Kelsey MacLennan is a member of an affluent political family. She steps in to help her brother Ramsey heal from his physical and emotional wounds after a deadly car accident takes the lives of his wife and daughter. Ramsey was running for the Senate but after the tragic loss of his family, he is too devastated to continue campaigning. Kelsey desperately tries to bolster his spirits and his political career.
Devlin Doran, special ops DEA, is determined to prove that the MacLennas are up to their high-brow necks in drug trafficking. Doran and his partner Quinn develop an elaborate plan to expose the family, especially Kelsey, as criminals.
Complicating Kelsey’s life is her half-sister Zoe, a seriously damaged human being who is madly in love with Ramsey’s political opponent, Marvin Frederickson. The depth of his depravity can only be described as evil incarnate.
Take one hot DEA agent and one beautiful smart woman and you know the sparks are going to fly.
Jeanne Foguth has written an entertaining suspense novel. It’s got enough intrigue to keep you turning the page and enough passion to satisfy the most die-hard romantic.
A truly satisfying read. I will order more of Foguth’s novels.
