When my loyalty to my people is tested, the decision I make will change the course of my life forever…
I'm not sure where my loyalties lie.
Of one thing I'm certain, though, is that my fraternal twin sister, Jolie, who also happens to be the Queen of the Underworld, should be my sworn enemy.
But after spending months with Jolie, I can’t deny the fact that I genuinely care for my sister, much though I shouldn’t.
If it weren’t maddening enough that my relationship with Jolie is anything but black and white, then there’s Sinjin.
Cool, calm, and calculated, Sinjin Sinclair is everything I should find reprehensible in a man.
I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.
My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.
Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!
Extremely disappointed! Beware, this book was weird, rushed and contained lazy writing.
My first complaint would be the entrance of a new character, Dureau Chevalier. It's clear he's going to have a bigger role as the series goes on, mainly a love interest. To be clear, I don't dislike love triangles so that's not what I'm annoyed about. Earlier in this book, Bryn randomly explains that ever since she was young, she had recurring dreams about the same handsome man. Then, wouldn't you know it, her dream man turns out to be Dureau Chevalier! Wait, what? But this is the first time we've heard about these dreams! Aaaand there's the lazy writing I was talking about. Look, I kind of like the girl/man of my dreams trope, I really do. But it requires planning and setting it up. You can't just pull it out of thin air and expect your readers to be fine with it.
My other criticisms are listed below: 1. When 'Blood Lust', book 2.5 was released, why charge money for a novella when it was going to be combined with 'The Gentleman'? I'm quite angry about this! I'm asking for a refund for the novella that I paid for!
2. Why on earth is the number sequence for this series so out of sync? It goes Sinjin (1),The Scent (2), Blood Lust (2.5), The Gentleman (4)!! Some sites even list the novella, Blood Lust, as #3.
3. In my opinion, Sinjin's POV is poorly written. The character rambles during internal monologues, cracks a feeble joke and then repeats about how he's thinking about Bryn's ass.
I've had mixed feelings about this author for a while due to the length of her novels and cliffhangers but I wanted to persevere due to the amazing characters like Sinjin and Bram. Unfortunately, I'm saying goodbye.
I can’t wait for the next book. That cliffhanger was the perfect place to stop. I have so many questions! I can’t get enough of these books. I loved seeing how Sinjin and Brynn’s relationship has changed. I’m excited to see where they end up. I enjoyed seeing how Jolie and Sinjin’s relationship is still very close. Sinjin is one of my favorite characters. It was nice to hear his side. Excited for the next one!
Sinjin seeks justice for the terrible treatment of Bryn by their enemy. He immediately puts a plan in motion to infiltrate their camp where she was held. Sinjin is able to partially avenge Bryn, but when things go sideways, he must flee. He has no idea the damage he's done.
Bryn has a terrible dream that shocks her to her core. When Sinjin returns, she realizes it was more than a dream, it was a vision. To make matters more confusing, Bryn meets the "man of her dreams", or at least the man she's long dreamed about, Dureau. But nevermind her feelings for Dureau and Sinjin. She and her sister, Jolie, have a battle to prepare for.
The third installment in author H.P. Mallory's BRYN AND SINJIN series, THE GENTLEMAN, is just as much a page turner as it's predecessors, SINJIN and THE SCENT, if not more so. THE GENTLEMAN goes back and forth from Sinjin's POV to Bryn's. It was very insightful to Sinjin's character as we, the readers, have previously only heard things from Bryn's POV. The plot thickens and once again, there's a cliffhanger, which is one of the reasons I remain hooked on Ms. Mallory's addictive novels.

I had no idea this series was still being written when I decided to read it. I just came about it one day and it looked intriguing. I have never read this author before. I am actually wishing I had read the Jolie Wilkins series first before starting this series but nonetheless, it still has me hooked. This book was probably my favorite out of the series as Brynn is finally beginning to identify herself outside of Luce’s stronghold. Sinjin is absolutely captivating due to his personality. Watching him fall in love with Brynn without even knowing that’s what’s exactly happening is quite intriguing. For the first time in his long life he’s confused my his own emotions and feelings. This in itself is really humbling as he tends to be so confident almost cockily so. I can’t say enough about this series!! And the way the book ended it took me a minute to realize this was a new release and I had to wait for another release to finish the series lol
H.p. Mallory has done it again. What she writes is absolute genius. The Gentleman pulled me into the story from the very first page. Bryn realizes the fate of her people's lives might very well rest in her knowledge of a horrible vision she experienced. Will they be able to solve the mystery in time? Sinjin is still the sexy, arrogant vampire he always has been and Bryn is having to deal with the traumas she has suffered all the while trying to figure out how to save everyone. Sinjin soon finds out he might not be the only one pining for Bryn's affection when a stranger shows interest in Bryn. This book had such a tight grip on me and wouldn't let go. I could not stop reading. I have loved Bryn and Sinjin's journey from the first book and can truly say each book has gotten better and better. H.p. Mallory's books are so well written that you feel like you are right there in the story. I absolutely can't wait to find out what happens next in this amazing series.
