Praying at Every Turn: Meditations for Walking the Labyrinth

Rate this book
Throughout history people have walked the ancient archetypal spirals of labyrinths as a spiritual practice. Walking the path into the center of the labyrinth is a metaphor for finding one's own center or finding God. Walking out of the labyrinth is a symbol of being reborn into the world. Carole Ann Camp's insightful, meditative book deepens our understanding of this process and gives us practical guidance. With Bible readings, prayers, and stories from the author's many years of experience with the power of the labyrinth, Praying at Every Turn supports us as we take this journey of faith.

Reading for fun. I'm heading to Dublin, Ireland and I will be walking a 5th Century Labyrinth on June 2-14, 2025. So, I wanted to read this book. So far so great! This book was so helpful for my trip. I was able to walk two different labyrinths while in Ireland. The 5th Century labyrinth I walked in the POURING rain! It was so worth it though! My umbrella, this book and me!
The second labyrinth was at Solas Bhride where the Brigantine nuns keep the eternal flame housed for St. Brigid (Goddess and Saint). It was smaller and was made of small rocks and I truly loved it. I took pictures of it as I wanted to make one where I live on Isle au Haut! We have lots of rocks here to do this project in the back of our beautiful church.
If you love walking labyrinths, then this book is a book you would enjoy reading.
