find out what happened to a her cousin. Not really a gothic, as there isn't any romance or a sinister mansion, so this is more of a straightforward mystery thriller with a female lead. The book is fairly entertaining, and the truth behind the mystery is gradually uncovered via meetings with several colourful characters and visits to various nicely described locations in and around Copenhagen, but (as another reviewer has pointed out) it has a strange ending that seems unfinished.
