Haunted Love: Tales Of Ghostly Soulmates, Spooky Suitors, And Eternal Love

Rate this book
Romance is undeniably otherworldly. Heart racing, breath quickening, senses ablaze―it's all part of what makes love so frighteningly grand. As Francois de La Rouchefoucauld said four centuries ago, “It is with true love as it is with ghosts; everyone talks about it, but few have seen it.” And yet, there are those who have seen both. Welcome to Haunted Love . With settings ranging from southern Florida to South Korea, Haunted Love delivers a rich and varied collection of tales that touch the heart and tingle the spine. The book features lush historical narratives that capture all of the tenderness, heartbreak, and raw emotion of the love affairs along with the chillingly detailed encounters with the ghosts these ill-fated romances left behind.

Haunted Love is a collection of real life ghost stories that show love transcends in the afterlife. The stories range from tragic to heartwarming. From spirits that roam their old homes searching for their spouse to a curse from a heartbroken woman to jilted lovers meeting a tragic end, these stories will grab your attention.

A few of the stories such as Thomas Rowe’s Leading Lady and a Rose-Scented Dancer, I’ve heard before. But there were some stories such as The Fisherman’s Wife of Red Moon Island were new tales.

Whether you’re a paranormal fanatic or just love a good romance story, this is a book that will make your heart jump.

This is one to keep and re read the first week in October. The stories supposedly true tales of cursed love or revenge and heartbroken ladies isn't exactly scary. So not for Halloween Week scary read, but it can lead into a month long fall read just before pulling out the thrillers and traditional E.A. Poe type works. I liked it.

Loved the stories-- they even coincide with Ghost shows that I watch.

I did not finish it. Saccharine, dramatic and glossy interpretations of lore. I was looking for moody, dark bats in the graveyard not colorful butterflies in a meadow.

some of these ghost stories were not of the love type. a few were mainly revenge driven and mostly it read like straight fiction. especially the last story about the fisherman and his mistress.
