“Clearly written, well organized, and practical, we predict this will quickly become the ‘standard’ Enneagram coaching book for years to come.” Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson, bestselling authors of Personality Types and The Wisdom of the Enneagram Create powerful growth programs tailor-made for each employee! Whether you’re a coach, manager, or mentor, the Enneagram System is a highly effective tool for creating self-aware employees that are easy to manage. Enneagram expert Ginger Lapid-Bogda explains how to use the system’s nine number types to pinpoint each person’s style, tap into his or her strengths, and design customized growth programs for each one. Cross-cultural and proven to be highly accurate, the Enneagram is the ideal tool for creating employees
The format used by Lapid Bogda was new to me - I'm familiar with more theoretical stuff. And I think he did well. He synthesized nicely the combination of the core type, the instinctual variants, the wings and the directional movements; he also took into account all the three centers of intelligence for each type. It went straight to the point and dug deep enough, without ever flattening the types. This book is going to be useful if you have to deal with the type's defense mechanisms and paradoxes.
Extremely helpful and practical guide in work-place coaching using the Enneagram. Easily translatable to personal coaching. Highly recommend to any Enneagram Coach.
Dr. Ginger Lapid-Bogda offers practical, insightful and brilliant coaching approaches using the Enneagram. As a coach, it helps me to use clients’ respective types to target their particular mental and emotional obstacles to their goals. More importantly, it offers invaluable specific step-by-step questions and tools for the coach to implement based upon type. This book is a must-read for coaches who want to use the power of the Enneagram to help their clients achieve meaningful results, but have not yet figured out how - Dr. Bogda has in the excellent guide!
This book is very niche: for coaches who have some foundational understanding of the Enneagram types, and want to leverage the client's enneagram type to ask the client better questions. Since each type has a different underlying motivation and core struggle, the coach can adjust their coaching style to meet those needs. Useful for coaches but wouldn't work so well for someone looking to learn more about the Enneagram. I'd also say that coaches need to read a different book to become familiar with the Enneagram (say, Riso or Rohr) to get an introduction before reading this one.