I have loved Sinjin since Jolie's series & I was so excited to find out he was getting his own series. Bryn & Sinjin's series is such a page turner. I highly recommend to readers to start from Jolie Wilkins series since this is a spin-off but if not then that's fine too. The only thing that really drives me crazy about H.P. Mallory's books are the cliffhangers. Which of course cause the readers to highly anticipate the next book which I know is the whole point. I can't wait to find out what happens next!
I don't like cliff hangers and have put books down and not continued to buy them because of that. This is a good story so you sucked me in. I would prefer an author complete the book and charge three times the money than have to wait and possibly forget to finish the story. It's really irritating. I like your characters they are interesting and lovable.
Please type as fast as your fingers can go!!! I can't wait to see brynns decisions on her relationships in the next book! I also love the way you wrote Sinjin in this book, I love him being flustered! Once again great writting and I can't wait to see what happens next!
I love me some Sinjin. From the beginning of the series he's fighting what he wants. I love me some Brynn. From the beginning of the series she has denied herself from what she wants. They both should become martyrs with all this self- imposed suffering. H.P. Mallory has done it again!!!
I love the Bryn and Sinjin story but this book was a let down. It was excruciating my slow and repetitive. Almost like the Authur wanted to do another book before the big war we all know is coming. And to think how long I waited for this book. Was so not worth the wait.
This is another great addition to the series. I love the fact that Sinjin has some competition.. This is making him more vulnerable. and causing him to reflect more on his feelings. I'm still on team Sinjin, I can't help it I love his character. Totally recommend the series and the author. HP Mallory has become one of my favorite authors. She is definitely worth reading
The Sinjin /Bryan story continues and is just as good as the previous books. The sad part is the book as always ends before I a ready to stop reading. Waiting for the next book to be released is my least favorite thing. I am not going to talk about the contents of the book as I always like a hi
This story just keeps dragging even though I feel I'm at the tip of my chair. It's like I feel something is about to happen but then nothing really does. I find myself waiting and waiting and then it's over. I will definitely read the next book too though because at the end of the day I'm a fan of Singin and now Bryn too.
It's been months, probably even years since I read book 2 of this series, The Scent, and I was still able to start this book, remember characters and situations the further I read, and become captivated by the writing! Definitely a page turner...I took the book with me everywhere and couldn't put it down!!!
This book is ok, her other books kept me intrigued to the end.. I didn’t have that this time, in fact it seemed to repeat over and over. I found myself skipping paragraphs to get to the end.. it bounced all over to now have another book to continue the story.. undecided on getting the next book 😢
H.P. Mallory always leaves me wanting more. Can't wait for the story to continue. I need to start waiting for a book or 2 to come out and binge reading. These characters make you want to be there with them.
Such mystery awaits as the team tries to get ready for battle. With visions coming forth and destruction foretold, what's a girl to do? With not one, but two men vying for her affections...which way should she turn??
These books always leave me wanting more! The storyline the characters everything is well written and it keeps me entertained I cried, it would be even awesome if a movie was made I love these books
I still like this story but I'm finding the Sinjin/ Bryn relationship a bit long winded. The first person jars slightly but that's a personal preference. As I always say, no way I could write so who cares what I think lol. Seriously it's a good series and I will be reading the next one because they have to 'do it' eventually, right?
I am so obsessed with this series! Bryn and Sinjin are two of my all time favorite characters from Mallory's work! Now add in Chevalier a new hottie vying for Bryn's attention and thier story is taking to a whole new level!
This book is fantastic, it is everything that the first book needed to balance the series out and give it room to move forward in a variety of ways. I am looking forward to the rest in the series.
This is the 3rd book inthe Bryn and Sinjin series and I absolutely love this series, which is a spin-off of H.P. Mallory's Jolie Wilkins series which I also loved.
